My mother was among the first to move in upstairs. We were very happy with how she settled in, the attention from all the staff was excellent. However, as more residents moved in we became a little concerned by the ratio of staff to residents, especially as some required almost one-to-one care. Activities
seem very uninspiring. I know my mum, and the friends she has made, find them a little condescending. I would like to add that all quality of care is outstanding.

I contacted Chalkwell Grange Care Home for emergency respite for my grandad. The management was extremely helpful and talked me through what I needed to do to secure a room in this beautiful home. With their guidance, I was able to get my grandad placed in the home on the same day. Grandad was welcomed
in by the home manager and deputy manager. The deputy manager sorted him out with his favourite fish and chips for lunch and carried out his assessment. The deputy manager treated my grandad with so much care and love and with her help we settled Grandad in really quickly. The home manager also showed a great deal of compassion and empathy to us as a family and it is clear that this attitude cascades down through her team. The whole experience of placing Grandad into a home has been very difficult but all the staff have been incredible and, with their help, it has made a difficult experience much easier. I know he will be well looked after. Also, there are always freshly made cakes in the cafe. Bonus.

Attended a resident's relatives meeting - well attended by staff and clients. Great discussions on topics relative to care and sharing ideas on resident activities and concerns were addressed if any. Well organised and a valuable addition to the nursing of the care home. It's good for relatives to be
included.

Our dad joined Chalkwell Grange Care Home, very soon after Mum died, just before Christmas. The place is so fresh and new, Dad did not realise it was a "home". He so fought the idea of a "ghastly home". The staff here make residents so welcome and treat them as family. Warmth and genuine care are evident.
Standards throughout are first-class. They are new and developing and growing. Feedback is invited, open and acted on. Activities are low at weekends and staff a little too. Not all residents want to be in their rooms at 7 pm and having brought Dad back from an afternoon out with family, it can be hard to find a member of staff. Overall, delighted Dad is safe, well and happy. Highly recommend.

A friend moved into Chalkwell Grange on October 31st (opening day). The staff were very welcoming. They were eager to make sure all residents should feel at home. Nothing has been too much trouble. My friend was unwilling to admit that an independent life was no longer possible but now accepts that
life is comfortable, safe and free from everyday worries. Chalkwell Grange is a happy, lively environment. I would happily join this caring community.

It was a very difficult and emotional experience to please our lovely mother in a nursing home so it needed to be the best we could find. Chalkwell Grange is brand new and very clean and pleasant. It is also situated close to where Mum used to live. The staff have been very welcoming, pleasant and obviously
kind to our mum. They have listened to and understood any concerns we've had. Obviously, it's early days but activities laid on, hairdressing, nails, great food etc have helped Mum settle. It will be even better once trips out can be arranged.

We went to the open day on 3rd December and had a really good time. Our mother was jolly and enjoying all the great activities on that day, including a fabulous singer. The atmosphere was very happy and made to feel very comfortable. The staff are all so helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

My mum was very against coming to a care home. She has been here for five weeks. She has settled and the other day thanked me for finding her Chalkwell Grange Care Home. She loves all the staff and is benefitting from all the stimulation and activities. The surroundings are beautiful and she is always
saying how she loves all the staff. I can speak for all my sisters, we love Chalkwell Grange and so thankful we found it.

A dear, close friend has just moved into Chalkwell Grange Care Home as no longer able to live alone. However, since moving in, he has become a new person and very much like the friend I had before being lonely and isolated. The atmosphere of the home is superb and a welcoming, relaxing environment.
It is a delight to visit as all the staff are so warm, friendly and professional in their outlook and the care given to my dear friend is wonderful and compassionate. He has also been able to take some furniture, pictures and photographs to make his room homely and relaxing for him. His very well-decorated room is very large and he tells me that he is having the best sleep ever in his comfortable and cosy bed. I have no doubt in my mind that my friend will be cared for, catered and supported for the rest of his life.

Within a day of being there, my mum has changed. The carers encourage her to do things for herself, she is never alone unless she wants to be. They have loads of activities, it's a real home from home. Her room is kept clean and tidy. All her washing is done. The food is just amazing. There is a menu
but can have anything she wants. The management team are so helpful and friendly. They took the strain away from us as a family. My mum is so happy and contented and that is because of everyone at Sanders Senior Living. You have given us back our old mum. The staff are so friendly. It's not like a care home at all, this is my mum's new home. Thank you all.

A godsend. Mum has settled in well at Chalkwell Grange Care Home for her respite. She has only been in the home for less than a week and I can already see a vast improvement in her health and mental well-being. All the staff are fantastic and have been so caring and considerate to Mum's needs. All the
meals are exceptional and this has encouraged Mum to regain her appetite. This truly is a home-from-home. The family are so thankful and relieved to know that Mum is in the very best of care. Thank you!

Over the past few weeks, me and my mum have visited a fair few care homes in our local area as we've been looking for somewhere for my nan. Every one we visited left us feeling so sad as I knew my nan would be so unhappy going into them after wandering around and looking at them. That was until we visited
Chalkwall Grange Care Home, it is nothing short of amazing! I am happy for her to be living the best life she can in this beautiful place! I recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a home for someone they love! The staff have gone above and beyond to make this step as easy as they can for us and my grandmother and have shown us nothing but kindness and love in what is a hard step to take for any family! This home sets the bar for all other homes to try to follow!
