Florence Court stepped in at no notice to take my mother in law for 2 weeks respite care following a fall and treat at our local hospital. Thorough proffesional, exceedingly friendly and totally caring from first contact and throughout her stay. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and absolutely
nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed her stay well beyond reasonable expectation and is looking forward to future stays at this 5-star care home. Many, many heartflet thanks.

My nan's been a resident at Barchester Florence Court Care Home for two years. The care, respect, dignity and compassion that every member of staff has is exceptional. My nan has experienced the highest level of care from management, care teams, maintenance team, housekeeping, kitchens, admin, activity
coordinators and reception staff. All have such warmth and understanding. Time has been taken to identify the care needs of my nan but also time taken to acknowledge and embrace the beautiful person that my nan was prior to her illness.
The compassion and kindness that my family has been given also is exceptional. Without the combined effort of all those employed at Florence, a difficult and heartbreaking situation would be simply unbearable but it is the staff who have enabled us to embrace and saviour crucial moments together, preserving my nan.
When the time comes, we'll reflect back on this experience and smile knowing that my beautiful nan got the exemplary care that she truly deserved.

My mother initially stayed in Barchester Florence Court Care Home on six-week respite after falling and breaking her arm. She decided to stay permanently as she enjoyed the company and various activities.
I feel relieved knowing my mother is safe and well cared for. The facilities are five-star and
the staff are friendly and professional.

It was a difficult decision to find the right setting for my mum but we found it.
On walking into Florence Court we were met with a very warm welcome from reception, cool music and a bright, clean and inviting environment.
Debbie gave us a tour and one of the stand-out aspects was the relationships.
Everyone, staff and residents included, met us with bright smiles and wanted to chat. A real home-from-home feel.
My mum's room is bright, clean and cheery and she has been able to bring all her favourite things with her, which really helped with the transition.
She is loved, safe and has embraced all that is on offer enabling her to become more independent, physically active and mentally stimulated.
I cannot express how pleased I am with Florence Court I know that my mum is loved, stimulated both physically and mentally and has lots of opportunities to fill her life. The staff are so friendly, food is good quality and we are always made to feel welcome.

The care and support my mother received at Barchester Florence Court Care Home was exemplary. The staff were responsive and attentive to her needs. Nothing was too much trouble. They were also very engaging and appeared happy in their work.
The home itself is tastefully decorated and homely. The food
was very good, it is well presented to tempt one's appetite.
All in all, my mother's experience was such that she would like to live here permanently!

My father stayed in Barchester Florence Court Care Home for a few weeks while I was on holiday and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay! I was very impressed with the level of care provided; the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The home is beautiful, with spacious, well-laid-out rooms and
communal areas. Dad really enjoyed the D-Day outing to see the Red Arrows and the entertainment at the home during his stay. Dad's health and mental state were significantly improved by his stay there and we would not hesitate to use Florence Court in future.

I had heard the Barchester Florence Court Care Home was a good care home but my experience proved it was much more than this. I believe that Florence Court is one of the best in the area.
The facility was excellent, especially the garden, and the staff were always most helpful.

Picked up my wife after two weeks respite. She appeared cheerful, talkative and on good terms with staff - not something she is usually associated with. Appears happy to go back in a few months time when I need another rest.

My mother spent almost 18 months at Florence Court. As a regular visitor, I know that she was very well looked after by caring, compassionate and lovely people throughout the home. The regular events and daily activities are well organised and the social media photos enable family and friends to see
what has been happening. Management are approachable, helpful and ensure things run smoothly. Catering is superb, housekeeping of high standard and everywhere is kept clean and tidy. The rooms have a quality bed and chair and the facilities are well maintained. The multiple lounges and dining rooms are not too big which helps give it a family atmosphere. A special care home.

My mother has stayed at Florence Court for respite stays over the past 2 years. Florence Court and its staff (all staff from managers to carers and housekeeping) have made her feel very welcome. So much so that she feels it's her home from home. Mum enjoys the varied activities and especially likes
to feel useful, however, if she needs some quiet time she is safe and sound in her room with staff popping in from time to time.
For me, Florence Court gives me the peace of mind that while I'm away, my mother is safe and happy.

The facilities at Barchester Florence Court Care Home are beautiful and on viewing with my husband, who has dementia, his opinion was "it's like a five-star hotel". I knew then that this would be perfect for his respite care whilst I was recovering from a pending surgery.
All the staff were very pleasant
and all knew my husband very quickly. The manager was amazing and knew exactly what it felt like for me, being a retired nurse, placing him into other's care. I was very pleased with the whole experience.

My 97-year-old mother made the decision to move into a care home close to my wife and me, having lived in her own home in the Midlands for over 50 years; hence it was a big wrench for her, and it was up to my wife and me to find the best home for her; being a local recently retired GP, I was privileged
to have visited many care homes. From her initial welcome at Barchester Florence Court six weeks ago, her care has been outstanding, led by the perceptive, very caring manager and her team of carers, entertainment, housekeeping and catering staff who all go out of their way to make all of the residents feel at home. The layout and decor of this modern-looking home are spectacular, from the delightful bistro behind reception to spacious, well-equipped bedrooms and comfortable lounges, along with amazing extras such as the bathing experience, cinema and rooftop bar. The lead-up to Christmas has been made extra special with the residents enjoying a choir lead carol service. We are so grateful.

It was a very difficult decision moving Mum into a care home but after visiting Barchester Florence Court Care Home we knew that it was the right choice. The management team worked so hard to get Mum placed into the home within a couple of days and welcomed her with open arms from day one. She has settled
so quickly, made lots of friends and is making full use of all the wonderful activities. The care team are amazing, Mum is treated with respect and dignity. As a family, it's such a relief to see Mum so happy and settled.

I have spent the last 10 years living with my daughter, son in law and grandsons but my health and care needs have changed so I moved into Florence Court in October. From day one I felt settled and safe. All my care needs are met by the most amazing carers. I am treated with respect and dignity. The

Mum has made amazing progress, now walking with assistance, engaging in conversation and putting on weight thanks to the kindness, care and excellent food she has received. She now has quality of life and I have peace of mind knowing that Mum has support whenever she needs it whether night or day. Most
importantly my parents are together and I was able to celebrate with them their 59th wedding anniversary and enjoy the most beautiful cake made by the catering team. The whole team are amazing and has made it possible for Mum and Dad to enjoy their twilight years together, safe, secure, loved and well looked after.

Hello, My name is Sarah and I am the General Manager at Florence Court Care Home.


I have worked in care for over 20 years, with the last 2 and a half of those being the deputy manager here in Florence Court.


I am extremely proud of the outstanding and fulfilling care that we deliver on a daily basis, enriching the lives of our residents is extremely important and being able to do it in this amazing environment is wonderful.


I was really excited to progress in my career and I have been extremely well supported by Barchester to do this. It brings me great joy to be the manager of such a beautiful home, with an extremely hard-working team. Supporting our residents in this luxury setting is a privilege.


My door is always open and I look forward to continuing to support our residents, families and staff at Florence Court. I am also excited to welcome new families and residents to our beautiful home.


My home life can get very busy with 4 dogs, a cat and 2 children, but I love every minute of it and wouldn't change it for the world.

Hi, I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. As the Activities Coordinator for the past 2 years, I have developed a real passion for Life Enrichment and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the resident's lives through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them to find out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.


I'm also currently studying to advance my knowledge and career path. I'm very grateful for the support Barchester gave me to enable this.

I have been a chef for over 35 years. I started my career in hospitality by studying at Highbury College, where I achieved my City & Guilds qualification and a catering diploma.


I left college and went straight to London to work in a high-end restaurant in Knightsbridge. From London, I worked abroad for a few years, including in France, Italy, Switzerland and the Channel Islands.


I accepted the role within Barchester's Florence Court to give myself a better work-life balance after working many years in hospitality.

Eddie, is a valued member of our community and we are thrilled to have him to represent our residents. He is always keen to get involved with helping both staff and residents in daily lives here at the home. As Resident Ambassador, Eddie serves as a voice for residents in communicating their wishes, suggestions and feedback to our staff members. He makes such a positive impact in our home.
