Visiting hours designed to be as flexible as possible, hours between 10am and 10pm, 7 days a week (and if need be, more flexible than that).
Also, love to welcome pets and children, but ask to be supervised at all times. Residents can spend time with visitors in their room or any of the lounge areas or garden.
All visitors will be asked to sign electronically via reception iPad on arrival and out on leaving. This enables to comply with Fire Regulations.
Potters Grange has its own free parking area for residents and visitors.

The staff have been so wonderful, kind and attentive. They have really encouraged him to get involved with the activities within the home. He really loves the music sessions.
Dad had really lost his appetite and since his move to Potters Grange his eating has really improved due to the fantastic menus and care taken to find out what he enjoys and what his home comfort meals are.
In Potters Grange, we feel we have found the perfect fit and home for our Dad. It’s so much smaller and more personalised than the other homes we looked at in Potters Bar. We as a family take great comfort in knowing Dad is happy and so well looked after in such a lovely, well run home.

No request was denied, no matter how small. The staff went over and beyond to ensure my mother’s complete comfort and care, night and day. We felt completely reassured that
We were constantly kept informed of the care home’s liaisons with the doctor and palliative team assigned to my mother and we were always consulted with great sympathy about her ongoing care which was very comforting. We noticed that the other residents were also treated with dignity, compassion, respect and humour.
Everyone, including the manager, housekeepers, receptionist, nurses/careers, and even the chefs showed great concern and warmth to ourselves and my mother. A truly wonderful caring place. We shall miss everyone greatly!

Hello, my name is Evan and I am the General Manager of Potters Grange. I am a registered adult nurse and have been working in the Health and Social Care Industry for the last 11 years.
I began my career in nursing in the Philippines as an Adult General Nurse before moving to the UK.
I have a wealth of knowledge and experience gained in different health and social care sectors including; Nursing and Residential Homes, Mental Health services, Research Centre and Hospital wards (A&E, Rehab unit, and haemodialysis).
I have always built a close and strong working relationship with residents, always thinking of them as an extension of my own family. I believe kindness and warmth should always be the centre of the care that we provide.
People may forget the things that you have said and done, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
I enjoy supporting people and supporting my team, to ensure that the service we provide is to the highest standard

As Head Housekeeper for Potters Grange, I lead a team that prides its self on its high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
I have worked in housekeeping for around six and half years and enjoy it very much, as I love to be around people.

At a young age I have always had a keen interest in cooking and used to bake every weekend with my father, so from an early age I knew that I wanted to be a Chef.
At 15 I enrolled in culinary school and completed my NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery and ABC Level 2 in Patisserie. A year later I started my career in hospitality as a Pastry Chef, working in a 2 AA Rosette Restaurant Here I would help with developing new and unique recipes to feature on the menu, as well as prepare desserts for weddings and other events for up to 400 covers.
At the age of 18 I moved into care as a Deputy Chef Manager, here I learned quickly and made my way up to Head Chef in under a year. I developed menus for the Home and for the Day Centre, incorporating the dietary requirements of all residents and customers, into daily meals. This meant working a lot with the IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) scale for modified foods and thickened liquids, as well as fortifying foods for those needing to increase or maintain their weight.
“For me it’s really important to learn the likes and dislikes of my residents and incorporating this into the IDDSI framework, to not only make sure our food tastes nice, but to also look appetising!”
As a Chef, I always want to learn new things, so I decided to take the plunge back into hospitality as a Sous Chef, so I could widen my experience. I stayed for 2 years gaining more experience, when I saw the advert for a Head Chef at Potters Grange, a role I instinctively know was perfect for me.
Here at Potters Grange, I am blessed with a state-of-the-art brand new and well-equipped kitchen. As a team at Potters Grange, we really focus on a person-centred approach.
