Hutton View Care Home has changed my views towards care homes. The home has exceeded my expectations and Mum is extremely happy to be there. The building yes is new, but the true picture is what Hutton View staff do. They are very professional friendly caring sympathetic and I feel my Mum is in the
best hands which is a tremendous relief knowing Mum is cared for 24/7 and I cannot recommend Hutton View enough.
Whilst every member of staff I have encountered have been truly professional I would like to personally say thank you to the people who have help me and mum to adjust to the placement with the smoothest of transitions.

I can confirm that the overall standards at Hutton View have remained very high.
The concerns my cousin had raised before about food have now been addressed. We have eaten there ourselves on two occasions and been delighted with the lunches provided. The hospitality service manager and his colleagues
looked after us very well.
The visits were subject to Covid risk assessment, which the management organised for us, and it was good to be able to spend more time with our cousin, as we live a long way away.

Arriving as a Nonagenarian I was given a friendly welcome and have good liaison with all the staff, many of whom are from Asian or European countries. There are attractive daily programmes on offer each week and chances to walk outside for exercise and other activities in warmer weather. The menus contain
good variety and good ingredients but unfortunately, some main meals are spoiled by lack of catering knowledge for OAP's especially with vegetables.

Nothing was too much trouble and always greeted with a warm smile. During my stay, I made many friends and special memories. All the staff were very approachable and had such caring attitudes. I was always treated with such dignity and respect and made to feel I was a V.I.P!

My father has been a resident for 2 weeks now and I honestly cannot recommend the home highly enough. I had agonized for some time over whether to organise full-time carers in his own home or to look at a residential care home and I'm so happy that I opted for Hutton View. The building itself is beautifully
appointed throughout, more reminiscent of a luxury hotel than a care home, but most importantly to me is the quality of care and support he receives from every staff member. He can't stop telling me how much he likes it there (or how good the food is!) and his newly relaxed demeanour is a testament to that.
The support extends to family members too, from your very first point of contact which makes a difficult transition so much easier to cope with. Hat's off to Hallmark too for setting up visitor suites in all of their homes so that families are still able to safely visit their loved ones during the pandemic.

My elderly aunt was only admitted to Hutton View Care Home yesterday, so it is too early to provide a meaningful review and the reason for the ‘don’t know’ in the following options. However, having said that, the support we have experienced from the management team, in dealing with the logistics of
the move, has been second to none. The home and facilities are amazing, and my aunt is already settling in well, with the care team providing exemplary support during this difficult transition period for both her and for my wife and me.

The customer relationship manager has been amazing in arranging the transition from my friend's last care home into Hutton View. He has kept me informed of all developments and ensured the move into Hutton View went smoothly, causing my friend as little disturbance as possible. Above all, the customer
relationship manager took an exceptional amount of time and trouble to ensure my friend's needs were met before he arrived. The service from the whole team has been second to none, and I know Hutton View has created a beautiful, safe and caring environment for my friend to live in. Knowing how isolated he felt before he moved into residential care, I'm incredibly happy for him.

The journey to seeking a suitable care home for a loved one is a challenge for any family, especially when added to pre-existing concerns about their health and wellbeing. However, Hutton View (Hallmark Care Homes) gave us fantastic support and comfort throughout. We received such personal service from
all of the staff at every encounter. Despite the challenging times, amidst a pandemic, our mother's move into Hutton View was managed with such professionalism and a week after her transition, we are already hearing and seeing (via photo and video) the wonderful benefits of the care she is receiving. Clifton Court, Dementia Community is now our mother's home, it provides everything she needs in a warm, friendly, beautifully and cleverly designed environment. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hallmark Care Homes and as a family, we are immediately feeling confident about our decision. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of our hearts.

I am delighted to be joining the team at Hutton View as General Manager, having worked within the care industry for over 20 years.


I will be drawing on my previous experience as a registered manager and my passion for delivering person-centred dementia care, which has a positive outcome for people using our services.


I passionately believe in Hallmark’s vision to create communities that enhance the quality of life and give rise to new beginnings and new futures. Hutton View is a home offering exceptional care in beautiful surroundings and I feel privileged to be leading a passionate and dedicated team to enable this.


Chelsea

Chelsea McGirr

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Chelsea is the Deputy Manager at Hutton View Care Home.


She started in care when she was 18 years old after completing level three in health and social care and it is now coming up to 7 years.


Chelsea started as a care assistant and has worked her way up to Deputy Manager and is currently completing a level 4 qualification in leadership and will progress onto a level 5 management course.

There Chelsea had many placements; hospices, surgical wards, dementia care wards, ante-natal clinics, and pediatric wards but her heart lies with older adults.


Chelsea says "My passion is end-of-life care and currently am the home’s champion for end-of-life care and work closely with the local hospices to provide dignified, person-centred end-of-life care ensuring that families feel supported along the way, I absolutely love my job and could never imagine doing anything else!


Chelsea's favourite part of her job is building relationships with the residents and their loved ones to create communities that enhance the lives of those we care for.

Sommer supports residents and families who are looking to move into a care environment.
