Lovely building and furnishings. Food looks nice, plenty of options. Staff couldn't be more friendly. My mother has been made to feel very much at home and has settled in well.

I love Priorslee House. It certainly feels like home - my home! The staff are like family to me. The cleanliness is superb and the food is excellent. I love the activities laid on and there is always a member of staff to talk with.

From the moment I first visited Priorslee House, I received a first class welcome. My dad is so comfortable, warm and cared for and safe. The home is modern, colourful, fresh and clean all the time. Dad's carers are extremely professional and genuinely very caring, special people. My dad's room is luxurious
and very homely. Dad loves the meals here, they are excellent. The garden and lounge are so lovely, clean and comfortable. Dad loves his bubble baths. Dad loves living at Priorslee House, he's very content and loves his room, staff, meals and drinks. The staff are the best and I highly recommend it to many I know.

My sister has always been an introvert. Since coming to Priorslee she is laughing and engaging with others. I’ve not seen her this happy in years. Endless compliments from her on each call and visit. I’m overwhelmed by the kindness and respect the staff show at all times. Always welcomed at the door
with a smile and from every staff member you pass. She is well looked after, safe and happy. I would recommend Priorslee House to all.

My mum moved in May 2022 at a very difficult time. However, the staff have been unfailingly caring, and kind and helped her to settle into her new surroundings. We are particularly happy with her carers who have gone above and beyond. One of her carers, in particular, shows empathy beyond her years

On arrival, you get a professional, warm welcome, where you are asked who you are here to see (secure). Clean, well-presented areas throughout the house, with a well-stocked and variable selection of drinks and snacks (freshly made cake). I've not got a bad word to say about all aspects of the Priorslee
House offering. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this establishment to anybody seeking respite or a more permanent stay.

A wonderful day celebrating my Nan's 100 birthday. Organised by the home and catering to all the extended family with care for all dietary requirements. We were all made to feel very welcome. It was a great day in lovely surroundings for all of us.

The grounds are kept immaculate, the security was impressive, and the home felt more like a hotel. Impressive entrance, all kept extremely clean and tidy. All the staff were friendly and approachable.
Food was delightful, and all dietary requirements were catered for and well-executed.

Anita Horton

Job Title: Home Manager

“For me, kind care is treating each person as an individual, ensuring everyone receives care centred around their individual needs.”


As a dedicated care professional who has worked within the sector since finishing education, Anita has gained a wealth of experience in providing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Anita closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is keen to include the local community in life at Priorslee House.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Anita remarked:
“I enjoy making a difference to the Residents’ lives each day, seeing them happy and ensuring that they are well cared for, is such a rewarding feeling.”


Outside of work, Anita enjoys spending quality time with her family, particularly her grandchildren who she spends each weekend with.
