Train stations in Beaconsfield and Slough are quick and easy to get to and give excellent links to London (and the rest of the UK).

A thank you to Signature at Farnham Common – from 9 May to 21 May.
The numerous persons at Signature made my two-week stay at Signature at Farnham Common comfortable and good for me. It was a pleasant environment and comfortable on all counts. The food was varied and high class. So, the respite care,
without its excellent staff, would be just a lovely building. The whole building was always spotlessly clean and the quality hotel standard. So, its attentive, smart and caring staff makes it whole and complete and merits its five stars. The manager could do more to mingle with the residents rather than leave it to the key conductor. Of particular excellence was one member of staff who was everywhere for me.
Suggestions :
More hand grip bars in the bathroom are more practical. An “L” handgrip bar at the toilet. A more practical commode - a solid chair with an open back is more comfortable and practical. It converts into a stool without a back.
The bed needs to be wider - a 90cm bed.

My 98-year-old mother could no longer live alone, and Signature has provided a home for her that is everything and more we could hope for and more.
She is thriving in her new environment and loves it. This week has included a visit from a pony, an author and wine tasting, among many other activities.
All the staff are exceptional.

My mum entered Farnham Common Care Home in December.
The member of staff who we initially spoke to arranging for my mum to reside at the home helped enormously, which enabled her to settle in so quickly. All the staff were so caring and helpful but I would like to say that the staff member who is my
mum's main carer is excellent, and I thank her on behalf of the family for all that she does for my mum. Also, I would like to mention another staff member for all her hard work and kindness she has given to my mum.

The staff at Signature have been excellent. My mother-in-law has a couple of minor health issues but they have been dealt with professionally and with care. Since moving into the home, she looks much better and is in better spirits in general. She is happier and calmer, less stressed. We are happy with
the care being given.

My mother moved into the Signature care home at Farnham Common a month ago. We, as a family, have found the experience very positive. The rooms are clean, well-decorated and comfortable. Mum's carers have been kind, caring and willing to go the extra mile. The nursing care has been excellent, and we
feel that Mum is in safe hands. There is a full activities programme, and Mum has enjoyed the social aspect of the facilities on offer. There is a very friendly atmosphere present.

My mum came to live at Signature at Farnham Common soon after it opened, having endured a serious fall last September in Sheffield and travelled from there in a private ambulance. When she arrived, she was frail, confused, and not eating very much. In just over seven weeks, the changes in my mum have
been remarkable: she has put on weight, is visibly enjoying her food, and has recovered a good deal of her spark and 'old personality'. A significant factor in these improvements, I am in no doubt, is the outstanding environment and experience created by Signature. The building design and construction are first-rate (the interior has a 'village' feel), the food is superb (including for visitors!), and most importantly, the nursing and care and other services are of a consistently high standard. There's a high quality of care and professional compliance, not one at the expense of the other. Well done, Signature at Farnham Common, and thank you.

My parents were respite residents over the Christmas period at a very busy time for the family. The level of care and assistance provided was superb, so much so that my wife's family have now moved their mother to sample the delights. The only negatives experienced are lack of parking and (hopefully
as it is newly opened) access to the guests is not easy outside of 8 till 17:30.

My career in care started in 2013, it has been a privilege that most of my journey has been with Signature Care Homes. During this time, I gained and developed my skills as a Residential Care Manager, working in different Signature homes and I am now delighted to move into the role of General Manager at Farnham Common. I am passionate about delivering exceptional care to our residents, ensuring our values are promoted by all our staff members, so we maintain excellent standards in all our day-to-day activities. By being a positive role model within the Home, I hope to share this passion, working alongside, supporting my team, and building caring relationships with all our residents and respective families.

Job Title: Business Admin Manager

I have worked in the care sector for many years, I started in my 20s at the Epilepsy Centre in Chalfont St Peter. After a career diversion into retail, and then later as an Administrator with the National Trust, Signature offered me the opportunity to return to the care sector, firstly as an Administrator, then Clinical Administrator and then Residential Care Manager. I later joined a specialist team to implement a new system for the whole of Signature Group, a project I am very proud to have been part of. I am now excited to work at our lovely new home in Farnham Common as a Business Admin Manager and use my qualification in CIPD Level 5 in HR. I look forward to supporting all of my colleagues in their journey at Farnham Common.

I have worked in catering now for nearly 30 years, starting out at a local pub as a waitress, then moving on to be a chef in the RAF, to running my own pubs then going on to work for Heston Blumenthal, Pierre Koffman and Odds Farm as Food and Beverage Manager. I am very passionate about all things food and beverage. I am looking forward to making sure our residents will be well-looked-after and genuinely cared for while delivering a five-star service.

Job Title: Head Chef

I have worked in the food and hospitality industry from an early age. My journey originally started off as a child when on holidays abroad with family with the passion I felt for all of the different cuisines I was fortunate enough to experience along with being at home with my grandparents with traditionally cooked food - trying to help but often just in the way! In 2006, I started working for a gastro-pub company and attended professional culinary school. From here, it began professionally. I spent several years doing this whilst learning what this crazy world of hospitality was all about and I just loved it. I was getting to learn, have fun and cook great recipes. As I developed as a leader and chef, I was appointed to my first position of Head Chef, of which I was very proud. After some time with this group, my culinary journey took me into the independent restaurant world, and it was here where I really started to grow as a personality and Chef and really start to hone my craft. I learnt so much more than just recipes and the balancing of flavours, I learnt everything I needed in life. I have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity of Head Chef with Signature, but what can I say other than I feel privileged to be able to take this fantastic opportunity to meet everyone old and new and make a genuine difference in the residents' lives here in their home, giving them a balanced, nutritious daily diet whilst dropping little treats of naughtiness into their day here and there. You will always find me chatting and getting to know people and just generally enjoying the day.

I am responsible for the health and safety of our residents, team members and visitors. I have had the privilege of working for over 5 years in the care sector. The previous nursing home, where I worked for 4.5 years as a Maintenance Manager, received an outstanding rating from the CQC in all five areas, which I hope to achieve again with our team at Farnham Common. I like helping people live independently and with dignity, despite their age and health, and with our team at Farnham Common we aim to create a homely atmosphere with a safe and happy environment for our residents and their loved ones.
