Wilford View Care Home is a purpose-built and located in the Silverdale area of Nottingham. The home specialises in providing residential and dementia care, both on a long term and short term basis including respite.

All staff are highly trained and experienced to ensure residents are safe, secure, well cared for, welcomed and respected. Facilities have been designed so that they are “dementia-friendly” and all staff members receive dementia training, so they can truly make a difference. Their dementia service is headed up by the Home Manager who has both a BSc and MSc in Advanced Dementia Studies. Wilford View is a care home which truly specialises in Dementia Care.

The home contains 83 spacious en-suite bedrooms, all beautifully decorated and furnished.

The home is divided into three individual care suites: Trent, Castle and Robin Hood. Each suite contains a separate lounge, quiet lounge and dining area where residents can dine, relax and unwind. The home has a community feel with a focus on supporting each individual feel part of a family. The team actively encourage loved ones to be involved in the running of the service with the 'Friends of Wilford Committee'.

At Wilford View Care Home, residents can enjoy a range of activities organised by dedicated members of the Well Being Team, who are committed to providing a wide range of activities to suit all needs and support meaningful engagement and occupation.

Wilford View is an outstanding Care Home and I could not wish for anything better for my mother.
Every member of staff shows care and kindness and total professionalism and all my mother's needs are met to a very high standard.
Whilst guidelines have to be met during the situation with COVID everything
possible is done to minimalise the lack of contact with residents and their loved ones through Skype calls, telephone contact and once a week a visit following social distancing regulations.
I would not hesitate to recommend Wilford View to anyone who has to make the difficult decision to move their parent to a care home. Knowing they are safe and well cared for physically, emotionally and socially means a great deal.

The home was found purely by chance and has exceeded my expectations. The staff have made my mother very welcome and comforted her when she has moments of distress over her ill husband. They have been very accomodating in organising hospital visits to see him. The procedures in place for her ongoing
care seem very thorough. The food is excellent and with a choice of dishes in each course, as well as a varied selection over the course of the week. The care team work well together and my mother is very happy here.

Wilford View staff have been amazing with my mum ensuring she gets the attention she needs when she needs it. The care and support given to residents; is excellent, and I feel at ease leaving Mum in their care. All the staff are friendly and easy to deal with. The premises is five stars, extremely clean
and comfortable. The activities my mum has taken part in really make her smile - what more could I want!

Mum has only been in the home for three weeks but so far I have experienced a high standard of care for her. The staff are always willing to help both mum and myself whenever I visit and are always friendly and alert to mums needs.

My mother is a resident at Wilford View and from the moment she arrived, she has been given outstanding care and support. The manager can't do enough for her and the family, she is very supportive. I would highly recommend this home. The standards are very lush and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Considering this care home only opened to residents in December 2019, the standard of commitment and care that staff at all levels have provided to my aunt has been exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for them, their sense of humor and friendliness succeeding in settling my aunt into a new situation
very quickly. Having to deal with her end of life, as their first resident in that situation, was exemplary. Thank you.

Tammason Carlyle

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Joined: 2024

Tam joined the Wilford View Team in 2024 after starting her career in one of our Sister Homes way back in 2019.


Working as a Health Care Assistant, Senior Health Care Assistant, Care Coordinator and Safeguarding Lead, she is now continuing her journey at Wilford View and we are lucky to have her!


Tam has a Psychology degree and qualifications in Leadership and Management.


Passionate about providing outstanding care for the elderly, specialising in mental health and dementia, Tam strives to ensure all residents receive person-centred care and takes pride in sharing moments with residents and families enjoying everything life has to offer.
