I started working in the care industry when I was 18, after developing a passion for care due to my mum needing regular hospital care when I was a child.
I have since worked in various different settings gaining skills and experience through each of these settings, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities and young people services.
In recent years I have been a manager of a complex physical disabilities nursing service where I was responsible for improving the CQC rating and then moved on to regional management.
I live with my partner and I have a daughter who is also a nurse in Leeds. When not at work I like long walks with my dogs and getting out and about in the countryside
