Wilton Place, in Wilton, the Ancient Capital of Wessex, is a purpose built care home delivering high-quality residential care, and care and support for individuals living with dementia.

The community is broken up into small units that provide a family feel, helping people to feel safe and comfortable. Services are based on independence, dignity and choice, supported by a person-centred approach to care.

The home resembles a five star hotel and features 66 en-suite bedrooms, beautiful lounges and dining rooms, a Bistro, Bar and Cinema room along with Spa Bathrooms and a Hair Salon.

Residential care provides a luxurious, warm, welcoming environment, with delicious home cooked meals and stimulating daily activities. Each activity is designed to enhance life skills and give a feeling of purpose and self-worth, encouraging residents to choose whether to continue with existing hobbies or try something new.

The home has a specialist Memory Lane Community, for those living with dementia. This utilises a careful blend of techniques and skills developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, with person-centred design incorporated into its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home. Residents living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help support interactions, preserve life skills, and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.

My grandmother has just moved in and is really pleased with the facilities and quality of care. Lovely building with great staff and food. Was really nice coming in for the first time and seeing my grandmother enjoying a Ukulele band for afternoon entertainment. Would highly recommend Wilton Place care
home and feel happy knowing my family member will be in good hands.

My dad had deteriorated in all aspects of self-care after several hospital stays in the past year. It was as if he had given up on all things living. I to needed a break from the constant house visits and constant cleaning around him.
The first couple of days were indeed bumpy, to say the least, but
the team at Barchester quickly responded. My dad's medication was completely reviewed and the correct dosage was then administered. It was as if somebody had switched something on inside as his whole total outlook on life changed immediately. He socialised with other residents and thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and interactions. I haven't seen my dad this positive in many years. We have booked him in again for a stay in July whilst he moves house.
I really couldn't recommend this care home and the team enough. Whilst a little expensive it's probably been the best thing we have spent money on in recent years.
5 stars from me.

My grandma recently moved into Memory Lane having been cared for at home 24/7 by her family, initially, this was for respite but she settled really quickly and enjoys sitting in the large windows to look out at the trees, birds, train line and garden. There is a great choice of food and she enjoys the
dining room experience. The staff have been great in helping us to help her to settle and we have been welcomed to share information and work with the team which has led to a much smoother transition than we could have hoped for. I feel that the staff do know Grandma in just a few short weeks. In her time there she has bounced back from serious illness and this is in part due to their diligence and communication with us and the doctor. Her respite stay has now been made permanent because she is happy and we are reassured that she is getting excellent care.

Wilton Place Care Home is a warm, inviting, excellent care home. My father moved in December 2022, following a stay at another local care home, to be closer to me and also because the facilities far exceeded where he was staying previously. The staff have been utterly amazing at helping him settle,
always listening to feedback and queries and dealing with them in a timely manner. The care staff are friendly, professional and kind. Everyone goes out of their way to make him feel at home and are welcoming to family visiting. The facilities are immaculate, as to be expected for a new home but specifically the rooms large and airy, the furniture of high quality, the restaurant inviting and the food very good. There are great activities and the coordinator makes a great effort to ask residents what they would like to have put in place. It's lovely joining my dad for lunch or dinner at the home or stopping in for a coffee. His health and well-being have noticeably improved since he moved in.

Since my husband died in March 2022, my daughter has been my main support. I booked 2 weeks respite care so as to have 24-hour care. I am generally in good health and mobile but I don't feel safe to stay on my own at home. All the staff were very welcoming on my arrival. I settled in as I became familiar
with the daily routine. The food was excellent, I enjoyed the activities, especially the visit by the school children, the jazz and knit and natter. The location of Wilton Place is very familiar to me because my husband's office was in Erskine Barracks in the 1970's. I will be happy to return to Wilton Place for a respite stay when the need arises. I have already recommended Wilton Place to friends and neighbours in Wilton.

I came to Wilton Place 48 hours after a total shoulder replacement for 2weeks of respite care and it's been marvellous. Hotel accommodation plus very kind staff, giving me just the right level of help and care, with washing dressing etc until I was able to do it all for myself. And very nice touches
such as a welcome card and flowers in my room on arrival.

My mother has settled into Wilton Place Care Home quickly and is comfortable, confident and happy. The staff are warm and caring, and responsive to her needs and my comments and questions. The home is brand new and furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The food is genuinely superb! There
are not many residents yet, but the activities programme is up and running and it was lovely to attend a family Italian night this week, with food, wine and live music - everybody from my two-year-old to my 90-year-old mother had a great time! We are very happy with our choice for Mum.

My parents came to stay for Christmas, and my mum wasn't feeling well and ended up being admitted to the hospital. This left us managing Dad, who needs significant care, whilst also trying to visit Mum and support her. We needed some temporary respite care, so visiting the five best care homes in Salisbury
and Wilton Place was by far our 1st choice. The facilities and set-up are extraordinary and the local nursing and administrative staff are so kind and lovely. The food is fantastic. Very sadly, my mum died suddenly on 5th January and my dad wants to try living at home in Essex again with a live-in career. However, if that doesn't work or his needs become too much, we will definitely be back. Meanwhile, the administrative team have been so flexible and supportive of our fast-moving situation. I couldn't recommend Wilton Place more highly.

I have been working in luxury care homes for over 9 years and I am passionate about delivering fantastic care, within beautiful environments. I have over 20 years of management experience in nursing and dementia care.


Here at Wilton Place, our residents are able to access a full suite of life-enriching activities as well as continue their lives as part of the wider community in Wilton

She is often the first person a resident sees in the morning as knocks on the door with their morning cup of tea and a cheery greeting.


Tina ensures residents enjoy a luxury dining experience at every meal time and enjoy delicious beverages and cakes in our Bistro throughout the day.
