The building always looked after, the staff seem kind and caring. I love the decorations, making it all look very homely. I appreciate the sofas and tables, to be able to sit down with a coffee and a chat.

My husband was transferred from hospital to Surbitonian Gardens on 17th January 2024, so our experience of care provided is very short.
We are satisfied with care and nursing care provided. Atmosphere is very friendly and helpful. Food very good.

My father-in-law is a resident here. He has been treated with respect, dignity and care of a very high standard. I'm told the food looks wonderful and there is a nice choice. Now he isn't eating I don't see the meals. I think the room is nice, it's good he can have fresh air, and TV when he is in better
health. The bathroom appears well laid out and equipped. I think my mother-in-law, brother-in-law and husband have felt well supported as have I.

The staff at Surbitonian Gardens are all very friendly and caring. They show empathy with all clients. I have found everyone to be very kind always. The food is really varied and well-cooked. Also, the care home is beautifully set out and the furnishings and accessories are of quality, but the care
and friendliness is wonderful.

My sisters and I have been very impressed with Surbitonian Gardens, and the care our mother has received. The facilities are first rate and the rooms are comfortable, with spacious communal areas allowing for social mixing and exercise. The staff have taken the trouble to get to know our mother as an
individual, and have made her very welcome, tailoring activities to keep her active and help her settle in. Overall, we're very pleased with the service.

My husband has stayed several times for respite care to give me a break, but the review box above only allows me to put in one time. He stayed there for several weeks while recovering from a broken wrist and then broken leg in the earlier part of 2023. In July he went for respite for nearly two weeks,
for just over two weeks in September and in December for one week. Many of the staff remembered my husband and greeted him warmly so that was reassuring to me. The staff also encouraged him to take part in daily activities and it was good that the local vicar came once a month and I hope that can be increased as our Christian faith is very important to both of us and my husband sings the hymns lustily. He loves classical music too so any opportunity to hear or see a video of an orchestral concert will always be appreciated. Perhaps small groups of local musicians could come to entertain the residents from time to time. Thank you for your care of him and he's booked in for respite next month!

Surbitonian Gardens is imaginatively arranged into areas which make for a pleasant atmosphere - nowhere is ever crowded. The carers and nurses are all amazing - always lively and interact with the patients and have fun, which is very important for patients with dementia. When I visit, I always find
my husband in good spirits. Two amazing ladies in the music and arts and visiting entertainers are lively and create a lot of fun and stimulation. I visit my husband nearly every day, and I am always made welcome.

Most impressed and grateful for the care, attention and respect that my mother receives. The patience of the staff is to be applauded. The activities are varied, enjoyable and appropriate. My partner was only in Subtionian Gardens for 8 days before he died but his family and I found his time there a very positive experience. The care from all the staff we encountered was wonderful and the care towards us, his grieving family was also so compassionate. The home had been highly recommended
to me by a neighbour and we were not disappointed in any way. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

My Mother-in-law came into this home early in July 2023 we were as a family straight away very, very impressed with the look of the home. The bedrooms are just beautiful but above all the staff and the care home manager are just wonderful, nothing is too much and they listen to everything you say and
take this on board. You feel very welcome all the time in this home and my Mother-in-law is at end-of-life and we as a family are very happy that she is at Subitonian Gardens, it is a truly wonderful special home.

Five star experience. Home from home. No smells when entering or walking around the premises. Tastefully designed, very clean, welcoming and latest technology available; e.g. WiFi, TV Smart, music, hoists and bathroom equipment. Wide choice of lounges and cosy corners and pretty gardens. Management
and staff very attentive and caring, nothing too much trouble. Residents are treated as clients, with respect and patience. Ideally, a receptionist required seven days, but understand this is in hand. Takes time to establish care plan and routine, but all comes together!

I visit a resident of Surbitonian Gardens weekly and each time I hear how poor and tasteless all the meals are. This requires immediate attention. The resident's room was/is below a water leak from the floor above and the stain has been visible for weeks. This requires immediate attention. Due to this
two-hundred word limit I can only highlight one more thing; the manager has failed to phone me back after six phone calls.

A spacious care home with excellent furniture and furnishings.
I only spent one week convalescing after an operation.
The food was disappointing - attention is badly needed in this area.

My dad was one of the first residents to use the home in August 2022 for respite care, while my husband and I had a couple of short holidays. He then went in November as a permanent resident. We have been really happy with his care, and his health and well-being have improved since being there. The
staff are friendly and helpful. My dad has a spacious room with a large en-suite bathroom where he enjoys a daily shower. Very impressed with the housekeeping team, as Dad's room always looks clean and tidy. We are very happy that he is being cared for so well, but more importantly, my dad tells us he is happy.

We moved in in March this year. The home is lovely. The carers are ratioed 4:1 residents to carer assistance. Things have changed since new management has taken charge. The housekeeping is great, as is the agency staff provided. We speak with all of them, they change daily, and they are a joy to talk
to. The rooms are large with ample furniture. We are in need of nursing care, and we are getting that.

We were dreading the time when we realised she needed full-time care. After living with us for over two and a half years, even though she has dementia, she is still a strong-willed woman and we were fearful of what her reaction would be when she had to go into a care home. We were, therefore, delighted
when being told she has entered into many activities and she appears to be "friends" she has made there.
