Cheshire Springs is a small 20-bed complex needs care home in Whitby, Ellesmere Port. The home supports adults living with complex mental health needs, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities, including those who display complex behaviours of concern.

Cheshire Springs is part of Exemplar Health Care, a specialist care provider for adults living with complex and high acuity needs.

The team at Cheshire Springs includes Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Therapists and Life Skills/Activities Coordinators. They provide person-centred care and rehabilitation that supports people on their journey from being in hospital to living in the community, as well as longer-term support for those living with degenerative or life-limiting illnesses.

The care at Cheshire Springs focuses on supporting people to live their best lives by maximising their independence and building their everyday living skills.

Cheshire Springs has 20 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across two units. The home also has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, a therapy kitchen, a beauty salon and a large accessible garden.

Each unit has two purpose-built rooms to support people with bariatric care needs.

My husband has now been a resident in Cheshire Springs for almost a year. We could not have found a better have in every aspect. The care he receives is wonderful. The carers have got to know his likes, dislikes and needs and needs and tailor their care accordingly. The food is excellent, with a good
choice and can be adapted to personal preferences. Visitors can eat with their relatives at any times. There is an excellent activities team who take my husband for walks both near the home and further afield. The home is cleaned to a high standard. It is a very welcoming, friendly place with a very effective management.

When I visited the residents were playing bingo with the staff. Everybody was enjoying themselves. The staff are really friendly and treat the residents very well. They interact with the residents and the atmosphere is really friendly.

First impression pleasant, comfortable, welcoming, and friendly.

When we first came, my brother didn't look very comfortable, but carers came and made my brother comfortable and changed sheets. We switched on the fan and my brother's streaming service for him to watch. So now my brother is more settled than when we first came.

My mum has been a resident in Cheshire Springs for six months and my two brothers and I are delighted with the care provided to her.
Facilities - purpose-built Nursing Home with all modern facilities and standards.
Care/support - beyond our expectations.
Cleanliness - everywhere is lovely and clean
100% of the time.
Treated with dignity - my mum is treated with dignity by all of the staff and at all times.
Food and drink - my mum enjoys wholesome meals and always has a drink available.
Staff - all of the staff greet us when we visit, they have a great relationship with my mum and engage with her generously.
Activities - my mum is involved with a wide variety of activities, including visits to a local café for tea and cake, and local social clubs for a sing-a-long, bingo, etc.
Management - The top-class management team and I have attended a review meeting with them.
Safety and Security - my mum is safe and secure and this is reassuring for me.

I cannot recommend Cheshire Springs enough. When he first moved here we asked to decorate his room and were told that it is now his home so to do exactly what we wanted. This made such a difference in making my brother feel at home. The staff go well above in the care they provide and are more like
friends.

My dad has just moved from hospital in the last six weeks. Cheshire Springs is great for him because it's convenient for all the family, we can be there within five minutes. The place is lovely and the staff are excellent and a few of them me and my sister know personally. I would recommend this centre
to anyone. It's a relatively new building, but I hope it comes on in leaps and bounds.

This care home is amazing, the staff are very friendly, helpful and nothing is too much for them. The care is excellent and the home is always clean, they take residents on days out with what they are interested in.

My husband went into Cheshire Springs care home in November 22. From his arrival, the welcome for us both was so welcoming. Every member of staff introduced themselves and made us feel at home. The home is a beautiful home from home. He has been so well cared for and nothing is too much trouble. They
have a lovely family room so relatives can stay over if need be. Also, they have been there for me every step of the way as well as the welfare of my husband. Can't thank them enough. What a fantastic team, they must have been handpicked. Will never be able to thank them enough for their caring attitude. Thank you to all the staff.

Excellent support from the start of the assessment process. Successful admission.
Excellent communication. Outstanding care staff and management. My brother remained in good hands throughout his entire stay, prior to his return to the US.
Throughout his stay, staff delivered wonderful, person-centred
care and were able to identify the complexities of his condition.
In addition to Cheshire Springs Care Home's exemplary services provided for my brother, the facility was readily hospitable for relatives and loved ones. I was conveniently able to stay in comfort while helping during the transition of returning home.
Anyone would be lucky to receive care and reside at Cheshire Springs.
