Our experience of Heathlands House has been overwhelmingly positive. I am so thankful my Mum is in a safe, beautiful place and treated with dignity and respect.
She has said several times "Is this what heaven is like, because it is so quiet and peaceful.".

My mum is in very good hands at Heathlands House in Cambridge. The staff are dedicated and extremely professional. Completely safe environment and a very clean and comfortable residence. Everyone is made to feel welcome.

From the first phone call I made to Heathlands House, I was super impressed. All the questions I had were answered confidently and without hesitation.
When I visited with my sisters, Heathlands was our 4th care home visit that day, we knew we wanted Dad to live there.
All the staff are professional,
warm and friendly. They supported us enormously in getting Dad discharged from hospital to their care.
All the residents seemed comfortable in their surroundings (which incidentally are immaculate) and known by name by all staff. The staff on the dementia floor were obviously very experienced in managing dementia symptoms with patience and empathy.
Sadly Dad had only a short stay at Heathlands House but the support from the staff to our family continued after he had passed. For all of us, Dad and daughters, it was like being with an extended, loving family.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Heathlands House.

Found it emotionally stressful to move my mum into a care facility as did my 4 siblings. Best thing I ever did. Amazing place full of cheerful staff. So friendly - lovely atmosphere.
My mum is settled and happy. Lots of activities to keep her busy and in company with others.
Communication excellent.
Facilities brilliant.
I could not think of anything I would change and it is everything I could wish for my much loved mum. Heartwarming and a huge relief for me and my family. Many thanks.

My 97-year-old father moved into Heathlands House in January following a spell in hospital. Since then, I have visited him in his lovely room on the nursing floor most days and I now feel like one of the family! The care team are lovely and go above and beyond. The nurse on duty always listens to and
acts on our concerns and we are reassured that he is getting excellent, compassionate care. It is a real advantage that a local GP visits once a week. The senior team at Heathlands all seem to work together really well and I have been impressed by their willingness to make time for unscheduled meetings to discuss my father’s health and care needs. I went in today with something I wanted to talk about and the Customer Relations Manager made herself available instantly and immediately put my mind at rest. In the last few years, we have visited a few care homes with my father, knowing that he might one day need one. When we walked into Heathlands, we knew we had found the one!

My aunt has been a resident at Heathlands House for around 5 months now, she was fiercely independent but developed dementia so needed 24/7 support. She was initially very resistant to living in a care home, but has settled in very well with the attentive care and excellent facilities here. Heathlands
is very well organised and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for the care team, who are very capable and well-trained. There seems to be a good staff-to-resident ratio, who are responsive and sensitive to my aunt's needs. Heathland's communication with me is excellent, keeping me informed of my aunt's health and well-being on a regular basis. They provide a variety of activities, although my aunt is partially sighted, and often feels she can't participate, the carers encourage and support her with these activities. All our family and friends who visit have been very impressed with the warm welcome, care and facilities at Heathlands.

Superbly presented, sparkling clean, warm and comforting care home with all the up-to-date facilities. Helpful, welcoming, caring and cheerful staff.

The accommodation and estate are immaculate.
All staff I have met are friendly, welcoming, helpful, polite and above all caring.
A lovely care environment.
Mum's room is excellent. The room has everything that she needs.
The team don’t mind when you visit. We have visited Mum early, in the daytime
and late. We always receive a friendly welcome.

Mum initially moved to Heathlands for respite care and has now signed up as a longer-term resident. The physical facilities, food and activities are all very good - however it's the staff who make Heathlands exceptional, and a place I would choose for myself. All the staff are friendly and caring. They
work very hard to give my mother the best possible quality of life. Both regular staff and management are welcoming and helpful when friends and family visit, and communicate well regarding matters of care and wellbeing. The staff are keen to build relationships with family as well as with their residents and this makes me feel that I am included in Mum's care and life, and gives me as much reassurance as it's possible to have given I can't be with her every day.

My father was one of the first residents of Heathlands, during the pandemic, and my brother has just spent the last three months on respite care. Just as before, we found the staff to be wonderfully caring and supportive, with many thoughtful activities and outings on offer. The building is relatively
new and it is a very attractive facility with lots of good places to sit with friends and family, or just to read the paper, although the trees could use a bit more care!
I heartily recommend Heathlands.

My mums been here for over a year now, and the staff are amazing, not only do they give full love and care to my mum, but they are so lovely and helpful to all family members.
Over the past week, everyone at Heathlands House has gone above and beyond to get my mum through a very difficult week.

mum couldn’t be in a better place, and when I have to leave, I fully trust she’s in the best hands.
Continuous care with love.
Everything is lovely and clean and very homely.
The food is lovely.

First impressions, the grounds outside are neat and tidy, the garden is cared for, the building is modern and well laid out, security is safe, reception is always present, and the team are friendly, appears efficient and helpful.
My father was in another home for a few weeks and we just didn't like
it and was old and tired and uncared for. So glad we found Heathlands House for him.

A well deserved five star rating. The home is well equipped and well maintained, staff are competent, caring and a cohesive team. Both our parents have dementia, moving to Heathlands recently. My father is blind with mobility issues and is treated with dignity and respect when helped with self-care
tasks he can no longer do. He is happier than he has been for a long time.


My mother who experiences a lot of confusion is helped by a team who are dedicated and enthusiastic in their knowledge of how to help people with dementia who feel scared and isolated by their experiences. Already she has been calmed and when very confused is able to calm down and self-help with some gentle phrases of reassurance that the care team have repeated to her. When she has a good day there are homely gatherings where she can join in a range of activities in a normal and recognisable way, which also reassures her. Social services and mental health team also feedback to us this is a very good care home.

When we moved my aunt to Cambridge, we were expecting her to move into an extra care flat, as that was her wish (she is fiercely independent) and what she could afford. To ease the transition, we brought her to Heathlands on a respite care basis, while she was assessed by a social worker. She settled
in quickly and it was a huge relief to see my aunt happy, stimulated, relaxed, clean, warm, eating well and receiving her medication regularly.
Staff have always done their utmost to accommodate my aunt's wishes, care for her, entertain and humour her and protect her dignity (ageing is cruel). Without exception, the management, care, admin, domestic and lifestyle staff have been kind, personable and respectful towards my aunt and also to us whenever we have visited.
The care assessment eventually concluded that my aunt's physical and mental condition was such that she needed residential care. All credit to the staff at Heathlands, by that point my aunt actively wanted to stay there.

My father was a resident at Heathlands House Care Home for six months. I was very happy with the care he received and didn't see or overhear anything I wasn't happy with whenever I visited. He was warmly welcomed and helped settle in and his move to the nursing floor was managed very well. The staff
were very professional, warm and respectful to my father and to the whole family, particularly in the weeks before he passed away.

I have worked for Care UK previously and began working at Heathlands House in 2022.


I’ve seen the high standard of care for residents and great teams. Everyone is very committed to ensuring that every resident is happy and cared for.


My favourite part of the day is the mornings, when I walk around the home, checking everything is ok, and chatting with residents, relatives and my colleagues.


I am very passionate about delivering person-centred care, I love seeing a smile on the resident’s faces when you have made a difference in their day. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
