I am really very sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your mother’s stay with us. I hope you will agree that we were quick to respond to these issues once they were brought to our attention but this is not the standard of service that we would ordinarily expect to provide as you will see from the many reviews from residents and relatives before you. It was, however, our pleasure to have Mum stay with us in this short period of time and I am saddened that the points raised in your comments overshadowed the good points from her stay.

Firstly, I would like to extend my thanks on behalf of my team, for the kind gifts you sent to us for caring for your mum - these were greatly appreciated. Being guided by UK government and Public Health England guidance around Covid-19 and what we prefer to call 'in-room services' is, as I am sure you appreciate, very difficult and we must ensure that we keep each of our residents safe where isolation periods are required following visits to high-risk places, such as hospitals. Final account statements are available upon request, as at times of grief they may not always be appropriate.
