Mum moved to Wilmslow Manor Care Centre just over 6 weeks ago. She has settled in well. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. Mum enjoys the food, the staff are all caring, patient and polite. Everything seems to be well-run and efficient.

Very user-friendly admission procedure, assessment and admin - done at a personal level. Extremely nice helpful team, wanting to help. My mother is here for respite care and whatever could be done in the circumstances has been.

We chose Wilmslow Manor Care Centre for my mum after she had done 2 weeks of respite care there - we didn’t need to look anywhere else after that, as we knew this was the place for mum. The staff have been excellent. They are caring, as you’d expect, but they go further than this, you can see they have
a vested interest in mum’s happiness and well-being, and also in my family. You really feel part of the home when you visit, and can just slot into whatever they are doing. The ambience of the home is lovely, it feels calm and welcoming (with a hot drink and biscuit always offered!). Nothing ever seems too much effort for the staff, and I know mum is in safe hands. She looks well, enjoys her food, and seeing her smile makes me know we made the right decision in choosing the home. It’s a difficult time making the transition, but the home made it as simple and straightforward as they possibly could, and could not have been more supportive. Thank you to the whole team at Wilmslow Manor - you are amazing!

My father needed respite care following a big operation in February. Wilmslow Manor Care Centre proved to be the perfect place to help him recover and get stronger. The nurses and carers looked after him very well and the chef ensured he was provided with lovely gluten-free meals. I must also say thank
you to the manager and administration staff who ensured the transfer from the hospital went ahead without any problems.

My mother moved into Wilmslow Manor Care Centre one month ago. As you will appreciate this has been a very sad transition for a wonderful vibrant mother and wife. The carers and team leads have helped with this transition treating my mother with respect and care. I would like to recognise one carer
in particular for her amazing care and help to us, also the registered nurse who spent time talking to me with empathy and genuine care and understanding. I discussed with the manager my opinion on fees for care. I live in Toronto, Canada so making sure my mum is settled and my father is happy has been important. The care is my most important priority.

My mother-in-law was looked after for two weeks. Her care was excellent. She was talking better and more aware than when she went in. Food was beautiful. Couldn't find fault at all. She is going to have respite care again as she enjoyed it. The staff were faultless and extremely caring.

Darren Molyneux

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2018

I joined New Care in 2018 after working for 15 years in Residential care. I was previously Deputy Manager and came to New Care as a Senior Care Assistant and then I was promoted to Head of Care in August 2023 I was successful and promoted to Deputy Manager at Grosvenor Manor in Chester, and more recently I have been promoted within New Care as Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor.


Where I am extremely happy and content. Person Centred Care is and always will be a passion of mine and being able to help promote independence and high-quality care always leaves me smiling. New Care is an excellent company to work with and provides residents with excellent care and staff with support and the chance to develop their careers. I have recently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care.

My caring nature fuels my passion for helping others, particularly comforting end-of-life care for our residents. I find fulfilment in making a positive impact on the residents we care for. I have recently completed my level 3 in Adult care which has helped me gain a lot of knowledge in my current role.

I am the Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre. I have worked in Health and Social Care for the past 3.5 years, progressing to the position of Wellbeing Lead. I am a university graduate in Mental Health Nursing and am trained in Namaste Care. I have previously worked in retail as a Sales Manager and am able to use my transferable skills to manage and coordinate all aspects of my role, including creating weekly person centred activity programmes within the home. My passion is care and supporting both residents and their families through their own personal journeys will be key to my new role within New Care.
