The staff/carers' experience and competency is quite varied. There are some very good staff in the building but also some who seem under-trained or in some cases ill-suited for the role. Frustratingly if I ask a carer for something that isn't immediate I am told that they will report back or find the
right member of staff but almost without exception, nothing happens and I have to chase. The most recent example - I asked six times over the course of 3 days for my power chair to be charged, which I'm no longer permitted to do myself.

Dad has lived here for approximately 9 months and I have nothing but good things to say about Avery Park Care Home. All the carers and management are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Dad's behaviour can be challenging at times but they manage it remarkably well and always listen to his needs. I
recommend Avery for anybody's loved ones.

Mum moved to Avery Park Care Home in October 2024. She has been very happy here. The staff are all very caring and friendly. The place is always very clean and tidy and all the staff work very hard. The food is excellent and Mum is enjoying the activities. We have peace of mind that Mum is safe, secure

My mum has been at Avery Park Care Home for two and a half years. The hospital made the care decision for us, as Mum was no longer safe at home. She had liked the look of Avery Park from the outside from when it opened, so it was the first place I checked out. It was the perfect choice for us. From
the moment I stepped through the door I was impressed. The staff, care and facilities are great. The whole family are welcomed and it is the happiest and most content Mum has been for years!

I am a very close friend to a resident of Avery Care Home Kettering. He is like a dad to me and has been in Avery Care Home for eighteen months now. When he first moved in, he wasn't very well at all after a fall and being in hospital for three months and now, with all the excellent care and attention
he is doing really well at the age of nearly 91, even walking again. I visit weekly and take his wife in to see him and always made very welcome. The friendly and caring staff are amazing with him and he always says he's enjoyed his meals. l would like to say he has settled in very well and feels at home in excellent surroundings and well-equipped bedroom. The decision to move him into Avery had the full support of his wife and friends.

Mum is very settled at Avery Park and the care she receives is excellent. The managers and staff really know her well and tailor what they provide to meet her needs. The menu is varied with plenty of choice for all meals. The rooms are kept immaculately as is the whole home. The activity programme caters
for a wide range of needs and provides a mix of in-house sessions, trips out and sessions run by outside providers. The entertainers, PAT dog visits, art sessions, and exercise classes all add variety for the residents. It is a pleasure to visit and chat with Mum and other residents. A very well-led and managed care home.

It was Mum's decision to become a permanent resident after staying for 2 weeks respite in the summer. She knew she could no longer manage at home even with support. Everyone at Avery Park has been so friendly and helpful and Mum has made new friends. I feel a lot happier knowing that there is always
someone on hand when she needs help.

Mum is in the dementia suite and at first took quite a while to settle, but she has been joining in with the craft, entertainment and baking and pictures on social media showed that she was truly enjoying herself. As a result, she is much more settled now which is lovely to see when we visit. The staff
are very dedicated and everyone does a really good job. I'm really pleased we chose Avery.

Our family has been impressed with the level of care and attention given to Mum since arriving at the home. Accommodation is welcoming and to a high standard, the atmosphere relaxing and homely. The staff work incredibly hard to ensure that Mum is well cared for and her needs are taken into account.
Their care, kindness and patience are a real credit to them, for which we are so grateful. Family members are warmly welcomed and made to feel part of the home's community. We are so glad we found this home and feel assured that Mum will have the support to live comfortably and safely.

We have been extremely pleased with all aspects of Avery Park Care Home. Any minor problems we have had been dealt with and sorted swiftly. Since my Granddad moved into Avery in April '24 he has become better than when he lived at home. It is always lovely to visit him at Avery Park and the staff are always lovely. There are also a variety of activities to do which my Granddad enjoys when he attends them.

Following a hospital stay, Mum needed extra care, so the family decided on respite. This was so beneficial to Mum, we decided to continue her residency on a permanent basis.
The management staff were very helpful with all aspects of the transition for Mum, and the care/nursing staff have been lovely.

My Name Is Leander and I am lucky enough to hold the position of Home Manager at Avery Park. I have been working at Avery Park since November 2021 and am a self-confessed ‘work-acholic’. I pride myself on doing my very best to ensure the safety and happiness of all residents, staff and visitors. Working with the elderly is both rewarding and humbling and I am proud to be part of such an amazing team that all have such great values and ambitions.

I joined Avery Park in August 2022 as a Senior carer. I was soon promoted to Trainer for the entire home, providing a large portfolio of courses to all the care, housekeeping, kitchen, sales and administration staff.

The training at Avery Park is extensive so I delivered many courses including Health and Safety Awareness, Infection Prevention and Control and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, to name just a few.

I am NVQ level 3 qualified in adult and social care, I am fully trained in Basic life support and manual handling. I have an I.T. diploma and a business level 2 and I have worked in the care industry for 7 years mainly in senior management roles.

My role as Deputy Manager at Park is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home. It is my duty to ensure that each staff member follows current policies and procedures while maintaining person-centred care throughout the home.

Hi, my name is Alex and I am the Head Chef here at Avery Park. I started with the company in 2011 and have enjoyed every moment of it. Whilst with the company, I had achieved my level 3 food safety qualification.

I am always aiming for 100% satisfaction for our residents offering them a wide variety of meal choices. The dishes we provide are well-balanced and highly nutritional. I enjoy baking and making birthday cakes for each of our residents, seeing the amazing smiles on their faces is priceless!
