Rivermede Court provides quality residential, dementia and short stay care in a luxurious 'home from home' environment. It offers 80 generously proportioned en-suite bedrooms and high-quality facilities including delightful dining areas, cosy lounges, a cafe/bar, cinema and a hair and beauty salon.

All this comes with the added reassurance of 24-hour on-site care and support along with a dedicated activity team providing a variety of activities and events reflecting residents' interests. Rivermede Court also boasts its own driver and vehicle who will ensure residents have a regular outing and excursion schedule to enjoy.

The home offers specialist dementia care in a dedicated area of Rivermede Court. This safe environment has been designed to calm and soothe yet also stimulate the people cared for.

My husband entered Rivermede in October 2021 and was a resident until admitted to into hospital at the end of August. Whenever I visited he seemed well looked after and had put on weight because he ate all the meals! His room was pleasant and overlooked the garden. The monthly bulletin showed that he
was participating in events and going out in the minivan. The staff were very caring and welcoming whenever I visited. Although he had dementia at least he seemed to enjoy the last months of his life. Thank you to all the staff that made this possible.

As POA of a recently deceased resident of Rivermede Care Home, I have nothing but praise for the care and dignity that was given to my charge during his 3 year stay at Rivermede. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and on those occasions where I arrived unannounced and went to his room a member
of staff was often with him and I could see he was very well cared for. The facility is very clean and fresh and given my charge actually gained a little weight during his stay, I believe the food is well prepared and served.
I know Rivermede is not an inexpensive option, but I do believe that for my charge it was certainly value for money considering the care and attention he received during his stay.
Finally, a big thank you to his care team whom I thought were excellent.

My mother has Alzheimer's which was diagnosed during a lockdown and during 2021, we realised we would need care much earlier than we thought. Looking at homes was a really daunting experience and felt like we didn't know what questions to ask. Visiting Rivermede made us realise how different the approach
is (and those who start talking about their shareholders and parent companies before they have even asked you about your parent are to be avoided) as they wanted to know who and how she was, where things were and how fast we needed to move. In our case, it was within days. Looking back, it was amazing how things were organised and the contact from the team during the whole process helped me take a breath for the first time in months. My siblings and I felt at ease especially in the middle of covid. Nearly six months on and we cannot fault the care and our mother is well and safe. Our thanks to the whole team and the other amazing staff.

My mum has been in Rivermede, Egham, for over a year and I have to say that all the effort the carers make to keep the residents entertained and mentally stimulated is amazing. They organise games, quizzes and arrange for outside entertainers, such as singers or piano players to come to the home. They
make a special effort to mark relevant events such as Remembrance Sunday, Valentine’s Day, Yorkshire pudding day, the National Blood Transfusion day; there have been many others,
Every day they have a fantastic tea, with freshly made individual cakes.
The choice of food available is great and the chef is aware of everyone’s likes and dislikes and remembers them too!

I have been very impressed with the quality and care that my mum has received over the last two months. Every member of staff are polite and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them to make my mother comfortable and content. They also answer any questions that I might have and inform
me of any problems regarding my mother. I know my mum feels safe in their care and I would have no hesitation in recommending Rivermead to friends with elderly relatives who are thinking of going into care.

My aunt has settled in nicely. The staff, when I visited, were very friendly and attentive. Even visiting during Covid everyone made me feel very safe. I found the facilities very nice and the gardener was lovely. I would recommend this care home in a heartbeat.

My mother, who has severe dementia, became a resident earlier this year on the recommendation of a friend. I have been very impressed with the standard of care and the high level of monitoring in place to meet her rather complicated needs. It is good to know that she is clean, safe and well looked after.
The home itself is lovely and I am very impressed with the staff and the level of involvement of those residents who are able in various projects.

I cannot recommend this home more highly. I researched many homes before bringing my brother up from Dorset. I had a shortlist of three, and this home far out-did the others. The home itself is beautiful, the staff fantastic, facilities wonderful, and more than anything, I appreciated 'no hidden costs'

We all share the common goal of putting our residents first and ensuring the highest level of care.
I am delighted to join Cinnamon as their dedication to offering luxury living with exceptional care is a vision shared by me.


My Experience:
I have worked in the care industry since 1998 and been a registered manager in different settings supporting people with varied needs since 2004, with a background in working with the elderly and in dementia care.
Before starting at Cinnamon I was the registered manager of a residential home which had received an Outstanding CQC rating twice in a row.

What I do
I am absolutely delighted to be a part of the Rivermede team here at Cinnamon Care. As the Home Admissions Adviser, it is a privilege to help families find a perfect solution for their loved ones during the later stages of their life.


My Experience
I have over eight years’ experience working within the care sector, supporting families throughout the journey, from their initial call, through the move-in process, and getting to see them regularly when they visit family within the home. Care homes give people the chance for a relaxed, stress-free and enriched life and it’s lovely to see our new residents settle in, make friends and become happier enjoying what each day’s activities can bring to them.


About Me
I love nature and animals. I live in a cottage and have four dogs that require plenty of attention and exercise. I enjoy short breaks abroad and love to see and create art where possible. My family are all artistic including an illustrator, painter, calligrapher and children’s book writer.

What I Do: I'm the Activity Co-Ordinator at Rivermede Court and my role is to compose activities and events for our residents that are inductive, enjoyable,
and exciting. I liaise within the local community events within the home and visits to outside events too.
This helps to promote a social network for our residents.
My role includes activity plans based on well being, mental stimulation, physical well -being and of course the most important ingredient fun.


My Experience: I am a qualified hairdresser, however, I have been for the past 20 years working around care for children starting as an au-pair all the way to teaching assistant and cub scout leader. I have been helping out organizing events and fundraising in our local community.


About me: I am family-oriented person, I love spending time with my two lovely children and my partner together we are enjoying adventures trips or just staying home playing board games. In my twenties, I spend 5 years travelling around the world. I love playing board games and I am up for any challenge. My hobbies are cooking, baking, any types of craft, gardening and scouting.

I have been working as a chef for over 20 years and have been in the UK living and working as a chef for more than 15 years.


I am Spanish and I am a passionate, confident, and creative chef. I love to create delicious and nutritious menus using fresh seasonal ingredients from the local area.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

What I do:
I started work at Rivermede Court last year as a Team Leader and have recently been promoted to Deputy Manager. I am enjoying my new role and all the challenges it brings. I am looking forward to growing the fantastic team at Rivermede Court and in helping to deliver excellent person centred care.


My experience:
Originally from Luxembourg, I came to the UK in 2006 and have worked in the care sector ever since I started as a Care Assistant and I have worked my way up from Carer to Senior Carer to Care Manager. I have worked in different care settings mostly homes that provided nursing care. My passion lies within the care sector and my ambition is to make a positive difference in people‘s lives.


About me:
I have recently gotten married. It only took 14 years but we got there in the end. In my spare time I like to meet with friends, have coffee and watch the world go by. I also enjoy reading a good book.

My main role is to support my team and provide the highest standards of cleanliness in Rivermede Court for the residents.


I have been Head Housekeeper for 15 years in the care industry and have now come to Cinnamon Care. I feel very privileged to be working with such a professional team.


In my spare time, I enjoy decorating, walking my dogs and spending time with my family, especially my 8 grandchildren.

Job Title: Administrator

Joined: 2021

I am the administrator for the home and I deal with a variety of tasks including recruitment, HR admin, payroll to name just a few. I also manage and support the reception team. This is my first role in a care setting, but I have had many years of experience in administration roles. I have been working at Rivermede Court for 6 months now and I absolutely love my job. It feels like a privilege to be able to come to work in such beautiful surroundings and to be met by so many smiling faces every morning.
