I can't speak highly enough about Signature Caversham. From the moment my husband, who is living with dementia, moved in, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders knowing he was in such capable and compassionate hands.
The staff are truly wonderful, patient, understanding, and so attentive to his needs.
They take the time to get to know him, engage him in activities he enjoys and creating a routine that makes him feel comfortable and secure. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and feels like a real home.
The team keeps me informed about his wellbeing, whether it's a quick call or an update during my visits, I always feel included in his care. It's clear they understand the challenges of dementia, not just for the residents but for their families too.
The activities available are fantastic, he enjoys the music therapy sessions and time in the garden. Seeing him smile and hearing him laugh again has been such a gift. The staff's dedication and genuine care shine through every day.

Mum came to Signature for respite care initially. The quality of care and stimulation of activities have proved to us that this really is the best place for Mum to be. We are always made very welcome no matter when we visit. Mum is thriving with the attentive care being given, the food and having
fun with trips out and visitors to the home. As her daughter, I no longer need to worry about her - my visits are always a pleasure.

Staff are friendly, caring, approachable and take time to get to know the resident and their families. Personally Signature at Caversham take responsibility for organising medication and spot if a resident becomes unwell making sure they get medical attention straightaway. The food and accommodation
is outstanding, entertainment to in rich all different personalities. The home has a family feel and a warmth to help ease transition between home life and care home.

Signature is such a lovely and friendly home. From the moment you walk in the door, you are made to feel welcome. The live entertainment is great, and the staff encourages my mum who loves to sing and dance to join in which doesn't take much persuasion. The care she has received has been outstanding.

5 weeks respite after a complex hip operation. Chosen as close to home, friends and daily physiotherapy. The staff was extremely caring and friendly. Could not be faulted. Facilities are extremely good except for the main floor public toilets, not suitable for my condition of limited weight bearing.
But the food and menu let everything down. Food ranges from good to very poor. Dishes are sometimes not as listed (Creme Brulee without crunchy top) and sometimes flavourless (e.g. lemon). Menus dull, vegetarian and meat pies and stirfried vegetables with or without meat.

Very friendly and professional staff, especially management and nurse supervisor. Nurses and carers are super friendly. Managers and nurse supervisors dealt with difficult situations efficiently, fairly, firmly, professionally and with care.
Quality, decor and layout of the building are smart and
modern. The food was not very varied and could have had more choice and variety on any given day.
45 minutes average waiting time from pressing the call button to getting assistance for going to the toilet or getting a wheelchair to a meal or back to the room is way too long.

In late June my mother had a fall one night and banged her head. The Signature nurse on duty was quick to phone me and advise what had happened and that an ambulance had been called. They again phoned to confirm that she had been taken to hospital. Fortunately, after a few nights in hospital, she was
well enough to return. We are so grateful that the staff took such good care of my mother, that night, as well as every day. My wife and I are able to sleep at night knowing she is in good hands and is being well looked after.

It was a difficult time caring for my mother at home with progressive Dementia with care visits during the day but unfortunately, after a fall at home she was admitted to the hospital and I knew I had to increase her care. The staff at The Signature Care home in Caversham were absolutely fantastic,
in giving reassurance to me and my mother that she would be looked after and we haven't been disappointed. Thank you for the kindness and social interaction she needs.

My father moved into Signature in December 2023 after a hospital stay. We had initially planned for it to be a respite stay but it was clear that he could no longer live independently. Signature at Caversham is the most wonderful place. The facilities, food and entertainment are superb. The staff are
warm, caring, and positive and work incredibly hard. Nothing has been too much trouble for the team and my Father has had the most wonderful care. Sadly after an accident my father needed end-of-life care and the team at Signature offered to provide this so that he did not have to stay in hospital. I am overwhelmed at how wonderfully my Father was cared for in his final days and also how well I was looked after with every from the managers, carers, nurses, cleaners, physio, reception, and chef checking I was OK and if I needed anything. I cannot recommend Signature highly enough and will be forever grateful for the care that my lovely father had in recent months and during his final days.

I cannot fault the care, service and attention I received from the moment I arrived at Signature Caversham to the moment I left. Professional but kind and attentive staff. The physio was superb, I was shown exercises that helped me to walk again following my knee replacement operation. The facilities
are excellent and I made use of the hair salon, I was even allowed to have my own hairdresser in. I 100% recommend.

When I first went to Signature to visit my oldest and dearest friend I was struck by how lucky to be able to end your days in the best of the best of care homes. I know it was brand new and my father was in a brand new place but it was cold and uncaring. The staff at Signature really care and makes
everyone feel special with their napkins, flowers on the table and drinks on tap. It's always spotless and I just hope you all keep it up as it's one great place.

My mum has been a resident since December 2023 on the dementia wing. She is treated and looked after with love, respect, care, compassion and empathy. All the staff are absolutely amazing to not only my beloved mum but me also. Going through this dementia journey with my mum has been the hardest thing
ever but it's a real family atmosphere at Signature Caversham and you feel incredibly supported by the team.
The activities on offer to the resdent are amazing, there is always something to do and me and Mum sometimes do these together so I am making some cherished memories from doing these. The food is five-star as is the decor in the nursing home I cannot recommend Signature at Caversham enough and I wouldn'y want Mum anywhere else.

We thoroughly recommend the home. My father moved here aged 100 years. Daddy has constantly said how excellent the staff are. They are attentive, respectful and so kind. The atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming for all the family, while also understanding of all complex needs. Above all this, Daddy
loves the decor of the place and she has been able to join in activities that he wouldn't have been at home.

My mother is currently staying with this excellent home and she, I and her son-in-law are beyond impressed and delighted with the care she is receiving, the facilities, the food and surroundings but above all the exceptional kindness and patience with which we are all received and treated - as a relative
it can be a stressful time, and the manageress, receptionists, clinical manager and staff have made every effort to welcome us and to cater to my mother's rather complicated needs and physical situation. The premises are luxurious like a cruise ship, the atmosphere happy and friendly, lots going on to include and entertain everyone, creature comforts amply supplied and personal needs carefully looked after. Can't praise everyone involved highly enough.

My career in care started in 2009 after graduating from University with a Psychology degree, and I have been a Manager of residential and nursing homes since 2013. I am passionate about enabling residents to continue to live their lives as they did in their own homes. I also love being involved in the day-to-day running of a home, working alongside the team and getting to know our residents and their loved ones. I joined Signature in March 2021, attracted to the ethos of care and how our residents are encouraged to maintain the lifestyle they wish to lead. We have a real focus on resident wellbeing, with each resident enjoying a personalised level of care within a beautiful, well-kept home.

I am the first point of contact for both seniors and their loved ones enquiring about care options. I started at Signature Caversham as a Receptionist in 2023 and I’m thrilled to say that I became the Client Liaison Coordinator in 2024. My background is in the early years sector, most of which I worked as a day nursery manager. I decided to switch careers in 2018 and spent eight wonderful years at Weight Watchers before applying to Signature. In my current role, I’m privileged to support individuals and their loved ones from their first interaction with our home and throughout their journey with us. I started my career in care in 2013 as a Care Assistant and then progressed to Residential Care Manager, where I have fulfilled this role in two other Signature homes. I am privileged to be part of an amazing team and to be able to work together to cultivate a stimulating and varied lifestyle for our residents. I have been working as part of Signature since 2017 in a variety of roles, starting as a Team Leader before qualifying as a Nurse. I then progressed to Nursing Care Manager and more recently have been appointed as Clinical Services Manager here at Caversham. Having worked in the care sector for all my career, I would not imagine myself doing anything else. I am passionate about ensuring high standards of care and delivering peace of mind to our residents and their loved ones. I’m David, hailing from the (small but mighty!) town of Drogheda in Ireland. I’ve been a chef for as long as I can remember - literally, the second I left school and picked up a knife, I haven’t put it down since! I’ve had the pleasure of cooking in hotels, private schools, for a blue-chip company, as well as my own luxury dining business. Over the years, I’ve learned that good food is about balancing flavours and really understanding who you’re cooking for. Cooking is my creative outlet and I’m all about creating bespoke menus because life’s too short for bad food! I’m genuinely excited to cook for such an important crowd. After all, the residents that we are serving raised us, so it’s only fair they get the finest dining experience as a thank you.
