So very lucky to have found this amazing care home, from the minute you walk through the door you are greeted with such kindness and care. The staff are very highly attentive and skilled and nothing is too much trouble. Amazing place.

My dad who has both Parkinson’s Disease and dementia stayed at Oat Hill Mews for two weeks of respite care so that my Mum could have a break. The staff were caring, compassionate and knowledgeable and went to great lengths to understand what my Dad might enjoy in terms of food and activities.
The home’s
facilities are wonderful in terms of multiple lounges, dining rooms and activity rooms on each floor. The Activities Coordinator was fantastic with both my Dad and my young children!
I highly recommend it, and we will be back next time respite is needed.

Susanne Stevens

Job Title: Home Manager

I have been passionate about providing excellent care throughout my career.


I joined Care UK as I wanted to work with a company that shared my belief in providing excellent care for residents and share my passion for person-centred care.


As a Home Manager, I believe I must be organised, calm, empathetic and patient to provide the best care to residents. Having these traits has helped me to build great relationships with residents which is often my favourite part of my job. I enjoy getting to know residents and learning about their hobbies and their interesting lives before joining us at Oat Hill Mews.


One of the biggest achievements in my career is my BSc in Nursing which led me to work as a Nurse. I then moved on to home management within a few years as I loved watching staff develop and provide the residents with the best care. One of my biggest achievements throughout my career was developing my team to provide the best care which was rewarded with an improvement in our CQC score.
