Sutton Park Grange is a luxury care home by Cinnamon Care Collection, who has been recognised as a Top 20 Most Recommended Care Home Group (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021) by carehome.co.uk, and is ideally situated along the Birmingham Road close to Sutton Coldfield town centre.

This beautiful new care home provides 56 spacious en-suite bedrooms including a community dedicated to the care of people living with dementia. For couples, or for those who would prefer additional space, there are 4 one-bedroom suites which include an en-suite bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. All ground floor rooms and suites have direct access to their own patio area and landscaped gardens, with the first and second floors boasting a number of large balconies off the communal areas. The home has been cleverly designed to make a number of smaller communities each with their own lounge and dining rooms.

Cinnamon Care Collection pride themselves on training and personal development and the Sutton Park Grange team benefit from an experienced management and training team. The home uses the latest electronic care plans with carers able to update records instantly via the Person Centred Software handsets.

The Sutton Park chefs prepare a sumptuous and varied menu and with the home boasting a private dining room, it's the perfect place for family celebrations. Mum has dementia - thankfully not too far advanced, but a series of accidents at home and the realisation on our part that she needs greater care than could be managed at home prompted us to look at Sutton Park Grange, which had been recommended by a friend. The pre-admission process was well handled
- as was the assessment of Mum's condition and needs. She took up residence in Jan '23 and was made to feel very welcome. She had a serious health issue a few days later, and the speedy intervention of the care team identified the issue and got her to the hospital - had she been at home, it might not have been a positive outcome. Since then, she has been well cared for; she is safe, the staff are friendly; the food is good; there are things to do and people to talk to. We can go and see her, and she can come out with us whenever we want. Our day-to-day concerns for her welfare are all under control.

Dad and I have been treated with nothing but kindness since he moved into Sutton Park Grange in April following a spell in hospital. The whole team are welcoming, supportive and easy to communicate with - as well as being across every detail of Dad's needs and being very helpful during the moving-in
process. I have been endlessly impressed at the range of activities on offer and the quality of accommodation and food. Despite taking some time to settle in due to his condition, he seems happy, is eating well and is starting to enjoy his new surroundings.

My mother moved into Sutton Park Grange following the death of my father. She was very depressed and didn't want to eat or speak to anybody. I cannot believe the change in her! With the help of the wonderful staff and amazing chefs, she is now eating and socialising with other residents and carers.
She hasn't taken part in any activities yet. There is a good range of activities, and I'm sure with the help of the wonderful staff, she'll soon be joining in.

Going into Sutton Park Grange for two weeks was my 94-year-old mother's first experience of respite, and she was very apprehensive beforehand. However, when we arrived, the staff were very welcoming to both Mom and ourselves. Mom's first impressions were very positive. While we were settling Mom into
her room, which was beautifully appointed, complete with en-suite, several staff from various departments came and introduced themselves and welcomed Mom.
We rang after a couple of days and were reassured Mom had settled well and chatted with other residents.
When Mom came home, she could not wait to tell everyone how lovely the place was, how kind the staff were, and most importantly to her, how lovely the food was, with lots of choices.
We were really pleased with all aspects of care given to Mom, and Mom said she would be very happy to go back again in the future. We could not have asked for a better outcome.

Overall, good experience. Stay was for six weeks of respite care, then Dad returned home. The staff were attentive and caring, Dad was reasonably happy but became somewhat bored. This is mainly associated with his person, but more relevant activities would have been a benefit. The exception is Dad will
return again on a respite basis.

Mum found moving into a care home challenging, but from the start, staff have done their best to make the transition as easy as possible. She tells me the staff are all very kind and the food is good with wine with her meals if she wants it. I have observed both to be true. Mum has been at Sutton Park
since it opened. Although Mum would prefer her laundry to be done by me, I have always found it is done much more quickly than I would have done it and is beautifully ironed. The environment is clean and pleasant. A very wide range of activities are provided all day every day, and I can see from the Facebook photos Mum participates and enjoys them. As family members, we are always made to feel welcome, as is our dog, who Mum loves to see. Of special note is the intergenerational activity with preschool children, which I attend with my granddaughter. She loves the songs and games, and my mum enjoys proudly pointing out her daughter and great-granddaughter to other residents.

I enjoyed my stay very much at Sutton Park Grange. The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and kind. My bedroom was very comfortable and overlooked the garden. I loved the visit from the ponies, which came into my bedroom and the fact that my little dog could come and visit me while
I was there. Only one criticism, my leg covering, which needs to be changed weekly, was overlooked (even though there were several reminders).

My only reservations are times of personal bathing and some of the laundry care. Particularly when residents have beautiful knitwear. I know you have other residents, some very poorly, but if people like a set routine, I feel it could be arranged. I am happy to explain to someone personally.

My mum stayed at Sutton Park Grange for two weeks; we needed to go away and looked at homes around the Sutton area. Sutton Park Grange was way out ahead in terms of comfort, care and facilities. Karen Handley came to our house to see and assess my mum, taking time to discuss what my mum's likes and
dislikes were and to get a feeling of how my mum lived. Unfortunately, she has advanced dementia so is unable to speak herself. I thought it was great how much time was taken to see my mum at home. We also went to the home, and I was very impressed with the tour around the home. The room my mum was in was fantastic! It was more like a five-star hotel room than a care home. The food is lovely, different menus daily, coffee and cake bar to boot! The home has a cinema room, gardens to relax in, daily activities etc. The staff are all fantastic; they do a brilliant job. Thank you for taking the time to look after my mum - she came home in better shape than when she went in!

The reason for my visits was for post-operative care before returning home alone. There was everything I could have wished for. Luxury facilities and service with compassionate care from the staff, who gave me the confidence to continue my recovery.

Sutton Park Grange is a lovely care home. My partner was very happy there. He loved the food, and the ambience and thought the staff were extremely kind and caring. His bedroom was relaxing and clean. He would be happy to stay at the residential home again, and we are hoping he will be able to early
next year.
Only one disappointment, he fell the day before he was due to leave the home and hurt his head. I was unable to drive, after an operation, so couldn’t take him to the hospital. Apparently, there was no one available at the home to take him, so a friend of ours drove him there and stayed with him until he was discharged. Otherwise, care and support would have been rated excellent.

I really was made to feel welcome right from the start to the end.
Staff very friendly, helpful and professional.
The standards are beyond better than expected; they are outstanding.
I felt that my service user was in a safe place on respite and would get the quality of care they need.

If I wasn't already in a job that I adore and enjoy, I would like to have worked there.

I have to say, from the moment I went to view this care home for my mother, I knew it was the ideal place for her to be. Yes, it is expensive, but when you want the best for an elderly relative, this is the perfect place. The facilities are second to none, the building interior is so welcoming, colourful
and bright. I remember smiling when I first walked in and being greeted by very friendly staff. The caring staff themselves are a wonderful bunch of people; they have looked after our mother in a friendly, professional, dignified and caring manner, and my mother has become very friendly with quite a few of them.
Being a new care home, and a new building in its own right, there are a few issues, plumbing in the bathroom and the second set of main entrance doors, which can be too accessible for my liking, especially when you have a resident with questionable logic.
On the whole, it is a lovely home to visit a relative, and for a relative to stay long term - 5-stars from me.

I am a mother of one son and have a grandson, my family is very important to me. I recently got married & we have bought a renovation project in Stafford. In my spare time, I read fictional books and enjoy cross stitch. We also own a motorhome so enjoy exploring.

This can be an emotionally difficult time for the families, and I take my time to understand what their needs are, find out about their relative, the life they have lived and provide them with the relevant details on all aspects of the care we offer. I will then organise the assessment, paperwork & move in, before handing over to our amazing care team who help the residents settle into their new lives here at Sutton Park Grange.

My role as activities coordinator is to organise meaningful activities for the residents which are tailored to dementia where appropriate.
I used to run a surf and yoga retreat in Sri Lanka before moving back to the UK and where I worked in a nursing home as a care assistant and activities coordinator for three years before coming to join the team at Sutton Park Grange.
Out of work I enjoy walking in Sutton Park and practicing Yoga.
I also plays the Handpan and like playing this to the residents too!

My Job Role is to Cook the food for Our Residents and their families if they wish to join us for a meal in our Celebration Room. I plan the menus to meet the resident’s nutritional needs and to suit their likes and dislikes. I order all the food daily. Everything is freshly prepared by myself and my team.

Job Title: Head Housekeeper

I joined Sutton Park Grange in April 2021. It was their goals and values that made me feel that I wanted to be a part of this team.
I manage all aspects of the housekeeping and laundry which includes maintaining the cleanliness of the home to the highest standards and ensure clothes for residents are cleaned, ironed, and returned in a timely manner. I am also responsible to keep my team up to date will all training especially the COSHH standards.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

My overall role is to maintain the home. I carry our routine checks daily, weekly and monthly. I liaise and organise contractors and visits into the home as well as general repairs around the home like decorating and plumbing. I support with most residents move in’s with ensuring the rooms are ready but also helping them make their room their new home with little touches like putting their pictures on the walls.

As a home administrator, I lead the Admin team and deal with the Finance, HR and Administration functions for the home. It is a varied busy role but also highly enjoyable. As the first point of contact for the home, we are here to help in any way we can.


I have a wide range of experience in both the public and private sectors. However, for the last seven years, I have spent in care. Working at the head office of a company that owned homes for adults with learning difficulties and mental health issues and then moved on to be an Administrator in a care home.
