The only “niggles” have been due to issues surrounding Covid which have not been due to any fault of Inspire and when we have voiced those concerns staff at Inspire have been quick to respond and act!

Job Title: General Manager
Joined: 2025
Richard is the General Manager at Inspire Neurocare Worcester, dedicated to ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care and enabling staff to excel in their roles.
Richard began his nursing career in 2012 after qualifying with a degree in Adult Nursing. His first clinical role was in the NHS, specialising in cardiology and cardiac surgery. After two years, Richard transitioned into senior nursing within a brain injury rehabilitation unit in Bristol, subsequently stepping into leadership as Clinical Lead at a large, multi-site Bupa care home.
Over a decade with Bupa, Richard progressed through regional management positions overseeing care homes and retirement villages, where he developed significant expertise in elderly care and long-term conditions. He holds a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification in Health and Social Care and considers himself a people-focused manager who prioritises staff development and resident outcomes.
Richard’s proven track record includes improving CQC ratings and achieving full occupancy with waiting lists at his previous service, alongside outstanding staff retention rates. He firmly believes in active listening and proactive feedback as fundamental to creating a cohesive, high-performing team.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys keeping fit at the gym and spending time with his two daughters, who have introduced him to their favourite hobby - shopping!
