I was admitted to Inspire Neurocare following six months in hospital after my brain tumour operations. I was referred for rehab and stayed for three months. When I arrived I was instantly made welcome, I found the experience strange to begin with having moved around several wards in hospital on a regular
basis. My room felt like a five-star hotel in comparison. All the staff couldn't have done enough for me throughout my stay. I slowly got into a daily routine and became more comfortable within my surroundings with their help and expertise. My confidence gradually increased and I will be forever grateful and in debt to the professional teams who made this possible. Thank you.

My son moved into Inspire in March 2021 after almost 6 months in hospital and another 3 weeks at another hospital. He was bedbound and not speaking communicating verbally only by sign. With great patience, all the staff cared for him. He was moody and unwilling to join in at times but gradually with
their attentive care he now speaks well and his communication skills are virtually back to where they were before August 2020. We will be forever grateful to them all every single one for bringing my son back.

Our daughter has physical and psychological complex needs. Staff have not been daunted in adapting to her care needs with compassion, allowing her to control decision making and choices wherever possible. We are very pleased and confident with the care she is receiving and would praise the empathy we
have observed between patients and staff. The management and all staff are professional, approachable, friendly and always willing and open to respond to questions or concerns. The building itself is wonderfully designed, bright, modern and clean. There is a warm feel to the place. Whilst Covid has brought challenges to staff, service users and their friends and families, we look forward positively to the future and believe Inspire will go from strength to strength.

My brother has been at Inspire for the last 12 months and the care he has received (at a very challenging and difficult time due to Covid) has been exemplary.
Inspire is a real home from home with staff that treat your loved one as if they were their own family, When I said my brother liked music
and used to listen to vinyls and has a load at home the manager went above and beyond to purchase a turntable which I believe my brother and staff have really enjoyed!
The facilities are amazing, the bedrooms like those in a fancy hotel, and the chef cooks food that wouldn’t be out of place on a menu at a fancy restaurant.
My brother and the family are treated with the greatest respect and visits are now a really pleasurable affair in spite of the facemasks and PPE.

The only “niggles” have been due to issues surrounding Covid which have not been due to any fault of Inspire and when we have voiced those concerns staff at Inspire have been quick to respond and act!

My husband sustained a severe head injury following a road traffic accident and he required intensive rehabilitation. We were so relieved when we found Inspire Neurocare Worcester for his continued rehab care.
My husband was treated as an individual and all his care was patient-centered and totally
holistic. His every need was catered for.
Beautiful, modern, stylish and very comfortable surroundings not to mention fantastic, healthy food. A real home from home!
Staff are all very approachable, friendly, empathetic and understanding as well as providing first-class care.
The therapy team strived for the best possible outcome and thankfully my husband progressed so well he finally returned home 6 weeks ago.
We 100% recommend Inspire Neurocare for rehabilitation care following a head injury. Thank you.

Registered General Nurse Lizzie Merrick joined the Inspire Neurocare team in summer 2020.

Since qualifying in 2010, Lizzie has worked across the NHS and independent sectors. Beginning her nursing career in Cheltenham General Hospital, Lizzie worked in the high dependency surgical ward before joining Hereford County Hospital to work in intensive care. In the independent sector, Lizzie has worked as Clinical Lead in a nursing unit and as part of a specialist homecare group providing ventilated care for children in their own homes.

Our team works hard to ensure the highest quality outcomes, and with individuals, family members and loved ones we work together to set goals and ensure people can make their own choices – about care, therapy, hobbies and interests.

From the ground up, Inspire Neurocare was built for people living with the complex needs associated with neurological disabilities. It’s the ideal environment for rehabilitation and recovery, and for people with long-term needs.

“Inspire Neurocare’s difference is in its exceptional commitment to genuinely personalised care. It’s truly built around the needs of the individuals we support – everyone has different types of nursing and therapy depending on their personal goals and abilities. It’s all adapted to each person which leads to the best possible outcomes.

I lead the interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation and care. Our complex nursing care and specialist therapeutic approach allows the people we support people to live good lives and reach their personal goals, however complex the underlying health needs. I’ve worked in specialist complex care, and intensive care, ventilated care and neurocare and having the opportunity to develop in this fascinating area of specialist healthcare is something I’m so enjoying.

The Inspire team is an extraordinary one - the communication between teams about the people we support is outstanding. Inspire Neurocare is a special place where people achieve life-changing outcomes and I look forward to welcoming you to the service. My door is always open.”
