My brother-in-law was moved from another home within the company to be closer to his family.
Marmaduke is fabulous, it is clean, the food is amazing, the staff are well-trained and very approachable and happy in their workplace. The home offers activities which adapt to all individuals living in the
home. His bedroom at Marmaduke is beautiful, he has all his own pictures in there which makes it homely, put up by the home's handyman who is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. All the service users seem really happy when we visit and the staff are all outstanding.
My brother-in-law is always treated with dignity and respect, staff always go above and beyond, from the management to the housekeeping.
Amazing care home with amazing staff, from the reception staff, and manager to ward staff. Five-star.

The service is nothing but A1 from pre-admission to the quality of transfer to the home. Each and every one of the staff within the home goes above and beyond to care for my family member to above and beyond standards. I could not wish for a better service and feel safe leaving my family member in your
care. The hygiene standards are very high standard and always feels homely. As a family, we feel very informed of everything. Couldn't wish for a better home. Every member of staff, from management to care to domestic, hats off to you.

I cannot speak highly enough of the friendly staff and management at Marmaduke. When I visit my wife's bedroom, and the home is always clean and tidy. The quality of care and support my wife receives is excellent. It makes my life away from her a little easier to bear, knowing she is well looked after.
If I even became full, like my wife, this is the place I would want to be!

Since my dad went into the home in May he has settled so well and looks so much better physically. I believe this is because of the excellent care he is receiving now from the caring helpful staff. They do activities with Dad and make him smile, along with taking excellent care of his health needs with
great professionalism. I feel much happier myself as I do not need to worry about my dad as he is being very well looked after. Thank you to all of the staff.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.681)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.681) out of 10 for Marmaduke is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for Marmaduke is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.681 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marmaduke is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 18 registered maximum number of service users is 3.6. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 3.6 = 0.556

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
