Signature at Caversham staff and facilities are outstanding. My father, who has advanced dementia, is treated so well, and it is clear to me he is in a better place at Signature than what could be provided at home. He appears happier now and less restless. He enjoys the good food and participates in
the many activities arranged on a daily basis, such as gardening, painting, outings etc. Signature has my full recommendation.

My mother was taken to Signature care home to spend her remaining days of
her life. On the occasions of visiting, I found the staff to be extremely helpful
and very caring about the condition of my mother. I was kept informed
about her condition at all times, and at the end of her life, everything
was
well taken care of - excellent care all-round.

I have two types of cancer and a number of lung infections. I spent eight weeks in the hospital. When I was told I could go home, I was not well enough to look after myself. After a lot of research, my family found the Signature rest home. They offer full nursing care to help with my continued improvement.
I had lost a great deal of weight and needed a high-protein diet. The head chef has been great at offering me a variety of meals to help. This was not easy as one of the cancers was in my throat, making some foods unpalatable. The home also has access to local health services, which have been great. I have found my fellow residents to be friendly and welcoming.
They also offer a variety of entertainments both in the home and off sight. The staff are attentive and friendly, and nothing seems to be much for them.

My brother moved into Signature at Caversham in February. All of the staff were exceptionally helpful in making this process go as smoothly as possible. Support was on offer before and throughout the move. My brother has settled in well and is very happy here. The decor in the home is beautiful, and
the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. All of the staff have made a real effort to spend time getting to know my brother and understand his needs. It is lovely that the activities coordinator is tailoring quizzes and videos that are of interest to him.
The nursing staff keep me informed of any changes or when he is seen by the GP.
As a family, we are relieved that he is now getting the care and support he needs and that he is so happy to be here.

My relative has recently moved into the home at Caversham - never an easy thing to do, but all the staff were really helpful.
Anytime I had a problem or just an issue I was anxious about, they were quick to help.
Lovely staff who seem to care deeply about residents.
I have total peace of mind as
I know they will be looked after.
The restaurant is excellent, and I enjoy meals there as visitors are encouraged to spend time with residents.
I’m impressed.

My husband has dementia and went to Signature Caversham Care Home for respite care. With incredibly caring staff on hand at all times he settled in really quickly and seems very happy there. We soon decided to extend his stay. The home is beautiful inside with so much thought having gone into the design,
layout, colour schemes, furnishings and decoration. It is light, open and airy. I particularly like the ease of access to secure outside spaces. My husband thinks he is a five-star hotel! The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and the well-being and happiness of the residents are absolutely foremost in everything they do. There is a varying programme of activities which ensures that the residents are both entertained and stimulated all the time, at the appropriate level. I know that my husband is secure, well looked after, well fed, entertained and treated with respect and kindness and I am kept regularly updated as to his progress. A huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

My father moved into Signature at Caversham Care Home at the end of January, in their opening week. The team have all been extremely welcoming and has helped my father to quickly settle into his new home.
My father has dementia and other medical conditions that need careful management. The team at
Signature have been extremely supportive and has taken on his care with the same personal touch that was previously provided by family members. The team's expert knowledge of the medical options available and close links to community resources have enabled Signature to provide quicker responses and more detailed timely assessments and treatments.
The atmosphere in Signature is a very happy, positive space, and the staff are all very engaging. This is evident from all aspects, from management, through facilities, catering and activities to the care and nursing teams. The team keep a close link to family and works collaboratively with us to ensure my father is happy and thriving.

Really impressed by both the professionalism and the warmth of this new team. My dad was one of the first residents at the new facility and he has taken to it like a duck to water. Dad has heart failure and associated vascular dementia but is still active and engaged and he was really suffering from
a lack of activity and contact at home. He's engaging in all the activities, is well-dressed, fed and happy, and benefiting so much from the social interaction. The unexpected bonus for us was the all-around nursing care, from checking his BP daily to liaising with his GP to conducting a blood test if it is needed. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

The whole team at Signature at Caversham have been fantastic throughout the entire process of moving my grandmother, the care has been exceptional and the family have been kept informed every step of the way. The welcoming staff on visits really make the experience a lovely enjoyable one. It's so lovely
to enjoy a visit without any worry, in the few short weeks of fantastic care we have seen a huge health improvement and hope to enjoy the wonderful facilities for many many years.

My career in care started in 2009 after graduating from University with a Psychology degree, and I have been a Manager of residential and nursing homes since 2013. I am passionate about enabling residents to continue to live their lives as they did in their own homes. I also love being involved in the day-to-day running of a home, working alongside the team and getting to know our residents and their loved ones. I joined Signature in March 2021, attracted to the ethos of care and how our residents are encouraged to maintain the lifestyle they wish to lead. We have a real focus on resident wellbeing, with each resident enjoying a personalised level of care within a beautiful, well-kept home.

I’m David, hailing from the (small but mighty!) town of Drogheda in Ireland. I’ve been a chef for as long as I can remember - literally, the second I left school and picked up a knife, I haven’t put it down since! I’ve had the pleasure of cooking in hotels, private schools, for a blue-chip company, as well as my own luxury dining business. Over the years, I’ve learned that good food is about balancing flavours and really understanding who you’re cooking for. Cooking is my creative outlet and I’m all about creating bespoke menus because life’s too short for bad food! I’m genuinely excited to cook for such an important crowd. After all, the residents that we are serving raised us, so it’s only fair they get the finest dining experience as a thank you.
