Liberton Brae is situated in a residential area in Edinburgh. The home provides quality care to up to 50 residents and is registered to deliver care for needs relating to dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, old age, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.

Liberton Brae offers modern living in a purposeful designed environment. There are 50 bedrooms, each with en suite facilities to provide maximum privacy and dignity for all residents, as well as an onsite bar, generous living areas and a welcoming dining space to ensure residents have plenty of space to socialise and enjoy their time. The home also has a lift and wheelchair access to promote mobility around the home at all times.

Care will be delivered on a person-centred basis, following care plans that are carefully designed by professionals to cater for the individual requirements of each resident. This gives peace of mind to residents and their loved ones that they are receiving the very best care, taking away the worry that often comes with a move to a care home.

I have found all members of staff very professional. They are caring and ensure that my mother has the support and care that she requires. Not always the easiest of patients they were quick to build a relationship with her and make her feel that she and her needs matter. I could not ask for better care
and on the days that she is upset when I leave feel assured that she is being left in good hands!

Think she has settled in very well in the short space of time and speed in which she was moved. Concerned at the time as she was still recovering from her fall but needn’t have worried as she was being looked after very well. The staff are very kind and helpful and feel confident that she will be okay
when we leave her.

Just a wonderful home. All the facilities are new, and of a very high standard, but that’s not what sets the home apart. The most amazing thing about this place is the staff - and I mean everyone. No matter what their role is, all the staff go the extra mile. They aren’t doing a job, they are genuinely
caring for individuals. Everyone I have met, and engaged with, has a heart and it shows in everything they do. I have so much admiration for them.
Checking my dad into a care home was something I put off several times, but in the end, I had to do it so he was safe. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. I have no regrets and only praise for the wonderful team at Liberton Brae. They are special people. My dad - who I thought would never settle away from his own home - is content and happy.
The rooms, communal spaces, dining experiences, and activities are all great but what makes this a real home is the care and heart of the team. Thank you to them all.

After a difficult period of poor health and hospitalisation, my sister and I settled on Liberton Brae Nursing Care Home for our mum. Since her move into the setting we have been delighted with the nursing care, communication, compassion, and all round service that the staff and organisation have provided
Mum with. The facilities are the best we have seen in our visits around many other homes and the activities, care and atmosphere in the home have been first-class. Mum is so safe, happy and well cared for now and the manager and all staff have made huge efforts to ensure Mum is happy, settled and enjoying life again.

We viewed this care home a few times before selecting it for our mother who is registered blind with poor mobility and early stages of Alzheimer’s. We were hoping she would be able to get home but things progressed quickly and it became obvious that it was unsafe for her to be on her own with carers
coming in.
The home is lovely with spacious rooms, en-suite shower and toilet and alarm systems in place if she tries to get up during the night. She has put on weight since admission (was very low in weight) and is enjoying the company and activities. The staff are on top of everything and very helpful and kind.
Because it has recently opened, activities are increasing and there is a service from the local church once a month now.
The staff helped her celebrate her birthday and got her ready for us to take her out for a family celebration. They also had an event for the Coronation which pleased her.
This has been a good choice for mum.

My dad was the first resident here as newly refurbished absolutely beautiful and so clean! The staff are so caring and can’t do enough for him! Superb place he’s very happy! My dad is truly extremely happy here and loves all the staff!

My name is Claire and I am the Home Manager of Liberton Brae.
I have just recently joined Amicura, I bring a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years within the Health and Social Care sector.
I really enjoy being a home manager and I am dedicated to leading my team to provide the highest standard of care and support in a homely and welcoming environment.
My background is as a registered mental health nurse, with management roles in recent 12 years.


Out of work I enjoy walking and cycling and spending time with my loved ones
