Mornington Court is a purpose built luxury care home by Cinnamon Care Collection, who has been recognised as a Top 20 Most Recommended Care Home Group (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021) by carehome.co.uk, and is ideally situated on the edge of the charming market town of New Milton.

This beautiful care home provides 53 en-suite bedrooms plus 2 one-bedroom care suites which include an en-suite bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. The care suites are ideal for couples or individuals who would prefer additional space and greater independence. The majority of ground floor rooms have access to a patio whilst on the first and second floors there are large balconies off the communal areas. The home provides residential and respite care along with a dedicated community for those living with dementia.

Mornington Court has an experienced management team who are supported by the central Cinnamon support team who provide regular training and ongoing personal development to all team members. The home uses the latest electronic care plans, with carers able to update records instantly via the Person Centred Software handsets.

Hobbies and interests are catered for by the dedicated activities team whilst there is plenty of opportunity for social interaction in the café-bar, relaxing in one of the beautiful lounges, enjoying a good film in the cinema or being pampered in the hair and beauty salon. I needed respite care following an operation. My treatment far exceeded my expectations. The staff could not do enough to help, and I would unreservedly recommend this care home for anyone needing respite or permanent help.

Very impressed with the tranquil atmosphere and the dedication and kindness of all the staff -

My mother moved into Mornington Court in June 2021. Her's was a lovely room on the ground floor with direct access to the lovely gardens. From the moment that Mum saw the place, she knew that this was where she wanted to be. Her room and the service she received were to the standard of a 5-star hotel.
The catering was to an amazing standard and, as someone who loved her food, she was hugely impressed; not only by the menu itself but at how they were happy to cater to any particular preferences she expressed. The activities were varied and well-organised and we never had any concerns about Mum being lonely or lacking in care. The care staff were excellent, particularly when Mum sadly became very ill and passed away at the home in August. I can't praise the whole team enough.

My parents had a week of respite care at the newly built Mornington Court. We were all very impressed with the facilities, the level of care, and the attention to detail. My parents found the food of an extremely high standard. The duty of care provided by the staff was outstanding, in that they were
concerned about various arrangements my mother had independently made ie arranging taxis, as my parents were somewhat confused about times etc. Indeed, after they had returned home, the Court contacted me with regard to a delivery of medications, out of concern that my parents would to have enough the following week. Very impressive.

Mornington Court is a lovely care home. The facilities, communal areas and rooms are excellent and the gardens are a lovely place to sit on a sunny day. She's been shown nothing but kindness since she arrived, and I can't fault the care the home has provided or the people who work there who I've never
known to be anything but cheerful, kind and very helpful. After a difficult few months this year, it's reassuring to know my mum is being so well looked after and I'd happily recommend it to others.

My mother came to live at Mornington Court in August. She was greeted by a very caring team who had prepared her a lovely meal. After the somewhat traumatic time she had had prior to her arrival this couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming for her. Mum has a lovely en-suite room leading straight
out onto the very peaceful garden and indeed all the facilities are of the highest quality and standard. The lounge area is a key hub to the home and I am delighted that very often when I ring Mum she is rarely in her room. She is in the lounge enjoying the company of other residents more often than not! One of the key worries we had as a family when Mum was living on her own was loneliness - Mornington Court has addressed that for us as there is a varied activity program that residents can join in with. What we now have as a family is peace of mind - the level of care at Mornington Court is of the highest standard and we know Mum is in very safe hands. That means everything!

I cannot fault Mornington Court. The staff are without fail kind, helpful, warm and caring towards my mother. The management team are proactive and responsive. The environment is welcoming and finished to a high standard. All of Mum's needs are met in a respectful way. The activities programme is varied
and interesting. The food and menu choices are excellent.

Mornington Court is a very luxurious care home. It is newly built so is not yet full of residents. My aunt was one of the first to move in. She settled in very well and the care has been tailored to her needs and interests. I am also her attorney and the staff have kept me well informed. This home
wants to be an active part of the community and I am sure once Covid is put in its place, this will be a great asset.

Our whole family has been treated with such kindness by the staff of Mornington Court. My parents-in-law moved into the home in May, warmly welcomed by the staff, and have been well cared for with their individual wishes catered for as far as possible. Although only there for a short time before his
death in August, my father-in-law’s increasing needs were met, and communication with the family was excellent. This level of care has continued for my mother-in-law. I would whole-heartedly recommend Mornington Court to families looking for care for their loved ones.

My parents had the honour of being the first people through the door when Mornington Court opened and, from that day until this, the care provided has been exceptional.
It is never easy picking facilities like this that will match to your own very personal needs but I would say they are going the
extra mile for us.
The rooms are spacious, extremely well presented with good quality furnishings.
The public rooms, cinema, and dining area are also lovely as well as very inviting.
A nice walk in the gardens with plenty of places to sit is always fun, especially on a sunny day.
Keep up the good work Mornington Court.

I can't rate the staff and the facilities highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is always done promptly with a smile. I attended the fantastic Halloween event which included the creepy creatures experience, my mum even touched the snake, something she's always been terrified of!
Friday night drinks and canapés is a lovely idea and truly makes life feel normal and differentiate the week from the weekend. On a more practical note, there seems to be an excellent relationship between the home and the local GP practice ensuring efficient health care. Well done to everyone at the home for introducing a wonderful facility to New Milton.

My mother (95) recently attended Mornington Court in New Milton for one week for a respite break. Leading up to admission, it was very clear that the staff were taking my mother's care very seriously and they contacted me frequently to make sure that they knew everything about mum, before her admission.
It was clear that they wanted to make her stay as comfortable as possible. Mum had a fabulous time and comments frequently about how the staff "popped in" to tell her what was going on, or just to have a chat. The food was marvellous and they even catered for her "warm fresh orange juice" which is her preferred drink. She loves to chat and there was plenty of opportunity for that and for her to join in with the activities. Mum doesn't like to be away from home, but she is now looking forward to another respite break in November. She was looked after very, very well and I have no hesitation in recommending Mornington Court for your family and friends.

Mornington Court has helped me recover from an extended period in hospital. The staff, facilities and food were all top class. I enjoyed the activities and the highly trained staff who were always on hand to help. The food was adjusted to suit my taste and was of a high standard. If I ever need this
type of help again I would use Mornington Court.

We needed to find a suitable service provider for my brother who was being discharged from hospital at short notice. Many of the providers we contacted were less than helpful but the admissions manager at Mornington Court could not have been more helpful. He arranged a visit to suit out timings (we
do not live local to Mornington Court). We were immediately impressed by the facilities available and the professionalism of the staff. Completion of the necessary paperwork was easy and completed online. On the day of arrival, my brother was collected from the hospital and transported to Mornington Court with the minimum of fuss. On arrival he was made very welcome and he was immediately impressed with his room.
He stayed for four weeks receiving respite care and on departure he had made a remarkable recovery toward being fitter and healthier.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff, if we need such a service again, we would only consider Mornington Court.

Gemma Ridout-Bowden

Joined: 2012

Starting her management career in Bournemouth, Gemma's career has also seen her manage homes in Bournemouth and Barton-on-Sea. Gemma joined Sunnybank House, part of the Cinnamon Care Collection, in 2012 where she and her team opened the home. Since then Gemma successfully commissioned Abbotswood Court care home, Cinnamon's luxury home in Romsey, which was awarded an overall 'Good' by The CQC in October 2017 with an 'Outstanding' awarded for the 'Responsive' Category.

Gemma's experience spans three decades in the Care sector and she holds senior management qualifications in both Health and Social Care and a Leadership and Management award.

ABOUT ME: I grew up in New Milton, living aboard for 5 years when I got married and my husband was in the British Army.
