Mum moved to Victoria Court in Jan 2024. At that time medical staff had indicated that she didn't have long left, however nearly 15 months later and mum is still with us, which is mainly due to the care from staff in Victoria Court. They are very friendly, caring and professional- they all go out of
their way to make the residents feel loved and cared for. This is all staff, nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners etc. Mum is constantly monitored and I am kept up to date on her wellbeing, or if there are any issues in the home. The facilities may be a little tired in places, but the most important thing is the care and that is excellent and gives me peace of mind that mum is safe, secure and surrounded by people who love and care for her in the final stages of her life.

My partner has been a resident at Victoria Court since early September 2024. She is very happy and content in the home and has adopted to her new surroundings, residents and staff extremely well. She was a very keen gardener and the fact her room overlooks the garden is an extra bonus. However in general
Victoria Courts some TLC as the deco is tired and required updating. I'm pleased to say that over the last few weeks there has been a start made on this important issue. My partner (mainly) enjoys the food and refreshments provided. She really enjoys the fellowship and company of other residents. The care, support and encouragement given to her, her family and visitors is very professional but yet provided in a friendly manner. You always receive a warm welcome from the staff and nothing is too much trouble to them. There's a various activities organised for the resident this includes a variety of individuals and groups who visit Victoria Court to entertain the residents.

My father moved from hospital to nursing care in Victoria Court. He spent 7 months in their devoted care. From the first day to his last the care he received at every level was second to none. It was always a pleasure to visit as all staff made us feel part of a large extended family. Nothing was ever
too much trouble.
We will be forever grateful for the support and care afforded by Victoria Court Nursing Home.

The staff take care of the residents so well and the level of communication they provide is great and much appreciated. The food looks fantastic and the new lounges for the residents are very classy too. I couldn’t rate this home any higher.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.199)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.199) out of 10 for Victoria Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.600 for Victoria Court is calculated as follows: ( (23 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 35 Ratings = 4.6

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.599 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Victoria Court is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 43 registered maximum number of service users is 8.6. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.6 = 0.349

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
