Heathland House is a brand-new luxury care home located in Ferndown, Dorset that is now open and welcoming residents. It is part of the Cinnamon Luxury Care group, a trusted and award-winning provider that is dedicated to great design and outstanding care..

The home will offer first-class residential care in luxury surroundings. There are 59 large en-suite bedrooms and 7 luxury one-bedroom care suites which include an en-suite bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. The care suites are ideal for couples or those who prefer additional space and greater independence. The ground floor rooms have access to their own patio areas whilst on the first and second floors there are large balconies off the communal areas. The home will provide residential and respite care along with a dedicated community for those living with dementia.

Residents will be empowered to live independently, with a social and active lifestyle as they choose. As well as joining in with a busy activities programme, residents can relax in one of the luxury lounges, host family and friends in a private dining room, perfect for those special celebrations, be pampered in the on-site salon, or socialise in the café bar or cinema. A sumptuous and varied menu is prepared by the Heathland House chefs daily with special dietary requirements easily accommodated.   

Stays can range from short-term respite or convalescence care to long-term residence.

Cinnamon Luxury Care group has been awarded one of the Top 20 Mid-Size Care Home Groups by carehome.co.uk for four years in a row; 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Heathland House have an experienced management team who are supported by the central Cinnamon support team, providing regular training and ongoing personal development to all team members. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care my dad receives at Heathland House. Living with dementia can be challenging, but the staff here are patient, understanding, and truly dedicated to providing the best possible support. They treat my dad with kindness, dignity, and respect, ensuring he
feels safe and comfortable every day.


The environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to engage residents in meaningful activities that stimulate their minds and bring joy. It gives me and our family great peace of mind knowing he is in a place where he is not only well cared for but also valued as an individual.
I can't thank the team enough for their compassion and professionalism.

This is my fifth month of living in Heathland House. Being in this care home over Christmas couldn't have gone better. The entertainment each week with singers, musicians, and a lovely school choir. Even Father Christmas came around with presents for everyone. I particularly enjoy the 'use it or lose'
exercise class, and I am also learning tai chi. As I suffer from macular degeneration the management has found a blind class for me to attend every two weeks and they provide transport to and from the group. The staff are so helpful with all my needs. Cups of tea with biscuits and cake are always available. I have settled in now and it is truly my home.

Heathland House is a lovely care home, not like any other I have seen. All the staff are amazing and so caring. My dad moved to Heathland House following a 4th stroke and the death of his wife, everyone in the home could not have been nicer. He has settled in well and I can relax knowing that he is
being well cared for.

The preadmission and welcome on arrival were outstanding. The ambience of the whole place was warm, friendly and caring. From top to bottom, the staff are excellent.

From contacting this home to enquire about a respite stay to leaving the home after a two-week stay, the management and the whole team there have been wonderful, and very helpful.
Every care was listened to and acted upon and they knew everyone by their Christian names and ensured we were happy.
The
catering was very good, and the rooms were spacious and clean.
Wonderful entertainment was provided in lovely settings.

An outstanding care facility. Not only does it have a very welcoming environment, it treats residents like the very valued parts of the community they are.

My aunt has been a resident Heathland House Care Home for over a year now and she has blossomed since being there and is thoroughly enjoying life again. The staff are all very kind, understanding and knowledgeable and look after my aunt with so much love. It was a hard decision to move her into care
but we couldn't be happier. She now has a quality of life again, is safe, well looked after, company and fun with all the activities.

Mum moved into Heathland House as she needed 24-hour care. The home is beautiful, well designed to make living in it easy with wonderful facilities. But more importantly what shines through is the love and care given by the whole team, from meeting daily care needs to rich and personalised activities,

My mum's 92nd birthday was in May and the staff at Heathland House arranged an afternoon tea party for her and her family of 10 in the first floor dining room which has a balcony. We were greeted with balloons tied to Mum's walker and she looked beautiful. The carers had chosen her clothes and put her
makeup on for her. The afternoon tea was laid out on 3 tiered plates with tea or fresh coffee and soft drinks. A lovely member of staff stayed with us and helped us with drinks etc. We were given extra sandwiches and a beautiful birthday cake. I think the staff went over and above to make Mum's day special.

My mother had struggled to live alone for many months with the support of increasingly worried family and friends. A crisis led to us looking at care homes and Heathland was clearly the best. She has now been there for several months and looks healthier and more relaxed. We know that she is getting
regular, good food, is getting her meds when she should, has plenty of company and there are regular activities pitched at a manageable level. Most importantly, the staff are all friendly and caring and seem to take a genuine interest in her wellbeing. She has said that ‘she could not wish for better’.

My mother visited the home on a respite basis after an operation on her hip. The staff were very helpful and obliging from day one. The management ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish, ensuring everything was up and running for my mother's arrival. She really enjoyed her stay here and
the carers and staff made her welcome and saw to her needs every day. On leaving, the management again stepped up to the mark to ensure everything went smoothly. Top-notch care.

I was made very welcome. I had a lovely room. There have been very kind and caring staff who looked after me. Everything I needed was there for me and the food was excellent. Just the right sort of portions for a person who has been ill. The activities were exceptional and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
All that I needed was to push the button and someone will come to see me and I think this is excellent. You gave me a very wonderful 90th birthday and I felt like a queen. I shall miss you all terribly.

Accepting I can no longer look after my husband and trusting strangers to do it for me is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. From the initial visit, the staff at Heathland House have been kind and supportive to us both. They listen and reassure or react to worries and also share the good times when I’m
not there. The relief to know he is safe and well cared for in lovely, spacious surroundings, with excellent food and such friendly, caring staff (who aren’t strangers anymore) is huge. We can go out as we please, spend quiet time together, join in activities, or chat in a lounge with other residents/family we have got to know. Heathland House is now a second home that welcomes our wider family and friends too, who without fail are also impressed by the staff and the surroundings. I’m so pleased to have chosen it.

Nadia

Nadia Greenmaidan

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2023

Having joined Cinnamon Care Collection in December 2023, I am very proud to be part of the group and look forward to meeting you. I believe every individual is entitled to excellent care and support, my aim is to ensure that all residents at Heathland House receive this.


A little background about me; after studying for a BSc in Psychology, I completed an MSc in Conservation Biology. I then began my journey in the care sector as a Support Worker. I thoroughly enjoyed this and have now been a Care Manager for 10 years. I have managed specialist Autism services in the past, as well as elderly care homes.


I also hold a level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and enjoy the learning my role extends to me every day.

Mary Stepin

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2022

What I Do:
My name is Mary Stepin, I am the Deputy Manager at Heathland House. I started working at Heathland House in December 2022. I work very closely with the General Manager to ensure that Residents, their family members and our staff team are supported and that the service we provide is designed and delivered around the needs and wishes of the residents.


My Experience:
My career in Social Care started in 1984, as a Care Assistant in a residential home run by Dorset Council, transferring to the Borough of Poole with the implementation of the three Local Authorities- working in both Residential and Day service Provisions. I then moved to Germany in 1996 where I worked in the Army Medical Centre before returning home and joining a local Housing Association as the Registered Manager developing their Supported Living, Domiciliary Care and Extra Care services in the community.


About Me:
I am married with 5 children and 4 grandchildren. My passion is and always has been football, playing with my friends at the local rec and with the boys at school (girls weren’t allowed to play officially in those days). I managed several children’s teams when I lived in Germany, but now I watch the game from the terraces, I am a season ticket holder with AFC Bournemouth. I also enjoy spending time with my family and going to music concerts.

Job Title: Home Admissons Advisor

Having supported two of my own family members to find the right care for them in previous years and been involved in older persons' housing for longer than I would like to mention, it would be a privilege to assist you in your search.


My past experience has also been within an estate agency as well as residential care, which gives me the insight to signpost you to advice and support.


Living close to Heathland House in the New Forest, I am able to enjoy all that this beautiful location has to offer and am ably placed to share my knowledge with you.

Galya Rudalova

Job Title: Head Chef

What I do: I am the Head Chef at Heathland House, my role includes managing our food suppliers, deliveries, menu scheduling and meeting with residents from time to time to understand their needs and preferences. We like to alter the seasonal menus and take account of resident’s feedback. Our menus change daily, and my team create the meals each day here on the premises.


My experience: I have been a professional chef for 23 years after leaving University and completing my time at a hotel management college. I have a particular interest in patisserie, having been on several professional patisserie and chocolate training courses. I have worked in the Hampshire and New Forest areas for 19 years, which includes 4 years within Cinnamon Care.


About me: I moved from Bulgaria to the UK in 2005, wishing to gain experience, but then had my family here in Hampshire and have remained since! My family are very important to me and I enjoy baking, cake decorating, socializing with friends and travel in the UK and abroad.

Sharon Drake

I’m responsible for the Financial and HR aspects of the home as well as managing and supporting the Administration Assistants.


My experience: I have over 30 years of experience in Finance and Administration, within a variety of Industries. I enjoy putting that knowledge and experience to use daily. I love working at Heathland House and being a part of everyone’s story.
