With 70 bedrooms inside the home, each with en suite facilities, as well as carefully designed communal areas and a hair salon, residents have plenty of space to relax and socialise whilst receiving the care they need. The home also offers fully catered restaurants, where trained chefs prepare nutritious and enjoyable meals, catered to residents’ requirements.

Never saw manager after first ten minutes.
Room floor often dusty with rubbish also about, especially under bed, plus dirty floor and toilet.
Some staff (carers and nurses) were lovely and helpful, unfortunately not all. My mother did start to settle and engage in activities and was building relationships
with some staff which was lovely to see.
Unfortunately, a very mixed bag of an experience.

Well, my partner has only been in for four days, so it is a bit early to seek my opinion of the home, but from what I have seen, if I needed to place to recover I would love to be patient in Grappenhall Manor Care Centre.

Cannot put into words how amazing this home is! My mum has been here for a few weeks after a really bad fall. The care and dedication given to all residents is first-class. Nothing is too much trouble. The activities, the food, the dignity and the cleanliness is exemplary. The staff are approachable
and Mum said they are amazing with everyone. Cannot thank everyone enough, especially the fact it's been Christmas and New Year. Highly recommend Grappenhall Manor 100%.

Both of my parents were some of the first residents at Grappenhall Manor. The level of care they received was excellent. Every conceivable measure was taken by the staff to allow them to settle in. Unfortunately, my dad passed away after a few months. The staff were so loving and caring to my mum in
the aftermath. She now regards the staff as friends rather than carers. I feel assured that she is in a safe and secure environment where she is happy.

From when we first visited Grappenhall Manor, we couldn't believe what a lovely place it is - it feels like a boutique hotel, decorated with style and attention to detail, which helps minimise the feeling of a nursing home. Ever since Mum moved in there, she has received the loveliest and most caring
attention from all the staff. At all levels, the carers show genuine concern and even affection for Mum. We couldn't ask for more for our 96-year-old mum. There are even daily events to keep the residents entertained and socialising. This is a difficult time for us all, wanting the best for Mum, and seeing her care needs ever increasing. But I can honestly say I don't think we could have done better for her than arranging for her to move to Grappenhall Manor.

The staff at Grappenhall Manor are extremely caring and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are proactive in caring for my mother-in-law and all our requests are followed up quickly. There is a great activity program run by very caring staff.
The building is brand new and it feels a bit like a hotel.
The gardens are beautiful and there are plenty of quality outdoor furnishings. Attention to detail in the garden shows with bird boxes and hedgehog tunnels.
The building is very accessible, no trip hazards with everything being level. Bathrooms are quite spacious.
Overall, Grappenhall Manor feels like a very safe space for my mother-in-law and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to others. The staff really care, and I always feel welcome here.

Dad came to stay at Grappenhall Manor in a respite bed after a stay in the hospital, wow, what a place. My dad was very nervous stepping through those doors as he’s always lived such an independent life, from the moment we walked in we were welcomed with smiles and positivity. Dad is currently staying
on floor one, the staff up there are simply amazing and nothing is too much trouble, Dad is shown care, compassion and empathy. I've only ever seen him be positively encouraged to be the best he can be.
The catering team also need a mention here, the food is always well presented and according to Dad tastes amazing!
The team on there certainly strives to be the best of the 6 C’s.
I would in a heartbeat recommend this home to all. Hopefully, my dad's next step will be home but whatever the outcome is I’m glad he’s experienced such a pleasant stay with you.

Mum moved into Grappenhall Manor 6 months ago and has been cared for so well over the whole period, in every aspect. The lounges, dining room, reception and her own room are beautiful and everyone is so kind and friendly, to her and to all the family. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the
continuity of care (and carers) is comforting for us all. The activities are inclusive and interesting and the lead-up to Christmas and New Year was wonderful with lovely entertainers and parties. My husband and I joined mum at the Christmas party and we all had a lovely time! Unfortunately, mum’s health is declining due to her very advanced age and she is more in need than ever of the amazing levels of care given and that gives us all such peace of mind. Food is good and plentiful. Mum loves homemade soups in particular. Well done to all - from the manager to every level of staff. Thank you.

The entrance reception area is elegant and welcoming. The reception team are welcoming, professional and efficient. All the staff go the extra mile, look smart and professional and if they have problems they seem to leave them behind. The manager is efficient and welcoming. The food is excellent and
the standard of care is very high in my experience.

Grappenhall Manor is the most amazing place. My mum went in following a period in hospital and was very keen to go back to her own home. However, within two weeks of being there, she'd decided that she most definitely wanted to stay. The staff are all amazing, kind, considerate and thoughtful, the home
itself is beautiful and feels more like a four star hotel! Mum can't wait for mealtimes where she joins everyone in the dining room for delicious freshly prepared food, and to socialise with her new-found friends. Having initially not feeling confident enough to take part in the activities, with a bit of gentle encouragement she now looks at her activity list to see what she'll be doing the next day! As well as being glad that my mum is happy, I also love visiting and am made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

Grappenhall Manor is a fantastic facility, and it can only be given a five-star out of five-star rating. Beautiful surroundings, friendly, caring staff, great food and spotlessly clean. There are plenty of events and activities for the residents. They couldn't have looked after my mother any better.

My mum moved into Grappenhall Manor Care Centre in May of this year. As a family, we were concerned about how she would cope with the transition. We need not have worried, Mum is loving being there. We haven't seen her so settled and happy for a long time. The staff go above and beyond to create a caring,
fun and happy environment. The facilities are excellent and the food is healthy, nutritious and tasty. My mum is very happy there.

My mother has been a resident since May 2023 to present. There is nothing negative I can say about Grappenhall Manor, everything is perfect. My mum has the best care in every way. Staff are wonderful. I am updated regularly by the nursing staff regarding my mum's health. Mum is extremely happy and is
enjoying joining in the many activities and the regular day trips out to local attractions.

My husband spent two weeks respite care at Grappenhall Manor Care Home. He seemed to settle in well, although he has dementia. The staff all seemed very helpful and friendly, particularly when it came to looking often his diabetic injections etc. The home was new and well decorated, light and airy with
a lovely garden behind it. In all, I felt relieved that my husband was being well looked after and would recommend the care home to anyone who needed it.

Charlotte Sherrocks

Job Title: Home Manger

Joined: 2022

I’m Charlotte Sherrocks and I have worked in the health and social care since leaving education qualifying as a registered nurse in 1996. My N.H.S. ward experience was gained in general medicine, trauma and orthopaedics. I also hold a BSc Health and Social Care degree, mentoring, management and clinical qualifications.


I left the N.H.S. and joined the private sector where I have undertaken roles including that of General Manager, Clinical Services Manage, Clinical Development Nurse and Regional Support Manager. These opportunities have given me a wealth of knowledge and vast experience in the care of older adults. My passion is to deliver high-quality standards and a person-centred, individualised approach to care.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cinema and going to the gym.

Job Title: Wellbeing Coordinator

I have worked as a well-being coordinator for a number of years and loved every second. At University I studied dance and for one of my modules, I looked at how dance can benefit people living with dementia. That was when I knew what career path I wanted to follow. I want to make sure everyone is able to have fun and look forward to what is on our wellbeing programme. Outside of work, I am a member of a dance crew where we have gone to competitions around Europe and are currently working on getting a place in Worlds in America. I also enjoy running and recently completed the Great North Run, which I'm super proud of. Grappenhall Manor is a lovely place to work and I can't wait to spend many more years here.
