Royal Windsor is a 5 star warm, welcoming and inviting residence providing all the luxury and comforts of home. You can be sure that the very highest standards of health care is always on hand, often discreetly in the background. Care needs are pre-assessed in advance to ascertain individuals health care needs and abilities so that each person’s care is individually tailored.

Residents can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and take part in all the daily lifestyle activity choices available, to ensure all will get the very most out of every day. At night, residents are able to retire to the warmth and comfort of the beautiful bedroom suites; secure that the trained and experienced care team will have discreetly planned for night care needs to be attended, in the complete privacy of their own room.

Royal Windsor is located in the former grounds of the Magistrate’s Court in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The home is close to local transport links and just half a mile from Grantham High Street with 68 spacious bedrooms all with en suite wet rooms.

Royal Windsor has two floors of accommodation.

Newton Suite
Situated on the ground floor, Newton Suite has been designed for individuals wishing to make a lifestyle choice. Providing a variety of rooms to maintain as much independence for as long as possible, while offering an opportunity for people to live safely and independently enjoying like-minded company, secure in the knowledge that there is 24 hour care and support on hand if needed.

Belvoir Suite
This floor has well equipped facilities to accommodate all residents as well as people with high levels of health and personal care needs. The memory impairment facility provides accommodation that has been tastefully and sympathetically designed to offer a safe, secure and stimulating environment for people who may have varying degrees of memory impairment.

My mum stayed for a 5 week period with a view to staying permanently. The home is very well presented in terms of layout and interior design. However, in regards to the standard of care, this is poor.
The culture within any business is set by the manager and in this case, the manager is not ‘care-focused'
but ‘business-focused'.
The home is run understaffed and there are no meaningful activities organised for the residents.
The pre-assessment for my mother that was undertaken by the manager was completely inadequate and did not assess any of her needs. There was no tailored care plan put in place for her, something that is surely essential.
I would advise that you look beyond the fancy interior design and interrogate what is happening here in terms of real care which in my opinion, is substandard.
There are far better options that address both the standard of interior and the actual care, for people looking for premium well thought out care for their loved ones in the Grantham area.

We are really sorry and saddened when we are unable to meet the needs of the resident and in this case, resulted in alternative accommodation needing to be sourced.
The Royal Windsor is a family run business, placing our residents in the centre of everything we do. The assessment process prior to moving in is thorough, providing us with full details of the potential resident needs and enabling the home to write a robust care plan. We do however require full disclosure of all relevant health information, this is to ensure that we can need their individual needs, this can be overlooked from time to time. We operate on a full complement of qualified and professional staff which includes a supernumerary deputy manager who monitors the delivering of high-quality person-centred care. The team also includes an activity coordinator, residents are encouraged to participate in an assortment of interesting and interactive pass times.

Urgent respite admission was needed in absence of a transition bed. From the first enquiry to the creation of a care plan and daily care, I have been very impressed, relieved and delighted with the improvement in my father - mentally and physically.

My mother moved into The Royal Windsor, in Grantham Lincs, on Sunday 5th December 2021. My mother has had Alzheimer's since June 2014, and had been in assisted living, but needed more care. My brother and myself had a look around and were greeted by Robyn, who was very helpful, and we were able to pick
mum’s room, which was the same number flat she was living in.
From mum moving in, in December to February 14th, mum is eating more often, and is always encouraged to join in, and has many tales to tell, and is loved by everyone.
All the staff are so kind and caring, and it shows in how mum is looking now.
