TYPES OF CARE

RESIDENTIAL
A lot of care home residents are perfectly able to live alone, but with extra help on hand for the day-to-day tasks, it frees up so much time to enjoy the company of others and to explore new pastimes and revisit existing interests. There is a great sense of wellbeing from living in a happy community, and you are guaranteed that at Jubilee House.

DEMENTIA
For those residents living with memory loss, the focus is on enabling them to continue living as well as they are able. It is often surprising to the families of residents with dementia how much of a difference living in an environment which is totally committed to them makes. With dedicated support and with their individuality championed, it is a weight off the mind of most families.

NURSING
Specialist, round-the-clock nursing care means that residents need not worry about moving out of the home should their needs change while living at the home. The dedicated nurses care for nursing residents night and day, and residents’ freedom of choice and independence is always supported and encouraged, regardless of changing medical needs.

RESPITE CARE
For residents who are looked after at home or elsewhere, just like the home's carers, theirs will need a break at some point, to be able to continue to offer the best care they can. The same services permanent residents receive are available, but simply on a short-term basis. Jubilee House offers a two week minimum respite stay where you can sample the care and lifestyle that is available. Many residents also like to try respite care before committing to living at the home full time.

Two weeks following a shoulder replacement. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Disappointed that a particular TV channel was not available and no mention of films in the cinema. No lift working for four days if the cinema was available.
Food times were not good when used to eating 1-2 hours
later.
The care home was very convenient with a lovely garden and extremely pleasant seating areas.

Thank you for your honest review. Sadly, one of the lifts did require a replacement part during your stay but there are 2 lifts in the home and the second one could have been used if it was required. The cinema is available at all times so I am sorry that wasn't clear, I will speak to the events team about regular scheduled showings being added to the activity plan for clarity. I am so sorry to hear the mealtimes didn't suit you, had the team have known your preference to eat later than 12:30 for lunch and 5:30pm for supper our chef would have been happy to make a separate arrangement for you, especially given your short time with us. All of your feedback is very helpful and we will use this to ensure we are continuously improving our offering to our residents. Do take care of that shoulder. Warm regards Ann-Marie.

The difference in Mum since she moved to Jubilee House is amazing. She is well nourished, clean and cared for and so much happier. She loves her daily chats with the staff and cheeky homemade biscuits!
As relatives we are welcomed with smiles, it really does feel like we are part of the Jubilee House
family.

I spent two weeks respite care at Jubilee House soon after it opened and really enjoyed my stay.
A good sized room with en-suite facilities, plenty of storage and power points.
All the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I was treated kindly and respectfully. I have some physical disabilities
which the care staff quickly came to understand and manage.
The food is lovely, be prepared to gain weight!
I would highly recommend Jubilee House and look forward to regular future visits.

Wonderful welcome to a beautiful home. Dad was immediately made comfortable and quickly settled in. Staff friendly and caring and Dad was returned home after his respite, refreshed and happy.
