The home, which was refurbished in 2020, sits next to accessible woodland and provides residents with beautiful views of Whity Grove Park. In addition to high-quality living spaces, Dovehaven Grove features a library room and a hairdressing salon.

Other facilities include a 'Zen Room' where people can relax in a calming space, a garden room for people unable to take part in outdoor planting as well as themed seating areas to support freedom of movement.

There are 60 bedrooms, some of which have en-suite bathrooms. The home has full accessibility for people who need adapted entrances and exits. The garden is wheelchair accessible and has been designed in consideration of residents' needs.

My gran received excellent care from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, tea, biccies and cake all provided with a smile and a few words to pass the day. She also had her hair done on-site regularly which she really enjoyed. When the time came for her to pass away, we were not there but I am forever
grateful that she had several attentive caring people around her that made sure she was loved til the end. Many, many thanks.

My dad was placed in Dovehaven Grove after a long period in the hospital to assess his needs on a discharge to assess placement. From the moment he arrived, we received exceptional treatment and a high level of care. We as a family were welcomed warmly and kept fully informed of how he was. We were
able to visit anytime and cannot speak highly enough of the staff and care he received.

Very happy with the care my mother-in-law receives. She has settled in well. The activities that are provided are well led and organised by the management. All staff are approachable and management are easily contacted. The Queen's Jubilee party was fabulous and the entertainment was excellent. Two
members of staff need a special mention for their approachability and professionalism to their jobs. Looking forward to the new 'dove hub' too.

I cannot praise the management and staff at Dovehaven Grove highly enough. My wife entered their care in May of 2022 and has really settled very quickly. She is happy and content and loves to join in the activities at the home. The staff are all so friendly and approachable and it seems nothing is too
much trouble. The manager and her team are keen to engage with residents' relatives and listen to their comments. Cannot thank them enough for the peace of mind I have knowing my wife is safe and cared for.

My mother went into Dovehaven Grove on the 16th of May unable to walk at all after a fall and very weak. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Today she met me by walking down the hallway unaided! I never thought I would see her walk again. Thank you so much to the whole dedicated

Under quite stressful circumstances my mother was transferred to the care of this home 2 days before Christmas. Since then the team have taken over her care and worked tirelessly to make sure that she settled. My mother was resistant to change, but due to the determination of the care team and with
the support of the senior carers and managers, she is certainly starting to feel more comfortable and settled.

My mother has been a resident for some time, throughout she has been treated very well and cared for lovingly. January has been a month of lockdown due to Covid, throughout we have had contact via the telephone which has worked exceptionally well. The staff have been excellent and supportive throughout.
A well-run environment that I can't fault.

My mum has been in for a month assessment. The place is first-class, very clean, the food looks good. The staff are extremely friendly and always helpful. There are plenty of activities going on and there is a high proportion of staff to residents.

This is a very good care environment for my brother despite being a fairly old building. All staff were extremely friendly and attended to any concerns/queries both me and my sister had when we visited my brother (resident) in October. His room was clean and welcoming and in a quiet though easily accessible
location. The home had given a fundraising coffee morning earlier that day so the communal rooms were in the process of being cleaned. Residents have opportunities to do external activities if this enhances health and well-being - like visits to local leisure facilities.
Every confidence that my brother is being well looked after! There was/is an issue with contacting the home via telephone which needs improvement though I understand the telephone service/equipment is being improved.

Our home was only opened as a Dovehaven home in 2020, having been closed and totally refurbished. However, the wonderful character of the building has not been lost and we have retained many original features of the home, which gives it a real charm, but more importantly makes it feel like 'just like home'. It is a popular place to be, there is always something going on and we have identified that the phone system needs to be addressed to meet that need. This is in hand now, we are pleased to say. The team work so hard to ensure that residents are safe, happy and healthy and to have this recognised by friends and family members will give them a real sense of a 'job well done'. Kind regards

Firstly can I say a massive thank you, my grandad was recently moved here at our request after a terrible stint in hospital. The manager helped from the moment we walked through the door before even moving Grandad in. As a family, we made the decision to bring him closer to home after he was dumped
from hospital into a care home away from his family. We contacted the home when I was refused entry at a pre-arranged visit at the other care home. Within one hour of contact, Dovehaven Grove Care Home contacted his care home and arranged transition that day to themselves. Supported us in providing a wheelchair to transition.
Room was ready on arrival and they welcomed my grandad and the family with open arms and positivity. My grandad was a resident here for only a few months and whenever we were unable to visit they kept in touch and updated all the time. My grandad recently passed away at this care home and from the minute his health conditions deteriorated we were contacted and as a family, we were able to spend every minute with him.
