Visitors welcome, they encourage to avoid meal times if possible and after 8pm when residents may be relaxing in their nightwear.
Parking is available on site. Visitors asked if they park on the local roads to be courteous to neighbours.

We are extremely disappointed that you have had a negative experience during the short time your mother stayed with us in February. Although the stay was managed and funded by the NHS, the home manager still has overall responsibility and would have been happy to meet you regarding your concerns had you brought them to our attention at the time. Please be reassured the vase, mentioned in your comment, is safely stored in the home and the next of kin has been contacted on several occasions regarding collection of this. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to those we support, and it is something we take very seriously. Once again, we are very sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations, I will be happy to meet you to discuss this further.

I’ve worked in residential Care since I was 18 years old and never looked back, becoming a Home Manager in my early twenties in Cambridge where I became particularly interested in Dementia Care. Today I now Live in Leeds overseeing the day-to-day running of Adel Manor Care Centre. Leading and managing staff so they can perform their roles to the best of their ability, ensuring that they have the skills to care for all older people within the home, and ensuring that dignity and respect are paramount. Enabling people to live a fulfilling life whilst living at Adel Manor, empowering well-being and that all older people have a voice and a role to play out in Adel Manor. I hold a BSc in Dementia Studies. Training and mentoring people in dementia care is my speciality and my passion. I‘ve enjoyed several roles in my career, including a National Dementia Role and a Home Manager, I have been fortunate to work with inspirational professionals throughout. But my greatest pleasure and privilege remains meeting the wonderful and interesting people who’ve resided in the homes over the years. The foundation of my management style is to be open and honest; that applies at all levels from the staff team, senior management and of course, the residents around whom all our efforts should be centred. This of course extends to friends and family too, to create a holistic and relational model of care.
In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my family and relaxing. I live in Leeds with my partner and two aged Chihuahuas. I’m mum to a grown-up daughter and her little boy, our grandson Oscar, the apple of my eye who is five years old. I’m happy now to be settled in Yorkshire which is a lovely place to live with lots to discover and enjoy locally and farther afield. It’s a great place full of great people.

My background is as a registered Pharmacy Technician and have worked in the pharmacy profession for 14 years. I have worked in a variety of settings including community pharmacies, and acute and mental health hospitals and for the last 5 years, I have supported care homes with the safe management of medication. I have a passion for improving standards of care within care home settings and have supported a variety of care homes across Leeds to develop robust procedures with a focus on medicine safety. Working in a care home is incredibly rewarding, primarily because of the residents themselves. Each day, I am inspired by their resilience, warmth, and unique personalities. Building meaningful relationships with residents and witnessing the joy and gratitude they express, even in the face of challenges, makes every moment worthwhile.

My name is Corina Davison, and I am employed as the well-being coordinator at Adel Manor. I have worked in Health Care for over 20 years and in a variety of roles. I now work in well-being, as I get to work closely with the residents to provide meaningful activities and social stimulation, whilst making new memories and helping them to reminisce on old ones. I enjoy my job a great deal as I look forward to making a lasting impact on the lives of others, whilst simulating their mind, body, and soul. If I can make just one person smile each day, then I can rest at night happy.
