Watermead Rose is a bespoke new care home, designed and equipped to deliver exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, respite and bariatric care.

With luxurious en-suite accommodation for up to 80 residents set across three floors, the beautiful home features superb facilities throughout, creating an environment that’s conducive to wellbeing.

Well known for embracing diversity, MACC Care hope to establish a community at Watermead Rose which reflects the wider Leicester community and welcomes residents from all walks of life. The team are respectful of all beliefs and lifestyle choices and the home offers a multi-faith room for prayer, meditation and times of quiet contemplation.

The home has two separate kitchens, one specifically dedicated to preparing vegetarian and vegan meals, allowing the kitchen team to meet all dietary requirements and preferences. Wherever possible, the team work with fresh ingredients sourced from nearby Belgrave Road’s ‘Golden Mile’.

Very pleased with the care given to my father-in-law. The staff are all excellent and very friendly and approachable. We find the atmosphere in the home very relaxing and calm and always makes a somewhat difficult situation much more bearable.

My father-in-law was brought into Watermead Rose to receive end-of-life care and support. Absolutely can't fault this place at all. All of his needs were met with exceptional care and quality. Myself and family were supported wonderfully too. Can't say thank you enough.

My dad was in Watermead Rose for end-of-life care, all the staff I came into contact with was helpful, kind and supportive. One of his nurses was outstanding! She took time to see if myself and my wife were ok. She even had time to see if we were eating and drinking as we stopped by my dad's bedside
for his last 48 hours. Thank you very much.

We have been to many care homes, but this one comes out on top. From the moment one enters they are greeted by a warm welcome. Every single staff is very pleasant and well-trained. We are so impressed by the cleanliness and care, that we also thought of joining here.
This care home is well-supervised
and managed.
Food here is excellent, my father-in-law is very happy.

My dad was admitted three weeks ago for end-of-life care. The room was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking availability was much appreciated. During my dad's final 48 hours, the staff were caring and sympathetic which was much appreciated. The use of the lounge area
during those final hours and after provided relief. It is just a shame my dad didn't get to make the most of the facilities and surroundings.

The place is like a 5 star hotel (minus a swimming pool).
The staff are all very kind and very attentive.
We are so lucky that we have found such a wonderful nursing home for my mother.

My parents have been in Watermead Rose care home for 6 weeks and they have been looked after so well. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for my parents. I would highly recommend this care home.
The food is good, the rooms are clean. They are treated like family.

Previously poor experiences of carehomes for my sister who has complex needs. Kind, patient and professional staff who have helped to make my sister feel settled. My family were so anxious and now we have optimism that my sister can find some peace and happiness again. Our whole family (including my
dog) feel welcomed and supported. Thank you all. Oh, and the home itself is beautiful! Rated activities as satisfactory - not because of any fault. My sister hasn't been able to leave her room yet. The staff do provide activities for her, but she hasn't been able to access activities beyond her room yet. This should change soon!

What a wonderful care home. Although Mum was only in residence for around 3 months before she passed, I can not fault the level of care she received. Not only is the home beautiful and spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly, attentive and in constant contact with you regarding any health updates.
Mum was very low in mood when she arrived, having been moved a couple of times from other homes and had various rashes and sores, but within a couple of weeks of arriving, had been treated successfully for these and her mood improved dramatically. She loved the home and the staff who treated her with the utmost respect and dignity at all times and I only wish the home had been open around 3 years ago when I was first looking for a home for her. I will miss visiting the home now and feel the staff were more friends than just carers. I can't recommend this home highly enough!

When we arrived at Watermead Rose with my Mum and sister, we looked at each other and said 'Wow, this is amazing'. Straight away the staff made you feel welcome which was really good. The customer service was 10/10 amazing.

My husband has only just moved into Watermead Rose Nursing Home so I can only give my thoughts for the four days that my husband has been there. From the minute that my dad arrived at Watermead Rose Nursing Home, I felt that he was really cared for. All members of staff treated him with kindness, care and understanding. They really want to get to know my dad and are aware of his needs. Dad settled really well and this has helped me and my family

From my experiences when visiting grandma the staff were very accommodating for us and caring, they understood we were there to see her as much as we could around our work schedules. Sometimes meaning we came in the evening time. Often offering us cups of tea. Allowed a large group of us in the room
(family who don't see each other often) On the day she died they couldn't do enough for us and reassured us she was comfy to the end.

My grandma has been a resident here for a few months. Her mobility has been declining over the last year following a fall, and we've found it increasingly more difficult to care for her properly at home. After a stint at another care home, we were shocked at the standard of some homes in the area and
were determined to find somewhere she could call home as well as provide her with the care she needs. Watermead is perfect for her. Good location so we can visit easily, the bedrooms are stunning and the staff are all fantastic. She's very happy there.

My grandma was only at Watermead for a couple of weeks, but the care she received was exceptional, also we as a family were treated very kindly, nothing was too much trouble, even allowing a large amount of family to visit all at once. I will be eternally grateful for their care and compassion.

Aarti Popat

Job Title: Commissioning Home Manager

Joined: 2021

I started working in the care industry when I was 18, after developing a passion for care due to my mum needing regular hospital care when I was a child.


I have since worked in various different settings gaining skills and experience through each of these settings, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities and young people services.


In recent years I have been a manager of a complex physical disabilities nursing service where I was responsible for improving the CQC rating and then moved on to regional management.


I live with my partner and I have a daughter who is also a nurse in Leeds. When not at work I like long walks with my dogs and getting out and about in the countryside
