Can only say the whole experience within Hutton View Care Home from initial reception to completion of installing family member was a pleasure. We were given first class help and support. The care and attention to detail was second to none and would highly recommend it to anyone considering this route.

Well, Mum and Dad have only been here a month and the transformation in Mum is unbelievable. In fact, thinking of moving in myself. Seriously there is nothing not to like. The food is excellent, staff brilliant. So carry on Hutton View Care Home with such high standards.

Both parents moved in last autumn, having had a 28-day respite break. Both were anxious about the move and Dad, in particular, was not sure he really wanted to be there, although accepted he needed to be. Both are 98 years old, but both are pretty independent and staff have worked hard to find a balance
between caring for them and enabling them to look after themselves. They have now both settled and are enjoying life there. Both say the staff are the best thing about the place, saying they are always cheerful, upbeat, polite, helpful and kind. I have always found managers helpful and responsive and feel welcomed when I or other family members visit.

Since the minute Mum arrived she has been treated with care and dignity. Staff always explain what is happening and most importantly she is always given a choice. Since arriving from hospital Mum has improved every day which our family is grateful for. From the first phone call make, to enquire about
help for mum to recover staff have taken time to advise/help about the steps needed and ensure she has the care needed. Thank you.

My father has just finished a short stay at Hutton View recovering from a hip operation. It is a beautiful, welcoming home that is nothing like a stereotypical care home. The rooms are light and spacious and there are lots of areas for residents and their visitors to relax in - a cafe, several lounges
and even a cinema room. The food is excellent, but most of all the staff are wonderful - they looked after Dad really well and always seemed to have time to chat to him. Every single team member seems to genuinely care. This was his second stay there and he would happily return.

After six months of getting a feel for the home and seeing my mum thrive, it is especially satisfying that we chose this care home. The staff are the friendliest and most supportive group I could wish to meet. The home itself is very well furnished and always presented well, and any themed event is
so well done by the team there. The organised activities have improved, and it is not unusual for me to find Mum playing a game or having a group sing-song when I arrive - actually mostly, I feel that I am getting in the way of them having a good time! It has been a complete relief to know my mum is so well looked after. Thank you, everyone, at Hutton View.

Our mum stayed for a respite visit. She was made to feel welcome immediately. As relatives, we were kept fully informed and involved, which was very reassuring. We were invited to have a meal with my mum, which was a lovely gesture. The home is beautiful, immaculately clean, has plenty of activities
and great facilities. Our mum has loved her stay there, she has made friends with the other residents and would not hesitate to go there again for a stay if required.

My dad has been newly diagnosed with dementia. This has been handled sensitively, compassionately and professionally by Hutton View Care home. Our transition from home care to full-time dementia care has been dealt with by the staff with such care. The carers genuinely care. Every time I visit Dad he
is being looked after in various locations with staff around - in the garden or being helped to get dressed or sitting with his mates. It is just lovely to see.

Mum was welcomed warmly and has settled in well. The staff are all great, caring and attentive. She is encouraged to join in but not pressured. All the home is clean and the food is very nice.

The atmosphere is excellent, the staff very caring, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

On the whole, this is an excellent home. All staff are very care orientated. The building is excellent, with modern facilities. I would like to have seen more activities organised, but I suspect this is likely to improve as the number of residents increases. I believe an opportunity was missed to include
air conditioning in the rooms hence the slight mark down in the area. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anybody.

Our Dad has vascular dementia and was in a care home over an hour away from us, which made visiting difficult. We decided to explore options closer to home and visited many of those in and around Brentwood. On visiting Hutton View Care Home we were blown away by all aspects of facilities available and
the high standard of care provided. The customer liaison manager, the deputy manager and the dementia care manager have all listened to our needs for Dad to the finest detail and have been empathic and supportive in the difficult decisions we were making. The attention to detail in enabling us to make the move as smooth as possible, with minimal distress for Dad, was so important and the welcome he received was fantastic. He has been at the home a week and he is a different person. The staff are so very friendly and kind, they are supportive and accommodating, they make a lovely cup of tea and are always ready with a cake to go with it! We just wish we had made the move sooner!

Staff have been fantastic since the first call. As a family, we have been through horrific trauma and a staff member supported me incredibly well. I wouldn't have coped without her! This is not a normal care home, it's like a hotel, but the people are what makes it. I slept on Friday night for the first

Hutton View Care Home is a welcoming friendly and very professional home that makes the happiness and health of their residents their primary concern.
I have supported a resident at the home from prior to her going into Hutton View and I have continued to assist her with medical appointments and visit
her as a companion. My client has been at Hutton View since July 2021. I have always found the staff to be helpful, communicate well and feel like we always work well together for the best of the client. Although her needs are demanding the staff try at all times to keep her happy and engaged going out of their way to ensure that she is happy and safe. She truly couldn't be in safer hands.

Excellent friendly care home, beautifully furnished with welcoming caring staff.
In early 2022 the assisted living home next door will open and with it the grounds between the two buildings will open and with it the grounds between the buildings giving a spacious outside feel including a fish pond
for residents to enjoy. I can't wait to see it!

I am delighted to be joining the team at Hutton View as General Manager, having worked within the care industry for over 20 years.


I will be drawing on my previous experience as a registered manager and my passion for delivering person-centred dementia care, which has a positive outcome for people using our services.


I passionately believe in Hallmark’s vision to create communities that enhance the quality of life and give rise to new beginnings and new futures. Hutton View is a home offering exceptional care in beautiful surroundings and I feel privileged to be leading a passionate and dedicated team to enable this.


Chelsea

Chelsea McGirr

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Chelsea is the Deputy Manager at Hutton View Care Home.


She started in care when she was 18 years old after completing level three in health and social care and it is now coming up to 7 years.


Chelsea started as a care assistant and has worked her way up to Deputy Manager and is currently completing a level 4 qualification in leadership and will progress onto a level 5 management course.

There Chelsea had many placements; hospices, surgical wards, dementia care wards, ante-natal clinics, and pediatric wards but her heart lies with older adults.


Chelsea says "My passion is end-of-life care and currently am the home’s champion for end-of-life care and work closely with the local hospices to provide dignified, person-centred end-of-life care ensuring that families feel supported along the way, I absolutely love my job and could never imagine doing anything else!


Chelsea's favourite part of her job is building relationships with the residents and their loved ones to create communities that enhance the lives of those we care for.
