I find the situation very enjoyable the staff are excellent and make you feel you are a person not someone off the street.

Mother has been at care home for a few months now. We have found Poets to be well run, friendly and clean. Mother is well looked after with plenty of interaction with carers/staff with good activities going on to break up the day. Overall Poets is like a hotel with a warm welcome always given.

Every member of staff are friendly, supportive, patient, professional and always have time for the residents and their family. The whole team no matter what their job are involved in making my dear mum as comfortable, happy and well cared for at all times night and day. We could not ask for more from

Poets Mews Care Home is very light and open, kept very clean and staff are very friendly and approachable. Management are contactable and communicate through online meetings and email. Residents are treated with kindness and respect and their room spaces are respected, with knocks before entering. Mum
seems to spend time on her own in her room and we are not sure how much encouragement she receives from staff to be more sociable and involved with daily activities. Overall, we are very pleased with Mum's care.

Lovely home, warm and welcoming, reception staff are very attentive and management are always available when wanting to talk with them, all staff are friendly and caring and I couldn't ask for anything better for my gran, she is always well presented and happy!

A smiley and friendly receptionist greets us on arrival, excellent care staff, they are very caring to all the residents, very clean home. I love following Poets Mews Care Home on social media, seeing the photos of mum enjoying the activities and smiling when I am not visiting her and unable to see
it myself. Living in Dorset is especially nice that I can book a meal in the private dining room and have it with mum when we visit. Any little issues are promptly sorted out by the handymen. Mum has settled in and says she is being spoilt and lucky to find a lovely home. This is a first-class care home, thank you and well done.

This is the second time I have been to Poets Mews for a week's respite and I must say If I had to go to a care home this is the one I would definitely consider. All the staff are so kind, nothing is too much trouble. The foreign staff were especially helpful. Having a facility for hot drinks at any
time is a bonus. Thank you all.

A huge thank you to the staff at Poets Mews who made our family celebrations with Mum on her 93rd Birthday such a special day.
It was her first Birthday at Poets Mews after moving in a couple of months ago. Where she has settled in very well and is enjoying all that Poets Mews offers. We as a family

We are very happy with Poets Mews as is my father. The staff are always helpful and cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. Dad has settled very well into Poets Mews.
The facilities are excellent, clean and in particular the staff at all levels are kind, friendly and inclusive. I always get a big welcome, and Dad is very obviously well looked after and above all safe.
Minor points would be some more activities for men
- most of the male residents are engineers it seems - and they would enjoy a model construction/building club? Maybe better communication re health please.

Poets Mews seems to be constantly understaffed and asking for simple things to be done seems very challenging. I have asked for my Mum’s TV to be installed for months and pictures put up but it is a gradual and slow process. If you are in on respite nothing is too much trouble until you become a permanent
resident, staff are constantly running around, great lack of management. A friend of my mum's who is a care home nursing manager has commented to us how badly this home is managed. Managers work 9 till 5, but most have left by 4 pm, they only care about money. Constant agency staff who don't even know who the senior carer is or the duty manager.
Positives, nice decor, warm, food is ok, coffee room.
Negatives, always a lot of strangers wandering about, my mum's room is not clean, light fitting full of dirt and dead flies, bathroom dirty, corridors smell of urine and are covered up with air fresheners, very understaffed, lack of decent management. Very high fees all considered.

Mum has been here now for six months and has settled in amazingly. The staff have been extremely conscientious and very understanding of Mum's needs. We love to visit her here and are so happy to see her settled and happy. Management is always available with any concern that we have.

After visiting a friend in Poets Mews for just over a year I thought it’s time I’d left a review. As soon as you walk in it feels welcoming. We can sit and have a coffee and cake in the garden or in one of the beautiful lounges. The staff are polite, friendly and attentive. The management and reception
team are always helpful and welcoming. The home is clean and tidy and their bedroom is always the same. The range of activities they have to offer covers many interests and have even joined in myself sometimes! My friend always compliments the food and the dining room always looks well presented.

We moved my dad from hospital to Poets Mews in May. My dad is on the memory floor as he has dementia, he is treated with dignity and respect. He is well cared for and receives great support from the care staff when required. I visit every day, Dad is always showered and wearing clean clothes. The home
is spotlessly clean, Dad's room is always clean and tidy.
Dad says the food is excellent and there is always plenty of it. All the meals I have seen look delicious.
The activities are just right for Dad, as he enjoys the weekly chair yoga as he has always been an active person. He enjoys the art sessions, but his favourite are weekly music sessions, it's a different choir, singer, or musician every week.
I cannot fault the staff at Poets Mews, as it's been a very stressful time, making the difficult decision to move Dad there, as we could no longer manage him at home. The support and care given to myself and my mother has been amazing.
Dad says he is happy and very well cared for.

My husband has been on the memory floor for a few months now. I know he is safe and well cared for. The food he keeps telling me is great. The staff are always smiling and kind to both my husband and me. Even when he is being difficult and believe me he can be difficult, they always try to make things
right for him. He enjoys doing some of the things like armchair yoga, and the diffrent music. Along with most dementia people they sometimes say no to doing things even when the staff know it is something they would like. They can't be made to do anything so it's very difficult in those circumstances for the staff as they have to respect that persons wishes. The staff from the from all departments at Poet's Mews deserve a medal for doing a very difficult job which I and my family were no longer able to do for my husband. I visit most days and see how the staff trying to make things fun for residents, ice cream sodas, cheese and pineapple on sticks . Well done to you all.

My mother has been a resident at Poets Mews for some fifteen months. She has dementia. She is totally happy and talks about the wonderful place where she lives. I have absolute confidence in the staff and the quality of the care my mother receives twenty-four-seven. The staff show affection for my mother
