Located in the historic market town of Ledbury, Deer Park Care Home is a short distance from several Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including the Malvern Hills and Wye Valley. Open since 2022, Deer Park Care Home provides 24 hour residential, dementia, nursing and respite care for individuals living in Ledbury and the wider Herefordshire area.

Incorporating many thoughtful and practical features that ensure the comfort and safety of its residents at all times, Deer Park is purpose-built to support the social, emotional and physical needs of the individuals living there. Professional and empathetic care is a standard at Deer Park and their team of hand-selected staff are dedicated to the care, dignity and comfort of every single resident, with particular emphasis on promoting independence, privacy and respect.

Every resident at Deer Park Care Home benefits from their own spacious bedroom with an en suite wetroom as well as numerous communal living areas and dining rooms. Deer Park also has a gym, cinema, café, bespoke hairdressing and nail salon, an activities and wellbeing room and a private dining room for special celebrations. Excellent care home with lovely 5-star decor. Spacious ensuite room, TV, phone and Wi-Fi. Comfortable bed and linens, super food and drink, caring staff and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend it here.

I was a reluctant admission to your establishment as I was visiting my daughter from my home in Chesterfield. After being diagnosed with vertigo I needed to be somewhere safe and not alone as I would be at home. Your establishment has overcome my fears and I am pleased to say being cared for is a great

We have been made most welcome by the care home when visiting my father-in-law. The management, nursing, care and kitchen staff have been and are wonderful. We are so appreciative of everything that they do in making this place his new home.
The facilities and food are without equal.
We attended
the official opening on 2nd September and enjoyed the complimentary lunch.

My father moved to Deer Park in August; he had spent many weeks in hospital and was not going to be able to return home. Deer Park has proved to be the best decision we made. The environment and facilities are magnificent. My dad has a beautiful, bright and airy room with his own private patio area;
as a keen gardener, this is most important to him. On the day that Dad arrived, he was met and welcomed by the manager, her professionalism and concern for his well-being impressed us all. Her leadership is evident throughout the whole home in all departments. The quality of nursing and care has exceeded our family's expectations. The kindness and compassion showed to my father by all of the staff stems from her leadership. It has been so reassuring to be kept informed of my dad's progress and a relief to be told how well he is settling in. My father thoroughly enjoys all his meals and having sampled the lunch on Friday and those delicious homemade biscuits - the food is restaurant quality.

My elderly mother spent a week of respite at Deer Park Care Home. She was very reluctant at the start of her stay and at the end of the week, she was happy to book regular monthly stays. The staff made Mum feel very welcome and the care was first class!

The care home staff have all been so helpful when visiting a friend and always show him the greatest of care. They have also shown great friendship to my elderly mother, inviting her to participate in home activities, even though she is not a resident. The love and care shown mean a great deal.

My grandad has been a resident at Deer Park for just over two months now and our family are so grateful for the excellent care he is receiving. I visit with my toddler and baby and it is a relief to be able to take them to such a homely and welcoming environment. This is a credit to the wonderful staff,
who always make us welcome. I know that my grandad couldn’t be in a better place.

With my mother-in-law's decline in health and her frequent falls, the family decided it was too risky to leave her living in a flat on her own without constant care. After another fall put her in hospital for the second time in two weeks, we needed to find a care home that could meet her ever-changing
needs. We believe Deer Park is it. The modern building has a great layout and doesn't feel like a prison (unlike some homes I visited). It's open and spacious. The facilities are amazing, they have a cinema and hair salon on-site and the food smells and looks delicious. All that being said, the biggest asset is the staff! From the beginning, they have helped arrange the move from a hospital outside the county to here. They are always welcoming, helpful and willing to answer questions. They treat their residents with kindness and dignity and they enjoy a good chat with them too. My mother-in-law has settled well, much to our relief and I can see her starting to enjoy herself. What more could I want?

My father has been determined to remain in his home despite his frailty and vulnerability. It was with trepidation that he came with me to a recent open day at Deer Park and, although very impressed, he once again refused to consider a move.
Following another fall I arranged a 4-week stay which we
insisted he take, to at least give it a try. From the off the team at Deer Park were incredibly helpful and reassuring and he was in their care within 48 hours of my request.
From the moment that he arrived Father was treated with kindness, dignity and good humour. All those who care for him hope that he embraces his new situation as I don't believe we could find a better environment for him to thrive.

All the staff at Deer Park have gone out of their way to welcome my father-in-law into this fabulous new care home. From the moment I made contact, communication has been first class. As an extended family, we have been enveloped in kindness by the whole team.
Whilst the care home is beautifully
and tastefully furnished and exactly what a modern day care home should look like, it is the care and attention of the founding team that makes this care home attractive.
My father-in-law moved in from the hospital and even though this has been a distressing time for all of us we have felt completely supported, practically and emotionally by the team at Deer Park. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
We, as a family, are hugely relieved that our loved one is now in a place where he can be totally looked after and probably (and quite rightly) spoilt rotten!

Kevin

Kevin Peck

Job Title: Home Manager

Hello, my name is Kevin Peck, and I am the Home Manager here at Deer Park.


I am an ex-soldier who served in the Royal Artillery, and I have received my Level 4 Registered Managers award and Level 5 Leadership and Management QCF.


With over 25 years of experience working in the care sector and an additional 20 working as a qualified nurse, I have managed seven separate care homes including a 95-bed dementia village. All my hard work has contributed to my extensive experience in all aspects of care management.


Being married to my wonderful wife who also works in the care industry allows me to have a good understanding of the challenges of working in care. I also have three children, two sons both in their late 20s and a younger daughter who is six years old - she likes to keep me on my toes!


Outside of work, I enjoy playing football with my five-a-side team, and I am a qualified referee at the county level. I referee both ladies and men’s football in the Gloucestershire area.

Hello, my name is Vivienne Hill, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Deer Park Care Home.


As Client Services Manager, I provide support, guidance and compassion to families and their loved ones during what can be a challenging time. I find my role incredibly rewarding and humbling, and I am blessed to work with an incredible team, who provide empathetic and dedicated care to our residents.


I enjoy the opportunity this role has given me to apply the skills, knowledge and experience I have gained within hospitality, event management, sales and marketing throughout a career spanning over 30 years. The role of Client Services Manager is truly diverse, with no two days being the same, and, above all, it enables me to make a difference in people’s lives every day. I am very much hands-on, driven, passionate and considered to be a real people person with a finely-tuned sense of humour.


Having volunteered throughout the pandemic, during which time I helped the elderly and vulnerable, working within the care sector seemed the obvious next step. I am passionate about supporting different charities, especially those in our local area, and members of our local community. It is especially fulfilling to be able to arrange community events as part of my role, and I am particularly proud of Deer Park PALS, our monthly Parkinson’s Support Group.


Here at Deer Park, our entire team works hard to ensure that our residents and their families and friends are provided with the highest possible quality of support and care whilst making sure every visitor receives a warm welcome. Hello, my name is Sarah Fleeting, and I am the Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator here at Deer Park.


I have worked at Deer Park for 16 months, and I find my role very rewarding as I know our team makes a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day. This is my first role in a care home, and I have been thoroughly enjoying it so far. Before joining the Deer Park team I worked mostly in hospitality, and I have NVQs in Hospitality and Customer Care.


Outside of work, I like to spend time with my husband, our daughter and our pomchi, Tally. I am also a Brownie leader and sometimes help out in my friend's pottery painting studio.
