I have been in discussion with the staff at Henley Manor for over 18 months about transferring my mum (with dementia) from her care home. Mum was then admitted into hospital whereby I decided that it was the right time for mum to move. I cannot praise the team highly enough at Henley Manor, from the
assistance they gave me with the transfer and with the subsequent care that mum is now receiving - nothing is too much trouble and mum is so much brighter in herself. I would have no hesitation in recommending Henley Manor.

Looking to consolidate my wife’s recovery from a hip fracture operation, I was fortunate to be able to book her in for a short convalescent stay at Henley Manor. Newly built, this is a bright, clean, well equipped and welcoming care home. All my enquiries were dealt with promptly and courteously. My
wife’s health and medication details were carefully assessed by video call before admission to make sure her needs could be met. She was given a spacious room overlooking the well-kept garden. The staff are delightful, giving the impression of being happy in the work they do, unfailingly caring, patient and responding promptly to any call for assistance. For lunch she was offered a choice of two starters, mains and desserts. Tea included a delicious piece of cake. My wife’s opportunity to enjoy the excellent amenities and daily activities was necessarily restricted by the fourteen-day Covid quarantine requirement. But all in all, we were very pleased with our choice of Henley Manor.

We moved my mother to Henley Manor Care Home only very recently - not straightforward during lockdown! - and so, because of the robust covid restrictions in the home and visiting not yet allowed, I can only comment on our limited experience so far.
From what we have been able to see, this is a lovely
home, very light and fresh, with lovely staff and a proactive approach. We are fully confident that, as covid restrictions are lifted and visiting is resumed, Mum will settle very happily into her new environment.

My mother was keen to choose a care home in the area if she had to move into one, as she has lived in the area for many years and it meant that family and friends could visit. We have been so impressed with the staff who are extremely helpful and friendly and have helped my mother settle in. Nothing
is too much trouble, and they respond quickly. The home is light, airy and well equipped and there is a range of activities on offer including a small cinema. My mother found the Remembrance Day Service especially moving. It was really good that my mother could take a few items of small furniture and pictures into her room and these were delivered in advance and put in her room, helping the transition and making it more personal when she arrived. It has been a big adjustment for my mother and the family, but the staff have been very sensitive to this, understanding and welcoming.

I can't think of a tougher time for a family to move a relative into residential care and I'd been very concerned about moving my mother into Henley Manor despite having picked it out during an extensive search early in 2020. My mum, who is very fit but suffers from a significant dementia condition,
has settled in extremely well and clearly loves being at Henley Manor.
The staff that I've had the pleasure to meet have been professional, attentive and delightful; I'm hugely relaxed that we took the right decision at the right time. The current rules related to Covid19 have been strictly enforced, and despite that, they have communicated effectively and created a very pleasant visitor suite that allows for very comfortable visits despite the need to maintain a physical separation.
I'm extremely pleased with the proactive and reactive support that we've had so far, and now five weeks in, this has clearly been a very good decision.
Well done, Henley Manor.

From the first contact, the staff were friendly, easy to deal with and understanding about Mum's situation. The flexible and friendly professionalism continued once Mum moved in. Lots of little touches made the process easy and more personalised (including a welcome bunch of flowers in Mum's room and
ensuring my brother and I had her direct telephone line telephone number immediately). The staff made a lot of effort to help her integrate (even with the initial constraints of isolation - a Covid precaution that all new residents currently go through). As a result, Mum has quickly made friends and is taking advantage of the wide range of activities on offer and the excellent facilities. The move has given our mother a new lease of life and my brother and I are relieved to know she is being expertly and kindly looked after. NB: some of my ratings are based on discussions with my mother vs my own observations - I have not been inside the home due to the current restrictions.

Following a fall, my mother went into Henley Manor in May. She has always been fiercely independent and reluctant to go into residential care. It has proved a revelation! Being brand new, the home is clearly immaculate. My mother, however reluctantly, has started engaging with some of the communal activities
and is clearly enjoying it and being stimulated. And she can't speak highly enough of the staff and how friendly and attentive they are. It all seems highly professional too. My mother already looks and sounds years younger!

My Mum, who suffers very badly with anxiety and confusion, moved to Henley Manor in the middle of March, shortly before all the Covid-19 restrictions were introduced. So the circumstances have been very strange for her and all the family, especially as we have not been able to visit. However, as requested,
the staff made sure her direct dial telephone was available from day 1, so I have been able to chat to her several times a day. Also, they have been very kind sending me pictures and updates. It is clear that they have gone to great lengths to help Mum settle in, which is particularly commendable in the current climate. I am extremely grateful for their care.

My Mother had a number of issues including dementia and other medical conditions, meaning staying at home was no longer an option. When searching for a Care Home, Henley Manor met all my requirements as far as a home was required. Excellent facilities, superb bedrooms, restaurants and common areas that
I would hope for in a brand new home. However, I have been even more impressed with the staff, now that she has been in the home for a couple of months. They have really tried to help Mum settle in and engage with the other residents in activities. Having lived in her old house for nearly 50 years, the upheaval was always going to be stressful. But, I am very happy that she is being well looked after by some very caring people.

Henley Manor opened in February 2020 and is simply beautiful. The transition from home to care has been made so much easier due to the support and personal attention from the team involved. From my first interaction through to arrival, everything was taken care of working together to support my Dad.
I cannot recommend Henley Manor highly enough and wish the team continued success in their flourishing, welcoming home.

This is a brand new home built and equipped to a very high standard. My mother is a native of Henley and so was able to appreciate the various detailed town memorabilia scattered around the home, even down to motifs of St Mary's church on the wallpaper. There is a very high ratio of staff to residents
which ensure hugely attentive care, almost over-attentive. No doubt this will diminish a bit over time as the home fills up, but the home seems able to attract high-quality carers who are sympathetic, dedicated and full of enthusiasm for their role. In addition, all the managers I have met are highly professional and very reactive to queries or suggestions. I can highly recommend this home.

I have worked as a nurse for over 20 years and the past 10 years I have specialised in elderly care and working with people living with dementia. My philosophy is to provide person-centred care that embraces holistic and meaningful care for residents. I pride myself in leading a team that provides high-quality support in a culturally healthy environment.
