My dad was one of the first residents to use the home in August 2022 for respite care, while my husband and I had a couple of short holidays. He then went in November as a permanent resident. We have been really happy with his care, and his health and well-being have improved since being there. The
staff are friendly and helpful. My dad has a spacious room with a large en-suite bathroom where he enjoys a daily shower. Very impressed with the housekeeping team, as Dad's room always looks clean and tidy. We are very happy that he is being cared for so well, but more importantly, my dad tells us he is happy.

We moved in in March this year. The home is lovely. The carers are ratioed 4:1 residents to carer assistance. Things have changed since new management has taken charge. The housekeeping is great, as is the agency staff provided. We speak with all of them, they change daily, and they are a joy to talk
to. The rooms are large with ample furniture. We are in need of nursing care, and we are getting that.

We were dreading the time when we realised she needed full-time care. After living with us for over two and a half years, even though she has dementia, she is still a strong-willed woman and we were fearful of what her reaction would be when she had to go into a care home. We were, therefore, delighted
when being told she has entered into many activities and she appears to be "friends" she has made there.

Surbitonian Gardens has been greatly supportive and very caring towards our whole family whilst being very caring for my mother, who has dementia, amongst other medical problems. The surroundings are bright and pleasant. The staff are very approachable, and any concerns are addressed promptly. Peace
of mind is invaluable.

My brother was transferred from Scotland in December and has settled in extremely well. The room is lovely, spacious and well-appointed. This was a huge step for him leaving his home and with all his complications, but was surprised at how quickly he adapted. With all the ongoing red tape and changes
of authorities, I have many questions, but nothing is too much trouble, and the feedback is excellent. I am contacted regularly about any changes in his care by phone or email, so I feel confident that I have no reason to worry about him. They are accommodating with regard to meals, and if something different is requested, he can have it without any question. I am confident that his medication for his Parkinsons is administered on time which was a worry when he was living at home. The staff are very friendly and professional and genuinely care for all the residents. It is always a big step to putting a loved one into care, and I'm happy I chose Surbitonian Gardens.

We contacted Surbitonian Gardens before they opened and had a visit from one of their managers. Such a good visit. We were invited to call in for coffee once a week, which we did, so my husband would feel at home as he found difficulty staying in Day Care on a previous respite. Later, he happily stayed
for respite with support from such kind, capable and professional staff who are trained in this field. The atmosphere is welcoming and happy. The accommodation is so well appointed and practical too. There are planned activities daily, varied activities with all types of music - so important for dementia sufferers. My husband is now settled as a permanent resident. He said completely out of the blue, this is a good place.

My sister was only 58 when she came into Surbitonian Gardens for end-of-life care for an aggressive glioblastoma (brain tumour) and sadly, she was only able to spend 3 weeks there. I cannot speak highly enough of the setting and the facilities, but these pale into insignificance when compared to the
calibre of the staff. The manager fought valiantly to get my sister into the home she had actually (and somewhat ironically) chosen for our mother who died just a few weeks before her; both nursing staff and carers could not have been kinder or more willing. Absolutely everyone working at Surbitonian Gardens seems thoroughly invested in its values and it has been wonderful to have been involved with such lovely people, albeit in such a sad situation. They provided me, as well as my sister, with plenty of support and did everything they could for us. Thank you all!

My mother moved into Surbitonian Gardens at the beginning of September 2022. The home is very well designed, with fabulous facilities for residents and their families. The rooms are well equipped and spacious.
The staff, without exception, have all been great, kind, caring, respectful and treating
Mum with great dignity, and engaging with us, providing information and the ability to discuss matters in a professional yet relaxed way.

My husband has been in Surbitonian Gardens for nearly a month. When I first visited, the home was brand new, so there were no residents, but I met all the managers, and after talking with them, I felt there would be good strong leadership promoting the ethos, one of care, inclusion and treating the
residents with respect and as individuals.
There are daily planned activities to stimulate and enrich their experiences and live singing. All the staff work together as a united team and provide excellent care in a friendly and respectful manner. The food is delicious and varied.
The rooms feel spacious, and the building itself is light and airy, creating a nice environment. It is split into different areas giving a choice of privacy, sociability and homeliness. The garden is a great asset to walk and sit in.
Most important of all, my husband has settled well, and I feel he is safe and being very well looked after.
