When you walk into Rivendell View, the welcome is always really good. From the first time I visited, I knew my mum would be well looked after here. Mum is enjoying all the amazingly varied activities. She has been in poor health recently and I have been kept informed extremely well and all the appropriate
interventions were taken to ensure she gets the best possible care. A shout-out to her carers who are excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better place for Mum.

A beautiful luxurious home, built to the very latest high standards for comfortable living in care. The bedrooms are large, well appointed and welcoming with luxury en-suite fully appointed wet rooms.
All the staff are cheerful and professional. The food is excellent with plenty of choice at every
meal with snacks available 'on tap' any time. Entertainment and activities is varied and inclusive to all residents. Some 5 star hotels could take a lesson in facilities and staff from Rivendell View's offering. Plentiful parking us available and the garden grounds are starting to get well established so residents and guests can enjoy some sunshine and fresh air whilst still in a protected environment. Coffee/cake shop area, cinema room, hairdressers, chiropody, in-house eye tests, daily papers and even wine or beer available for the evening meal included in the fees! Medical care and laundry is done, a totally different experience to care homes of 20 years ago or some of the lower-end offerings still around. If Rivendell does not meet your needs, I don't know what would.

From the very first point of contact with Rivendell Care Home I was impressed. From front of house through to care staff, everyone is friendly, professional and supportive. My dad has grown in confidence in the few weeks he has been there. I would not have any hesitation in recommending this home.

Very happy with the care and support my mother received during a recent respite stay following a stroke. The stay has enabled her to get mobile again in a safe environment and regain her appetite for food. She made a number of friends during her stay and really valued her time there. I would not hesitate
to recommend Rivendell View as a care home and if the need arose would be more than happy for my mother to return there.

My father-in-law was transferred from hospital to Rivendell View recently. I cannot speak more highly of the care home and the care of the staff. The accommodation is beautifully presented, comfortable, light and appealing. The care staff are kind, professional and conscientious. The residents were

Rivendell View care home is very friendly and the staff are all very caring and take pride in their work. There are plenty of activities on offer for the residents to get involved in if they so wish. The home itself is purpose-built with all modern facilities including ensuite wet rooms, a hairdressing
salon, a cinema and plenty of places to sit and have a quiet visit.

On approach, the gardens look very well kept and the car park clear of litter. On entering the building, visitors are under cover while a staff member answers the door. All visitors sign in and out, and staff are welcoming, friendly and caring. My friend is very happy at Rivendell View; there are lots
of activities for residents to keep busy if they wish. There are adequate staff, so residents are well looked after. Rivendell is a very homely place and should it be necessary, I would be happy and have no hesitation to live there myself.

My mum has been living at Rivendell View since June 2022 after being ill and discharged from the hospital. We viewed a number of homes and were most impressed by Rivendell - and we have not been disappointed in any way. The atmosphere is very welcoming, helped by the open door policy, all staff are
very kind and considerate and definitely person focussed in their approach to the care they provide. There is a wide range of activities every day which keeps Mum interested and entertained. The laundry service is fantastic, everything is kept immaculate and the food is wonderful. The whole environment is lovely. Staff keep me informed at every step - I can't thank them enough. It has renewed my faith that moving into residential care can be a positive experience!

My mum went into Rivendell care home for 4 weeks respite but sadly passed away during this time. My mum was made very welcome into her new surroundings and she would often make the staff laugh as they got to know her quirky ways. I would like to thank all the staff for providing care and support as

My mum came to Rivendell initially for two weeks' respite but liked it so much she decided to stay. The care home is beautiful and so well looked after but what makes this place so special is the people who cared for Mum they were truly wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble anything to make mum comfortable
and cared for both day and night. Sadly, Mum became very ill and died and during this difficult time, the care not only shown to Mum but to me and my family was absolutely flawless. The staff went beyond the call of duty in every way possible I won't ever be able to thank you enough for what you have done for Mum and for us and we will be forever grateful. I would also like to thank the clinical and district nurse team for their wonderful care too. Thank you.

Highly recommended. Looked after my mum in the last year of her life in sometimes challenging circumstances but the care and wider support was first class with staff often willing to go the extra mile. The food is good and plentiful, as are the activities. Everything is brand new and clean and more
like a high end hotel than a residential care home. Five stars all round.

Mum went to Rivendell View as she was discharged from hospital before she could manage her personal care. She stayed for two weeks. Care was excellent, carers built up her confidence regarding personal needs which enabled her transition to move home to be smooth. She came home happy and buoyant. She
put on weight and she and the family can't say "thank you" enough.

My mum has been living at Rivendell since December 2021. She was able to settle very quickly because of the caring staff. All staff are enthusiastic, warm and kind. My mum receives individual care based on her needs. There are lovely things to do every day, the activity coordinators are brilliant. The
food is excellent and plentiful. Facilities are of a fantastic standard kept immaculately. Communication is effective, I am informed immediately of anything important and I am able to speak to someone as often as I want to to check on how my mum is doing. Thinking of reserving a room for myself!

Mum was originally in for respite with a view to long term, which has since been made long term. During this time, Mum's health has deteriorated significantly. To date, I cannot thank the home manager and her fantastic team for the care they give to Mum, they are always professional, patient and understanding.

My mother moved to Rivendell View a couple of weeks ago, she has settled in extremely well, the friendliness of the staff and residents has made mum feel very much at home. The stimulation she receives from the activities keeps Mum active both mentally and physically, this is so important for Mum and
me. The home is bright, clean and welcoming to all relatives and visitors. I am glad I came across this lifestyle choice, thank you to the manager and the team for making Mum feel special.

We placed my aunt in Rivendell View after visiting other homes in the area. We felt it seemed to offer the best match to my aunt's needs. The building is modern and has been well thought out for the care of people with age-related issues such as mobility and dementia. Subsequent visits have shown that
our choice was a good one. My aunt is very happy with the attention, care, and food provided. Since moving into Rivendell View she has become less stressed and complaints she has lived with for many years have been attended to. The staff are friendly, helpful, and above all kind. We have seen her overall health and happiness improve with each visit. Overall, we are very happy with Rivendell View.

First impressions of Rivendell View were excellent and this impression continued throughout our assessment and my friend's two weeks of respite. The staff made sure that my friend had all she needed for her stay, which met her specific needs. She engaged in lots of meaningful activities, which for her
meant going out for walks and being around other people. The facilities are excellent, and we are looking forward to another respite stay after Christmas. Thank you to all the staff.

My father required emergency respite care. The family do not live locally so making arrangements quickly was a real worry. The team at Rivendell View were fantastic and immediately put the wheels into motion. From the initial visit at short notice to the acceptance process, the team were very empathetic
and professional. My father settled in quickly, putting weight on and appearing so much more relaxed. He is very complimentary about the care he is receiving and facilities put many luxury hotels to shame.

My friend has been at the home now for a few weeks. I feel that the home and staff are excellent. The environment is amazing and the staff really look after the needs of everyone in the home. From what I can see when I visit the level of interaction is evident. Highly recommended.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Lisa has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.


Having worked at Rivendell View for many years, Lisa closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Lisa remarked:


“I have always been drawn to caring for others in particular the care of the elderly. I have worked in the care sector since leaving school in 1990. I feel a great sense of pride whilst supporting others and being able to meet the residents' needs, both physically and emotionally.”


Lisa has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being bringing up two strong and independent children.


Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys social gatherings and also days out together walking and picnicking. Lisa also enjoys crafting and crochet.
