Staffing levels is excellent. The carers show real concern for the welfare of my mother. My mother has only been at Fenchurch House Care Home for 3 weeks but we can already see the care is much better than her previous home.

Can not do enough for you, always friendly and making sure my dad is alright. Often make a cup of tea for me and my dad. It looks and feels more like a hotel than a care home. Always clean and tidy.

Dad was a resident of Fenchurch House Care Home for about 18 months. He enjoyed living at Fenchurch House, participating in all the social activities and events. Life was social and dad made many good friends. Fenchurch House was always clean and well-maintained and a delight to visit. The staff from
the top down were caring, kind and respectful of all their residents. They took time to listen to any of dad's and our concerns. The food was good quality and it was nice to be able to have a meal with dad. The cakes were particularly delicious. The overall atmosphere was positive and vibrant, the staff were happy to chat and were thoughtful in the way they cared. As dad became unwell and his life drew to a close, the excellent care he received from those who gave him personal and health care was professional, and yet kind and tender. Getting the right care for your loved one is so important and we were very happy with the care that dad experienced at Fenchurch House. We cannot thank them enough.

Today we said goodbye to our dear mum, who was a resident at Fenchurch. Her time there was overwhelmingly one of caring, dignity, and understanding, and I cannot fault them.
It was fitting to hold Mum's wake at Fenchurch today, and yet again, the staff went above and beyond to meet all our requirements,
a very special shout out to the chef, who made lots of mum's favourite food.
Thank you, Fenchurch; you are more than carers for residents - you become family!

After the five weeks of respite at Fenchurch, mum-in-law is home and sleeping in her own bed again and busy looking after herself. I would say Fenchurch is most definitely a luxury care home; it has a home cinema and a bar!


What makes it different and special though, is the way it is run. The Manager

and her team have a real passion for caring for people and show respect, understanding and kindness to residents and their visitors, which makes for a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. Spalding is very lucky to have Fenchurch. Mum-in-law will return when she needs to and will probably pop in for a coffee before then I should think!

Mum was lucky enough to spend 5 weeks of respite care recently at Fenchurch. We appreciated how they came to visit mum, whilst she was still at home and got to know her. This way, she knew the Manager and the Customer Relations Manager, when she arrived. More importantly, they knew her, how she lived
and what she liked. Not only does Fenchurch look like a luxury hotel, but the service mum received really was five-star.


Her room was comfortable and cleaned immaculately by the most wonderful cleaners. She enjoyed having her feet done and the constant care and attention the gorgeous carers gave her. They were always smiling and friendly and making her feel special, just what she needed. Nothing was too much trouble, she only had to ask. She chose to eat in her room or in the Gatsby Café Bar and really enjoyed having friends to visit and not having to make the coffee and cake! When it was her birthday, the staff made it such a special day for her. We are very grateful, thanks.

My father has been in Fenchurch House Care Home for about six months. He seems happy and content. He takes part in some of the activities and enjoys the company of other residents. The staff are all friendly and very efficient.

My parents have been residents in the home since it was newly opened and have always been well cared for. Most recently, my mother became end-of-life, and rather than her being moved to the hospital, Fenchurch agreed to continue her care alongside Dad. My sister and I spent eight days sitting at Mum's
bedside, and during this time, we were witness to the excellent care and kindness of all of the staff at Fenchurch. The manager and deputy manager went to great lengths to ensure my mum had the best of care. My dad was supported, and all visiting family were supported and looked after. Every staff member supported us fully on Mum's last journey. Thank you all for being amazing.

The home takes great care of my mum who has complex needs. She is unable to speak and the patience of the staff here and the friendliness makes a real difference in a positive way.


A question: It would be better if the home had frequent Pet Therapy dog visits. My mum loves dogs and to see and stroke

a dog was a real help.

My wife was transferred from hospital to Fenchurch House on 23rd December 2021 for some respite care after a prolonged 9 week stay in hospital due to waiting for a care home place to become available. When she arrived she looked gaunt and her appearance was distressing to me not having seen her for
some 7 weeks due to not being allowed to visit her in the hospital because of Covid-19 restrictions.


Over the course of the next two months, the care and attention provided to my wife by the staff was excellent. The staff had got her back to looking something like her old self. She certainly appeared to be more than happy and making friends with the other residents. Sadly she had to be readmitted to hospital on 26th February 2022 and passed away, unexpectedly, on 28th February.


My sincere thanks to all the staff at Fenchurch House for their excellent work and the kindness extended to my wife during her stay. I would recommend Fenchurch House to anyone seeking a care home for a loved one.

My mum was a respite resident in September 2021. She was well looked after and always looked clean and smart (which made her happy). Her hair was washed and styled every week (she loved her hair being styled)
Unfortunately, Mum became ill at home in November 2021 and was admitted to hospital. She
was transferred to Fenchurch House Care Home for the end of her life. The staff were so caring to Mum and also to my husband and I.
The environment was beautiful and the morale of staff came over as excellent in very difficult times of Covid. Thank you all.

My mother used to live 200 miles away from me and my wife. Having decided that she needed to move into care, we searched the local area for a suitable home where she could be comfortable. Fenchurch House Care Home is a modern purpose-built home. Mum is settling in well enjoying the activities and making
new friends. She is particularly complimentary about the standard of the food and the helpfulness of the staff. It has taken a load off our minds knowing that she is safe and well looked after.

Mum was at a different care home and was moved as her mobility decreased. In both homes, she has had excellent care even though occasionally she can be difficult. Now she has a ground floor room and is definitely less stressed and happier.

Covid testing for visitors - pre-testing prior to a visit is not acceptable. A person could call in a shop, etc. prior to the visit and pick up the virus. After each test was logged, two people testing in the car park and not showing correct results at Reception can forward the virus.
Specific resident
test days should halt relatives and visitors for 24 hours until results are proved negative.
Don't trust people for DIY testing. Check!
