Welcome to Beachcroft House Care Home

Based in the heart of Maida Vale at the back of the BBC studios, Beachcroft House is a new purpose-built home fitted with all new fixtures and opened in September 2020. Located only a short distance between Maida Vale tube station and Warwick Avenue station, Beachcroft House is accessible by multiple modes of transport. This 84 bed home offers across 5 floors, each with a dedicated activity room and lounge for residents’ use. Beachcroft House was constructed with residents in mind, ensuring that their comfort, safety, and wellbeing was at the forefront of every decision.

My aunt has been so well looked after since being in Beachcroft Care Home, the staff are very hardworking and as myself and wife and family visit very frequently we can see how well my aunt has been looked after, the communication from the care home to ourselves is first class and frequently speak to
care home manager regarding my aunt.

The staff are polite, kind and caring. The home is spotless smells fresh and welcoming. The manager goes above and beyond, very dedicated to the residents well being. I am so happy my mother is living in this safe caring setting she looks well and enjoys the food.

Since my mum has been a resident, I have seen great improvement in her overall health and well-being. The staff take very good care of her and show her dignity and respect. The staff also allow my mum to feel she has a level of independence and choice in her care which is vitally important for people

My elderly mother was moved to Beachcroft during the pandemic from another care home. At the same time, I moved away from London but had the opportunity of visiting the home on their open day. I was able to see her room and facilities and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely and clean everything was.
I had weekly WhatsApp calls with my mother and the staff were always good at letting me know about her health and well-being. Reviews and meetings were done over zoom calls and on the phone. My mum was included in outings and trips to the local park. They celebrated her birthdays with a party and she joined in with entertainments that were going on in the home. She appeared happy and content and made special bonds with several staff members. Unfortunately mum passed away recently and I was able to stay at the care home during her end of life. The staff were extremely supportive and attentive to me, as well as my mum during this difficult time.

Good facilities. Staffing is a challenge it seems with what appears to be a high number of agency staff. That said, the permanent staff are very good. I am not really aware of what activities take place, probably because I visit at weekends due to work commitments.

When my husband first went to Beechcroft I had been caring for him for 15 plus years and found it very hard to let go, l was going in up to three times a week to check on him and I think the staff thought I didn't trust them. I am sorry for that but it wasn't intentional I was just guilt ridden that
this man whom I have been married to for nearly 50 years and had promised in Church to stand by him in sickness and health was now in a care home. Over the last couple of months after attending a couple of events one being the Queen's Jubilee I have started to let go and it feels so much better. When I go now just once a week he is always happy, clean and tidy and the staff are wonderful everyone knows him and greet him with a smile and a little joke. This week was his birthday when we went to visit him the staff had decorated the dining room for him it looked wonderful. Going forward I hope to have a great relationship with all at Beachcroft.

I am consistently amazed by the patience and resilience of Beachcroft House Care Home staff having to cope with some challenging residents, my relative particularly, and occasional bouts of Covid. I've noticed that the staff have recognised my relative's particular quirks and responds kindly to them.

My dad, who suffers from dementia, has been a resident of Beachcroft since it opened and was at another place previously. He is very challenging to look after due to his intermittent behaviour issues and good mobility, however, the staff have done an excellent job. They show great patience and care
for him. On visiting the home, all the staff I have met are very friendly, and I can tell my dad is happy being there. The home keeps me well informed of everything, including all their activities. The facilities are first class, the rooms are spacious, and there is a lovely garden too. I have no reservations in recommending this care home; your relative will be well looked after.

When it was agreed that my mother needed 24/7 care we were exceptionally lucky to find a place at Beachcroft House Care Home. Despite all the restrictions during the COVID pandemic, the staff have made every effort to meet her needs and care for her. The staff are brilliant. Everyone, including the
reception and other support staff, are kind and considerate. Even at the most stressful of times, they are always smiling and helpful. I feel like they care as much for me as they do for her. The recent Platinum Jubilee party was wonderful. Every effort was made to ensure the residents had plenty of fun. There was a super feast crowned by a delicious cake, my mother says the food is always good too.

My cousin has been a resident of Beachcroft and previously at another home since 2016. During these years he was happy, comfortable, clean and presentable. I couldn’t have wished for a better care home for him. All the staff were so good with him and although I couldn’t visit that often, I always found
them to be polite, helpful and ready with a cup of tea!

I have had to move my mum out of Beachcroft House due to her having three falls in nine weeks. The first on the day she arrived there and the last, ending in a broken hip. I feel she wasn’t cared for and the receptionist really needs some lessons in people skills as she is the rudest person I have ever
met.

My mother was moved to Beachcroft from another care home during lockdown so I was unable to assist with the move. I was apprehensive about my first visit to the new home and how my mother was doing. I was very pleasantly surprised at the standard of the facility and the level of cleanliness and privacy.
The staff have been very kind and attentive to my mother's needs. Although I feel guilty of not providing the care myself, I live abroad, I am very confident that my mum is being well cared for by professional staff and this gives me great comfort. Thanks to all the staff.

I have been very happy with my wife's care, it took a little while to settle when she moved happened from another home last September 2020 but now there's a definite routine and more of a family atmosphere and the facilities are fantastic. Also, this year will be the first the lovely garden can be
used properly as it was a little late in the year September 2020 when she first moved.
The organized events within the care home are very well done, birthdays etc and making things like Easter baskets, cards, colouring and drawing. They have regular exercise sessions normally to music from the lounge TV which everyone enjoys.
It's been a very difficult year with the Coronavirus restrictions but hopefully that will soon be coming to an end and things will get back to normal and more indoor visiting allowed and spending more time with loved ones.
I am very happy with my wife's care, and she looks well and happy. I'm very grateful to everyone who looks after her.

My mother moved to Beachcroft House Care Home from another care home. She has settled in very well and is happy in her surroundings. The staff show every care and attention to her needs and I am confident that she is safe, secure and well cared for. On my recent visits to see my mother, all the staff
that I have met are very friendly, courteous and obliging, my mother appears very happy in their company. I would have no reservation in recommending this care home to others.
