Onsite parking available for both residents and visitors. Additionally, there is street parking available - so finding a space shouldn't be a problem!

We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the residence and care we provided to your parents for the last two years. We are confident that we were meeting their needs and that they were happy in the Lodge. Providing care for elderly residents, living with dementia, is a collaborative process among the residents’ loved ones and the provider. It was clear that the collaborative relationship was broken in this case and, try as we did, we were not able to fix that to your satisfaction. As a consequence of that breakdown, and with your parents’ best interests as the paramount consideration, we terminated their residence at the Lodge to allow you to find accommodation that you do find to be satisfactory. We are pleased to note that you seem to have achieved that and we wish your parents well for the future.

Many thanks for taking the time to publish your review of Lakelands Lodge and rating your overall experience as 5 star. I am sorry to hear you feel the Lodge is understaffed, to ensure we operate with the correct staff to resident ratio we use a nationally recognised dependency tool which calculates the staff ratio based on the residents' care needs over the 24 hour period in addition to this we have hospitality staff on each day to support our residents at mealtimes and with fluids and snacks. I hope this answers your concern raised in regard to staffing.

I’ve worked in the care industry for almost 23 years, firstly in domiciliary care and then in care homes in an administrative & financial role.
I am now a Lodge Service Advisor at Lakelands Lodge and assist families and their loved ones through their care search; offering a point of contact should they wish to find out more about anything to do with the care we offer or the lodge itself.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, gardening and spending time with my family and friends.
