Following a fall at home and then hospitalization, my uncle stayed in Greensand for five weeks of respite care. In that time, his overall health improved enormously, and he was well on the way to returning to his old self. I was impressed by the compassionate staff, and he was sad to leave them! He
seemed to enjoy the activities, make friends with other residents, and speak highly of the people who attended to him. He also particularly enjoyed the meals provided, and as he'd been experiencing significant weight loss prior to falling, it was wonderful to hear him talk so enthusiastically about the food, see a return in his appetite and put on some much-needed weight! Every staff member we encountered was warm and friendly, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. It was very reassuring (as I live some distance away) to know he was being cared for so well.

My review is based on telephone calls and a visit to my aunt (I live in the West Midlands). When I've called, the receptionist has always been helpful and with a bright, positive tone to her voice. On visiting, my aunt looked better than before; alert, comfortable, settled and happy. Her clothes were
clean and her hair had been 'done'. Elvis was on the premises! In general, the whole atmosphere was warm, bright, friendly and welcoming. All the residents I saw looked comfortable and happy. A wonderful place.

First impressions were 'what a lovely place'. The decor and warm greeting at reception was more like a hotel than a care home. My grandmother is obviously very happy and her ground room, overlooking the garden, is lovely. She proudly gave me the grand tour of the restaurant, lounge and cinema room,
all beautifully furnished. She also said how good all the meals are and how caring the staff have been towards her.

I found the management of the home excellent which gave me peace of mind. I know my husband had a few reservations regarding a few carers treating him roughly and he did have a few bruises on his legs which he said we due to being handled roughly. I would not hesitate to recommend Greensand House Care
Home in the future.

The carers generally were excellent but on three occasions I felt the handling was rough and the carer was impatient getting me out of the shower causing me to feel unsteady and I was fearful of falling over.

Greensand House is a newly built care home and is well-designed to cater for all its residents. The staff and the facilities are excellent. The home is well managed and nothing is too much trouble. The food/menu is top class as are the activities. I have great confidence in leaving my Mother in the

I cannot fault the care and attention my mother-in-law has received at Greensand House Care Home. The staff are amazing, thoughtful and caring, and nothing is too much trouble for the care of residents. The individual bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, and the meals are well-balanced and

We moved Mum from another care home as she was not happy there. From the moment we took Mum to have a look around we were blown away. It's as if you are walking into a five-star hotel, not a care home. The facilities and the rooms are amazing. All the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Mum is
one very happy lady now. The meals are excellent also. I have joined Mum for a couple of lunches already and was very impressed.

Generally, I have been very pleased with the thoughtfulness and care given to my aunt since her coming to Greensands. It has been a big relief knowing that she is well looked after. Her diet is carefully monitored and she does appreciate it, I know! I love the way she has motivation and enjoys joining
in with the activities.

My father of 92 was a resident of Greensand House Care Home from March 2023 until mid May 2023.
We had hoped not to put my father into a care environment but when his needs exceeded our ability to manage him at home we had no other option.
The care my father received was exceptional in every way.
Sadly my father died in the early hours of May 15th whilst still at Greensand House. His palliative needs were met with compassion and dignity.
I was privileged to be with my father whilst he was dying and I was also extremely well supported and all my needs were met by the caring staff at Greensand.
I would highly recommend Greensand House.

My friend stayed at Greensand for several weeks of respite following a short stay in hospital. On admission, every effort was made to make him feel “at home” and his needs were quickly assessed to help him settle in easily. All members of staff have shown a very caring and involved attitude and he quickly
came to regard them as friends, rather than carers and, more importantly, he trusted their advice and suggestions. The facilities and environment are excellent and he greatly enjoyed his walks around the garden areas. The food on offer he found very much to his liking, tasty and inviting and having seen and tasted some of the choices, I have to agree with him. His appearance and general state of health improved vastly during his stay, as commented on by several of his visitors, and we are confident that the care and assistance he has received at Greensand have fully prepared him for a return home.

We visited our neighbour today who is staying to recover from a very nasty fall. The welcome was very pleasant, we were shown to his fabulous ensuite room. The staff were all very nice, caring and available. We were very impressed overall.

From the first encounter to the present, I have felt the team work exceptionally well together and provided a united and very warm welcome, not just to Dad (the resident) but also to his family. The standard of the facilities is second to none and very comfortable. Food and hygiene also are excellent.
So happy he was accepted as a resident, will recommend it for sure.

My mum has been a resident for nearly two months. The staff are very kind and helpful and also make visitors welcome. The environment is lovely, very comfortable and tasteful. Mum's room is large with her own wet room and bathroom. She is particularly enjoying the food which is down to the lovely menu
and choices provided and Mum has put on a bit of weight which I never thought I would see. She also enjoys the activities particularly music and dancing. I am very happy with Greensand House.

My brother seems to have settled in very well and is well cared for. The food is excellent, and he has gained little weight. The staff seem to be very caring, and nothing is too much trouble. He is also making friends with other people.

My wife came to Greensand House Care Home at short notice due to my being admitted to the hospital. She has advanced dementia. She was welcomed with open arms and throughout her two-week stay was treated with genuine warmth and care. Much trouble was taken to treat her as an individual and to stimulate
her. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Her room was delightful and comfortable but she only sleep there as every effort was made to entertain her in the splendid public rooms. When I collected her, I noticed how much more stimulated she was and I honestly think she wanted to stay on! Absolutely full marks to the staff at Greensand House for a wonderful job.

I cannot praise the care and attentiveness of the wonderful Greensand team highly enough. They've provided exemplary respite care for my mother whilst my father was in the hospital.
The whole experience was so special, I'm not sure she wants her time with new friends to end!

Greensand House is brand new, only opening its doors very recently. It is very stylish and comfortable, much more in keeping with a hotel than a care home. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the facilities very good with all that you would expect plus a private cinema and a private dining
room available to book. Our experience to date is that my aunt is being very well cared for, including consideration given to her diet to take account of particular health issues. Having dined there myself I can confirm that the food is excellent! I highly recommend Greensand House.

My name is Karen. I am the General Manager at Greensand House. I am an experienced Manager having worked in the voluntary sector managing Substance Misuse Services in the community in West Sussex before focusing on Quality and Governance in the sector, primary and secondary care and residential and supported living services for adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
I started my journey in health and social care at 15 years old working in a residential home at weekends before supporting adults with physical and learning disabilities in the community as a support worker after a brief period working in a bank. I was one of the youngest people employed in a special care unit by Surrey County Council back in 1986. I bought up my two daughters before returning as a young single mum to education whilst working in a home from hospital team delivering high intensity short term support in order to get people discharged from the wards and back at home. I gained my Honours degree BSc in Psychology and quickly worked my way up the ranks into a senior management position in the voluntary sector.
I am passionate about everyone’s right to good quality care and this drives my focus on high standards and aiming for excellence.
I lead from the front and am very hands on. I love seeing the impact myself and my team can have on the wellbeing of our residents. The smallest details can have the biggest impact in someone’s life. I am energetic, passionate and driven. I love the energy and atmosphere here at Greensand House. We have a fabulous team here as well as wonderful residents and families. I am excited about the future at Greensand and as always strive for the best, we can dream better and bigger in service to our residents.

My name is Hannah and I am the Deputy Manager and in-house trainer here at Greensand House.


I have been in the care sector for 10 years now and have loved every minute of it. I believe having compassion and empathy is very important within my job role. I started working with Avery in 2023 and have felt so proud to work with my team at Greensand House. As the Residential Care Manager, I ensure that all care staff are supported within their roles whilst ensuring our residents are receiving high-quality care. I also work very closely with the Team Leaders and assist with all aspects of the care sector including care plans, medication management, reviews, audits and much more. As the in-house trainer, I ensure all staff are fully trained with up-to-date information and knowledge to carry out their job roles effectively.

With over 30 years of experience in the catering industry, I decided to move into the care sector with the opening of Greensand House in 2022. Having previously worked in various positions in London and Surrey, including Junior Sous Chef at the Dorchester Hotel, Second Chef at Rolls-Royce Headquarters, and Head Chef at a number of restaurants and gastro pubs, I knew I would enjoy cooking in the care industry.


At Greensand House I am dedicated to providing the best quality catering, and enjoy tailoring my menus to the tastes and requirements of all our Greensand residents. Drawing on my previous experience as a dietary and nutrition chef at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington and Charring Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, I create nutritious meals presented to the highest quality.


You won’t just find me in the kitchen though, one of my favourite aspects of my role is the interaction with all our residents and making them smile. I look forward to welcoming (and feeding!) many more residents at Greensand House.

Hello, my name is Steve, I am the Head Housekeeper at Greensand House in Redhill.


I have been the Head Housekeeper at Greensand House since August 2022 and previously worked as an assistant housekeeper in a care home environment so have gained valuable knowledge over the last 7 years.


We have a fantastic housekeeping team with many years of experience, not only in Housekeeping but also care. They are a proactive, fun team and have already received much praise for their work.


On a personal note, I absolutely love working at Greensand and having daily interactions with the residents is what I really enjoy. I have three children and a crazy French bulldog called Rocco so when I’m not at work I’m always kept busy.


Greensand House is a beautiful new home with a friendly, caring, and supportive team throughout.

My name is Marina. I am the Head of Recreation and Leisure at Greensand House. I have worked in Nursing/Care Homes since 2007. I worked for big, well-known companies and small homes. Before starting at Greensand House, I was the leading Lifestyle coordinator in a dementia-specialised care home for two years.


I gained experience and knowledge in the care sector by working in different departments and I have completed my NVQ qualification with City & Guilds and special dementia-related courses. I am passionate about providing activities that benefit the well-being of our residents, ensuring that meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities are planned and implemented in the Home for all residents.


The focus of my work is to put the happiness, comfort, and safety of our residents first. I am committed to delivering and creating a wide range of activities to suit each person’s abilities, from physical to mental stimulating games, ensuring the best quality of life for all our residents. Seeing residents smile, laugh and enjoy the life in the home makes my day!

My name is Davide Borges and I am the Maintenance Operative at Greensand House Care Home.


I have been working at Greensand House since August 2022. I love my role, as no two days are the same! One minute l am an electrician, then next a plumber, then a painter & decorator apart of all other things l do!


An important part of my role is the very good relationship I have with the residents, relatives and the staff. I also enjoy driving the minibus and taking the residents on a trip, so they can enjoy all the beautiful places we have around.

Hi there, my name is Shannon, I am the Customer Service Assistant in reception at Greensand House.


I will be here to meet and greet you and help with any enquiries you may have.


I have been at this beautiful home since November 2023 and I am very proud to work here with my wonderful team, providing the best quality of care. I come from a care background both personally and professionally and it is most rewarding.


I have recently also joined the Well-being team part-time, which I am very excited about being a part of. Ensuring we can bring meaningful activities to the resident's day and to have that engagement. The resident's well-being is such an important part of their day to day. I am proud to be part of that with my team.
