Located in Beulah Hill, Beulah Vista Care Home offers residential, nursing and dementia care for adults over the age of 65.

Inside the home there are 55 en suite rooms, all offering bright and homely features. Residents are welcome to bring their own belongings but everything will be provided. There are also living and dining areas across the home where residents can enjoy fresh and tasty meals and snacks, socialise with other residents, or enjoy some quiet time reading a book or watching the TV. Outside there are well presented gardens where residents can enjoy the warmer weather.

The team of experienced care professionals provide person-centred care that places residents at the heart of everything they do. My husband of 62 years, now aged 87, came for respite on 17 May and stayed on as he is looked after so well. The staff could not be kinder or more helpful. His walking has improved and he is enjoying the food and the company of the carers. He finds his bed very comfortable and likes the garden. He was
even allowed to water the plants! I am happy because he is safe and will be helped if he falls. I enjoy my visits and chats with him and the staff. I am so glad we found Beulah Vista!

As an unpaid volunteer, I have witnessed a consistently high level of professional care at Beulah Vista. The staff are not overly strait-laced, formal or clinically distant but seem to go out of their way to be kindly and gentle. I was impressed by the tireless attention I saw being lavished upon some
very vulnerable people. It cannot be easy to focus all of one's attention upon someone who may be very confused, who may even be quite irritable. And yet that's what I witnessed: care workers assisting others with good humour and extraordinary patience. The Management Team seem to be open to anything that might improve the quality of life of the residents. They have warmly encouraged and welcomed visiting musicians to perform there and are planning visits out. There's a good vibe about the place, a lot of laughter and simple common humanity. Beulah Vista is a newly opened new build. It's much more luxurious and opulent than I'm used to. The place looks like a palace. It's beautiful.

The staff have been brilliant. A new place, so all facilities not open yet i.e salon, but will be fantastic when it is. Dad is treated brilliantly from his health to being waited on like a king.

Kindness, consideration and respect are what I was looking for my 98-year-old mum to do one-week rolling respite per month. Beulah Vista more than delivered. The home is a lovely, light, bright space, wonderfully equipped, looking onto the gardens. However, although gorgeous surroundings, an amazing
cinema, a grand piano, beautiful flowers and delicious food can be a psychological boost. The most vital factor for me is the personal care taken in every last detail of recognizing what makes each individual resident's experience a positive one. Thank you to the manager and the whole team of excellent people at Beulah Vista. My mum wasn't keen to leave fast when I fetched her, and I was overjoyed that she had been treated so well.

Gemma Weldon

Job Title: Home Manager

I have been working in the care industry for the past 15 years and have worked in many roles in both Nursing Homes and within the Community. I qualified as an RGN in 2013 and completed my studies at Kingston University. Dementia care has always been a keen passion of mine so after qualifying as a nurse, I went on to study additional modules at Worcester University specifically in dementia care.


In my previous role, I was the registered Home Manager for three years at a 51 bedded Nursing Home which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was previously the Deputy Manager of a 70 bedded, commissioning Nursing Home in Carshalton near Sutton, and here is where I developed a passion for commissioning. I feel privileged to be opening Beulah Vista and have enjoyed all the challenges a new home faces. Being here from the beginning gives me the best opportunity to lead by example and support the team to implement person-centered care for our residents.


I have also worked as an Admiral Nurse based in Sutton Social Services for 18 months. An Admiral Nurse is a specialist dementia nurse who gives expert advice and support to families caring for a loved one living with dementia. This role not only enabled me to help families through difficult times, but it allowed me to deliver training to other Health Care professionals enhancing their knowledge of dementia.


I know that the key to excellent care is strong communication and believe that you are only as good as your team. I have seen how the needs of people have changed and how the demand for nursing and dementia care has increased over the years. I am determined to be a part of the positive change for the future of care.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I am a Mental Health Nurse and qualified in 2016 at Greenwich University. I have previously worked as a Forensic Nurse but for the most part of my nursing, I have worked in Dementia care. No two days are the same in a Care Home, so we are always learning something new. I take great pleasure in caring for people living with Dementia, including the frail and elderly and feel this is what I was born to do.


I have previously worked as a Clinical Lead/ Deputy Manager in another Care Home before coming to Beulah Vista. It has been an exciting experience coming to work as a commissioning Deputy Manager and I look forward to developing and supporting team members, to give the best possible care to our residents.

Job Title: Administrator

My role consists of being part of the leadership team supporting the Home Manager by ensuring a smooth running of the care home.


I have many years of experience working in the care sector supporting older people, young people and children. I have personal care experience as was the main carer for my dad and have loved being a carer ever since. I find it to be very rewarding to work in the care industry gaining experience and obtaining a Level 5 in Health and Social Care. Before I worked in care, I was a Deputy Finance Assistant for a children's centre and have several years of experience as an administrator.


I love supporting the team at Beulah Vista and have an open-door policy. I look forward to supporting new team members and our residents.

Job Title: Marketing and Resident Wellbeing Manager

My Name is Lindsay Massey, and I am the Marketing & Resident Wellbeing Manager here at Beulah Vista. My role here is to raise awareness of our home within the community, inviting when safe to do so, local schools, churches, and groups into our home. To liaise with family members who wish to place their loved ones in our care, to ensure that it is a safe, smooth, and caring transition and as stress-free as it can be.


I worked for Legal & General for 27 years before deciding I needed to work in a job that made a difference. I have been working in care almost continuously for the last 18 years. I have done many jobs from reception, HR, Resident Accounts, Dining, Activities and Marketing. The latter two are my favourites.

I am a people person and like to think that I can help families with difficult decisions and help the residents to enjoy as many different activities as they can and embrace being in care rather than being frightened of it.
The out-of-work Lindsay lives with her husband Stuart, my mother and rescue dog Bosco. Both of my boys have moved out to live with their girlfriends, but we still see each other a lot as they are local and they all play golf (I try!), I like cooking, travelling, reading, walking, Pilates, socialising with friends and recently I have taken up cold water swimming!

Job Title: Senior Health Care Assistant

I live very local to Beulah Vista and saw the home being built. I have been a Senior Carer for the past 9 years and work the night shifts. I have two small daughters that I dote on and love watching them grow. I am creative and like to partake in events at Beulah Vista and love to decorate at Christmas time.


I like to lead by example and am keen to help develop our Health Care Assistants into Senior Carers. I have found our mini-modules very useful at Beulah Vista and enjoyed our induction week in the classroom.

I have been a Kitchen Assistant for the past 8 years and love working in the kitchen setting. I love baking and making desserts- I enjoy watching our residents enjoying something sweet with a nice cup of tea. I like to learn about our resident's different cultures and food preferences, I learn something new every day.


I believe that good teamwork plays a huge part in the kitchen and I love to support my chefs as they support me. Family time is important and I spend lots of time with my family on my days off. I also enjoy listening to music and watching food competition programmes such as the British bake-off.
