Mornington Court is a purpose built luxury care home by Cinnamon Care Collection, who has been recognised as a Top 20 Most Recommended Care Home Group (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021) by carehome.co.uk, and is ideally situated on the edge of the charming market town of New Milton.

This beautiful care home provides 53 en-suite bedrooms plus 2 one-bedroom care suites which include an en-suite bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. The care suites are ideal for couples or individuals who would prefer additional space and greater independence. The majority of ground floor rooms have access to a patio whilst on the first and second floors there are large balconies off the communal areas. The home provides residential and respite care along with a dedicated community for those living with dementia.

Mornington Court has an experienced management team who are supported by the central Cinnamon support team who provide regular training and ongoing personal development to all team members. The home uses the latest electronic care plans, with carers able to update records instantly via the Person Centred Software handsets.

Hobbies and interests are catered for by the dedicated activities team whilst there is plenty of opportunity for social interaction in the café-bar, relaxing in one of the beautiful lounges, enjoying a good film in the cinema or being pampered in the hair and beauty salon. A sumptuous and varied menu is prepared by the Mornington Court chefs and the private dining room is the perfect place for family celebrations.

On my visits which are weekly, I would just like to say that it is just like visiting a 5-star hotel. Everything is spotless, the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Well done on all aspects and keep up the excellent standards.

Where do I start? Every single member of the Mornington Court family has looked after our amazing dad better than we could ever had hoped for. They have all treated him with so much love, kindness and dignity and have made his stay here such a safe and happy one. They have all made his happiness a priority
as they do with every single resident and manage to make the care for each resident so bespoke. Each member of the team here has gone above and beyond and we could not be more grateful. Thank you all. We will be forever grateful to each one of you.

I cannot thank the staff at Mornington Court enough.
They cared for my dad until the end and I felt so reassured every time I left that he was in good hands.
Dad always said he didn't want to end up in a care home but he lived it there. The love, care, professionalism and knowledge of all the staff
was incredible. It feels as though looking after my dad was not a job but a vocation, treating him as part of their extended family and everyone had a part to play - cleaners to chefs (food is amazing), housekeeping. The staff all seem happy there which made for such a lovely, homely atmosphere. I couldn't recommend Mornington Court highly enough.

My mother has settled in well after a long stay in hospital. The staff gone that extra mile to help her recovery. The food is excellent, the gardens are lovely and secure. The rooms and beds are a good size. Overall a very well led team.

I have been at Mornington Court for 13 weeks now. When I first came I felt very lonely but now 13 weeks later I simply love living at Mornington Court. The staff are very caring and have shown great thoughtful care, attending to my every need. At Mornington Court, I look forward every day to seeing
everyone each morning and enjoying word games, coach trips, lovely food, an amazing garden and the great warmth given to you.

I am so grateful for the skill and selfless dedication of the team, in the palliative and end-of-life care of my dad. Every single aspect exceeded all my wishes for his final weeks. I honestly believe that the impeccable standard of care throughout his stay enhanced his well-being and ultimately extended
his time with us. Social and medical needs were met with empathy, compassion and efficiency, from each and every member of the team. Dad was always treated with respect and dignity and was part of the family. In the final days, I was generously provided with a serviced room, so that I could be with him and share precious time. I was immediately made to feel so welcome and experienced first-hand the unfailing dedication and professionalism. The home itself is luxurious, yet the atmosphere is friendly and informal. It is beautifully presented and is maintained to such a high standard. Mornington Court is an outstanding care provider. Thank you just doesn't seem enough.

I cannot thank all the staff at Mornington Court enough. My father-in-law came to live with us earlier this year and with some holidays booked we were keen to find him somewhere to go for respite care whilst we were away. From the beginning, the amazing staff could not have been more supportive and
made the whole process so easy. I would particularly like to thank them for their amazing communication skills and their thoughtfulness. The lead up to his stay was thorough and reassuring and the 2 1/2 weeks he spent at Mornington Court were a real holiday for him too. It is the most beautiful serene place, more like a luxury hotel than a care home with grounds that are perfect to sit in and enjoy the lovely weather. There is a varied activity programme, the food is superb and the dedicated care and kindness from all the staff is second to none. My father-in-law says he was treated like a king and is already looking forward to his next visit later in the year. Thank you so much.

My dad recently passed away while being in Mornington Court. I can not praise the staff enough for the wonderful care they gave my dad, he could not have been in a better place to spend his last days. The team were so caring and thoughtful and supportive to both my dad, my sister and me. We were offered
a room to sleep in, towels, toiletries and food whilst we stayed by my dad's bedside until he passed away. There is nothing that they can improve, they have got everything spot on. Not only is the place like a 5-star hotel, but the staff are also out of this world.
If anyone is reading this review do not hesitate to book your loved ones here, you will not find anywhere better.

I cannot thank the team at Mornington Court enough. From the start of the process, the team were so friendly and supportive and welcoming, it is just the most beautiful care home with fantastic carers and support team who couldn’t do enough. Especially with all of the challenges in the middle of a pandemic,
it was just so reassuring knowing my dad was in the best place to support and care for him for a few weeks to get him back on track and also for myself and my family too, to have that reassurance he was in a wonderful place with people who cared. I wasn't stepping into a care home when I visited, instead, it was like a five star boutique hotel. To that point, my dad listed off a few of his favourite foods at the preliminary assessment, and sure enough, they were on his plate at meal times. Just like a hotel, in fact better! Most importantly, my dad felt very comfortable and happy there and said he couldn’t fault the team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Starting her management career in Bournemouth, Gemma's career has also seen her manage homes in Bournemouth and Barton-on-Sea. Gemma joined Sunnybank House, part of the Cinnamon Care Collection, in 2012 where she and her team opened the home. Since then Gemma successfully commissioned Abbotswood Court care home, Cinnamon's luxury home in Romsey, which was awarded an overall 'Good' by The CQC in October 2017 with an 'Outstanding' awarded for the 'Responsive' Category.


Gemma's experience spans three decades in the Care sector and she holds senior management qualifications in both Health and Social Care and a Leadership and Management award.

Michelle Cuthbert

Job Title: Deputy Manager

WHAT I DO: I am excited to support the General Manager and the rest of the Mornington Court team in my role as Deputy Manager.


I am passionate about ensuring that our team are providing the best care for our residents and enriching our residents’ lives. I love to see our residents thriving in the environment.


I enjoy mentoring the team and seeing them grow in confidence and their roles.


MY EXPERIENCE: I have a background in retail management for many years. I took a chance in 2016 and changed my career to work in the care sector and never looked back- I wish I had done it sooner. I joined Mornington Court in 2021. I have held different roles: Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader, Care Co-Ordinator and now with a promotion to Deputy Manager. I hold my level 5 diploma in leadership for health and social care.


ABOUT ME: I grew up in New Milton, living aboard for 5 years when I got married and my husband was in the British Army. Outside of work, I enjoy walks at the beach or in the forest with my Siberian Husky. I found a real passion for gardening during the pandemic, and love to get gardening advice from our residents.

What I do: My role puts me as the first point of contact when a family and prospective resident contact the home enquiring about the services and support we deliver supporting family & residents during what can be a difficult time, for a lot of people they have never had to think about care home for their loved ones or themselves, and it can feel quite overwhelming, I find it so important to really find out what it is they want and what they need, so I can help guide them the best I can, and sometimes just to sit and listen.

I have previously worked many years in events and Entertainment, working with people has always been a passion of mine, Joining Cinnamon almost 2 years ago has been a wonderful experience, helping and guiding families through every aspect, and finally getting to see how settled and happy they are after moving to Mornington Court, is extremely rewarding.
