Fosse Way View is a state of the art, luxury care home located in the Nottinghamshire market town of Bingham, delivering personalised care packages for elderly people who would benefit from supportive residential care. Beautifully designed into 4 independent communities, Fosse Way View benefits from additional hotel services and facilities on the ground floor so that members from each community can meet up to socialise, enjoy leisure and wellbeing sessions, watch a movie or be pampered with a new hairdo or beauty treatment.

All bedrooms are uncommonly large, beautifully decorated and furnished to the highest standard, every bedroom has its own fully en-suite bathroom with a full wet-room facility; for Residents who prefer a bath, there are a number of beautifully appointed spa bathrooms where they can luxuriate in a bath full of bubbles with the aromas of essential oils creating a relaxing experience. On the ground floor, there is a small number of patio bedrooms, ideal for the avid gardener, sun worshipper or those who like to keep an eye on what’s going on!

Always find the staff very helpful when needed, even when they are busy (which is always).
Mum is hard to please regarding the food and eats very little but is happy and on a soft food diet, which was recommended by staff, and varied. They all try their hardest to encourage her to try everything given
to her, even if she has chosen incorrectly off the menu.

I have recommended the home to friend and they have visited and seen for themselves. I have one old friend who has no family and is greatly relieved that the home exists when he needs help in the future.

I regularly visit my elderly neighbour who has been in Fosse Way View Care Home since March. Always get a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. Wide variety of activities for the residents to take part in if they wish to. Always clean and tidy. Would highly recommend and would be happy to use
the facilities for my own family if and when required.

My mum came for respite for 2 weeks in September while I was away on holiday. She settled in really well and made friends with the residents.
The carers were all amazing and really attentive to all residents.
Management are brilliant, helpful, and really supportive as it is hard to leave a loved
one in a care home.
My mum joined in activities that were put on by the staff.
After 2 weeks I went to collect my mum and she wanted to stay and she stayed for another 2 weeks.
She wants to go back and visit her friends so I will take her for lunch in a few weeks.
I think it is lovely that you can go for lunch sometimes and go along to events that happen at the home as it gives the potential resident a chance to adapt before they go into the home.
This is a lovely, well organised, and friendly care home and would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved ones.

I enjoy living at Fosse Way View Care Home because my room is comfortable and well-equipped for my needs with en-suite facilities. The staff are very caring and look after all my needs. There are a range of activities. The food is good on the whole, with choices for each meal.

Mum has used the home for 2 - 3 months. The most important aspect of care is a relationship with staff. They have all given my mother the respect and dignity which she hoped for and attended to her when called to do so. Excellent respect for aspects of personal care to how she likes her cup of tea.
She feels really at home and has settled in well. Good to be able to bring in own items eg. a reclining chair. Ideally, it would be nice to have a storage room allowing eg. boxes to store winter/summer clothes etc that can be changed over.

The whole experience from first enquiry to my husband staying for a week’s respite was excellent. It was the first time we had done this so quite traumatic. But everyone made things very bearable. The standard of care shown to my husband was friendly and professional at all times. They really tried
hard to make him feel at home and comfortable. We will definitely use Fosse Way View Care Home again and can recommend it to others without hesitation.

Carers are really helpful - some are better than others. The room is fine and the shower facilities are really good. I feel safe here and if I ring my buzzer someone comes straight away. I enjoyed the pancake afternoon.

Our overall experience of my father's care at Fosseway View has been very good during the last month. He has needed two trips to hospital - first for a fall and then for a chest infection. Both happened at night and I was only contracted by the night staff once the paramedics had arrived - early notification
would have been better. The care and attention he is receiving have been excellent.

After a few months in the hospital, I entered Fosse Way View Care Home three months ago. The accommodation is very good, clean and well decorated. The staff are excellent, from cleaners, care staff and office staff, willing to assist in all areas. The food is first-class, with a choice of all meals
offered. All the food is served with your health considered.

The staff at Fosse Way View create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A sustained core of carers have always been there since my mum arrived in August 2021. Some of these have cared for and got to know my mum very well and I always see Mum being treated with kindness, patience, affection and a sense of
humour.
The manager is very caring and approachable and it is easy to pop in and speak to her. Her deputy is also very supportive.
The staff have always celebrated residents Birthdays with the other residents and they go out of their way to mark other special/national occasions. The new buildings have been very thoughtfully appointed both inside and out. The party for Fosse Way View's first Birthday was so well organised by staff and made full use of the lovely garden.
I do hope that Fosse Way View succeeds in recruiting a long-term activities officer as it's very important to the well-being of the residents - especially those suffering from dementia. Meanwhile, I appreciate that other staff have been creating an activities timetable in recent times which is much appreciated.

I can highly recommend this care home. The staff are very caring. My experience is that they are very caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. After leaving my home I was very worried that I wouldn't settle in this care home but I've been made very welcome and the care I'm getting is excellent.

I booked in for one week's respite care. My room was opposite the dining room and very noisy throughout the day and night. I had to get up two nights to ask the staff to close the dining room door. The one thing I and my friends and family found unbearable was the constant loud noise of bleeping buzzers.

We have discussed with the team about the importance of keeping the noise levels to a minimum during the night. Mum had a three week respite stay. The warm and friendly atmosphere at Fosse Way View is evident from the moment you arrive. The staff are caring and professional. There is clearly good leadership from the management and a very positive team ethos. Everyone welcomed mum with a smile, nothing seemed
to be too much trouble and everyone was keen to make sure that mum felt happy and comfortable from the outset. They were all very mindful of her personal needs and preferences, and there was no pressure for her to mingle or join in if she preferred not to. The accommodation is first class. The home is beautifully appointed throughout with spacious en-suite rooms. I understand that the catering is of a high standard - Mum described the meals as absolutely delicious. We felt confident that mum would be well looked after - and she was. Although not quite ready to make a permanent move, she is looking forward to staying again for another respite break.

Fosse Way View Care Home is an exceptional care facility. After looking at several in the area we were very happy to let my mother-in-law stay here, initially for respite. All the staff are friendly with genuine care in their hearts. The rooms are exceptional, modern, clean and well maintained. The
care is so outstanding that after three weeks back in her own home my mother-in-law decided to move in permanently - must be good!

Introducing Liz Wood
Residence Manager


“For me, kind care is putting yourself in someone’s place and
treating them as you would wish to be treated.”


Having originally started as a Kitchen Assistant, Liz has gained more than 30 years of experience in providing care and support for elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a committed leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


After being with HC-One for a number of years, most recently managing Beauvale Care Home just down the road, Liz shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her extensive knowledge to motivate her team to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and church groups and is always keen to include the local community in life at Fosse Way View.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Liz remarked:


“It means everything to me to see our Residents happy and well cared for.”


Outside of work, Liz enjoys travelling abroad, eating out and dog walks.
