My Mum lived at Sedgley Court for just over 2 years and during that time we were impressed with the kindness of care shown to her. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Her room was very comfortable, the meals looked delicious & there were plenty of activities. I would not
hesitate to recommend Sedgley Court.

A couple of weeks ago I paid my second visit to Sedgley Court, my uncle and aunt. They have been in the home for reveal months now. I was very impressed with the home and it is beautifully furnished, both the lounge areas and the bedrooms. The staff are excellent, friendly and attentive and my aunt
and uncle are so happy and well cared for.

My neighbour/friend was in Sedgley Court for a fortnight whilst his carer was on holiday. The manager was lovely and made the short stay a pleasant one for him, as did all of the staff working there.

Overall, I enjoyed my two-week respite care stay. Everyone you see is friendly and helpful and I was made to feel very welcome. I did get very warm on a couple of nights (it was very warm outside) and so a fan would have been useful. There was a great activities program but many things didn't go ahead
because of a lack of interest. This is why I have rated it as satisfactory. The meals were excellent. Thank you very much for looking after me so well.

I have selected this month but this review relates to the last six months. Sedgley Court is a modern bright and comfortable care home. We have heard nothing but praise for the managers, staff and facilities and from what we have seen on our visits we couldn't agree more, it's a lovely place to live.
My sister and brother-in-law enjoyed their last days at Sedgley Court and we were so grateful for the way the staff looked after them and helped them through their difficult times and would like to say a heartfelt thank you.

My father has been at Sedgley Court for just over a year and he is pleased and proud to call it home. He thoroughly enjoys the activities provided and is always complimentary about the food. The staff will always go the extra mile to meet his needs whether that is organising his 90th birthday party,
accompanying him to the hospital or welcoming his friends who visit regularly. They provide care and support that is second to none and as I do not live locally this is very reassuring. I would recommend Sedgley Court to anyone looking for a residential home.

My brother-in-law first went to Sedgley Court for respite after a hospital stay but liked it so much and is now a permanent resident.
All the staff are so caring, kind and no job is too much trouble for them.
His health is so much better and that is purely down to the care he is receiving.
The premises
are very impressive, just like a 5* hotel.
The activities are enjoyed by both residents and family, and we have been to quite a few already.

Mum has been a resident at Sedgley Court for a couple of years now. She moved there as she has dementia and could not care for herself. We were apprehensive ( and guilty) about moving her into care even though there was no viable alternative. Honestly, it's the best thing we could have done, and, in
my opinion, the best place that she could be in. Knowing that she's in the best place she can be and knowing she will be treated with kindness and respect and her needs met is amazing reassurance.

My mother has been a resident since February this year. Since then, she has really settled in and feels safe and at home. She enjoys the company of the staff and other residents and increasingly takes part in the activities, which she was reluctant to do at first.

Dad came to Sedgley Court last November. He took a little time to settle in as he suffers from dementia but now seems content and seems to get on well with the staff. I looked around at a lot of care homes before choosing this one and have been pleased with the care and support he has received.

My mother has Demetria, and she has slowly deteriorated, making it hard for her to stop at home.
We are so grateful for the staff who look after her; they make us feel welcome, and my mom says she likes it there and is happy. Couldn't fault a single thing - highly recommend.

Mum has been a resident at Sedgley Court since December 2022. The staff, management and carers have always been very welcoming and know you by name. My mum is happy there, she feels safe, and the staff are very reassuring. She likes the food and is always offered a choice of meal. When she was taken
ill, the staff were calm and dealt with the situation well. They have a good range of activities on, although doesn't always take advantage of it.

On Tuesday the 12th of December I came to visit for the first time in Sedgley Court a very dear friend. I was very impressed with everything the home has to offer. She seemed very happy and settled with her surroundings. Together with another friend who came with me (who was also extremely impressed).
We were offered coffee and biscuits whilst our friend went on a little walkabout. A member of staff kindly sat with us and chatted as she realised how upset we were at the deterioration of our friend.

My dad has been at the care home for over a month now due to his dementia. I recently went to the care home and I can honestly say that this care home is truly outstanding! The level of care and the warmth of the staff is second to none. A special mention to all of the team for looking after my dad
so well. All the staff are friendly, approachable and most importantly experienced.
The rooms are newly decorated, comfortable and well laid out. Dad enjoys the company of the other residents and all the residents help each other out which is so lovely to see. As a loved one who is far away, it gives me tremendous comfort knowing that Dad is well cared for by such loving people.
I highly recommend this care home.

From day one of my mom arriving at Sedgley Court, I knew it was the right place for her to be. I guess like many people, Mom took time to settle having just given up her own home and moving from rural Worcestershire. The staff team, whom I can truly say I class as friends, were brilliant from day one.
They always keep us as a family informed of anything to do with Mom's care and wellbeing and have continually gone above and beyond in their care and attention to Mom's needs and desires. Everything is covered, transport provided for medical appointments, “nudges” to remind me of upcoming doctors visits or hospital trips, and some wonderful social events that Mom can get involved in. She so enjoyed the recent bingo night (though she’d tell you that she doesn’t like bingo!) which raised a fantastic amount for a very worthwhile charity. After a year at Sedgley Court, Mom is so settled there and I have nothing but praise for the home manager, front of house manager and the whole of the team.
