Windmill Lodge is a new, purpose built setting offering residential, dementia and nursing care services.

Located in Lytham St Annes, the lodge is a safe and welcoming environment where all residents receive the care and support they need in a space where they feel comfortable and relaxed.

Windmill Lodge also has a Day Centre for people who aren't ready for full-time residential care but are looking for extra support and company.

Every staff member has been chosen for their friendly, professional and caring qualities, and they work hard to create an atmosphere of harmony where residents can really feel comfortable in their home.

Day Centre. My husband enjoys going two afternoons a week. The staff are extremely kind and I have no hesitation in leaving him in their care.

I came here because I wanted to still have some independence but didn't want constantly to have to remember to pay the bills. I like the fact that there are activities but would like more! I like the fact that I can be independent to an extent and do like the garden.

This is probably the best Residential and Nursing care home in the area, all the staff are very attentive to not just the resident's needs but also the needs of the family. The rooms are spacious and well laid out.
It's a very modern purpose-built home set in very peaceful surroundings. There are
lots of activities which are very important for mental wellbeing.
I have found the management very approachable and they have an open door policy so any problems that might occur can be dealt with.
My dad is very well looked after and he loves being at Windmill Lodge, this home has everything from a cinema room to barbers/hairdressers to its very own library.
I can not recommend this home enough as a brilliant place with brilliant staff but do not take my word for it, go and have a look yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Mum has been visiting the daycare for the last 8 weeks. This is her first time at daycare and her experience has been a positive one. The staff are excellent and make her feel happy and welcome. There are lots of activities to keep her entertained and stimulated. We are very grateful.

The staff are professional, welcoming and friendly and provide a stimulating variety of activities whilst encouraging individual participation and interaction. The venue is welcoming and well equipped and lunch is served at the start of the session. Medication is well supervised and I look forward to
my weekly visits - enabling my wife and carer to enjoy respite for a few hours. Windmill Lodge Day Care services are greatly appreciated.

I've been impressed with all aspects of the care provided by the care home for my mum. The level of professionalism shown by all members of staff has been exceptional. Communication has been excellent, and any issues with mum's care have been handled very well.

I would thoroughly recommend Windmill Lodge, every step of the way has been handled professionally and more importantly when there has been a bump in the road the staff at Windmill have risen to the challenge. My mother is now relaxed, happy and looks 5 years younger than when she was first admitted
to Windmill 3 weeks ago, she still gets a little feisty during the "sundowning" period after 4 pm however the staff know exactly how to handle this situation.

So far so good. Mum has settled in and is enjoying the food, especially the sweets. She also loves the access to the garden.
There could be more activities but it's early days and the home has only just opened.

I desperately needed a break from caring for my husband who has vascular dementia. Windmill Lodge provided the right care at the right time. The management was very easy to deal with and I felt confident leaving my husband in their care for two weeks. He was very well looked after and very much enjoyed
his time there, so much so that he is still singing their praises.
The care staff were attentive, courteous and professional and I would have no hesitation in using Windmill Lodge again in the future.

Mum has settled in really well at Windmill Lodge. The staff have all gone out of their way to welcome Mum and to make her feel comfortable. Mum moved from another care home which could have been very unsettling for her but everyone at Windmill Lodge made the move a success. The difference in Mum since
she moved to Windmill Lodge is astonishing, she is much more talkative and happy to leave her room and socialise with the other residents. She loves being able to walk in the garden and enjoys having her lunch outside too. A huge thanks to the team for caring for Mum so well and also for helping us to navigate her move from her previous care home. The staff are always available to answer questions and always respond promptly to calls which is so important for us as my sister and I do not live locally. We feel very reassured that Mum is in such kind and caring hands at Windmill Lodge.

Mum settled well and Windmill Lodge was quick to realise Mum needed more specialist one-to-one care. Mum enjoys the surroundings and always comments on how nice the food is. The staff always friendly and the security to enter the building is excellent.

Windmill Lodge is a brand new nursing home located in St. Anne’s close to shops, beach and of course Lytham. The home is ultra modern with many forms of care for the level needed for your loved ones. It has lovely garden areas for outdoor enjoyment and luxury seating in lounges for family catch-ups.
Staff are excellent and quickly form close bonds with both residents and family. It’s a real home from home with added facilities to read, relax or simply be in the company of lovely people. I have so much confidence that my parent is safe and secure, it truly is a piece of tranquillity if you are looking for a safe haven.

My uncle has recently come to Windmill Lodge from Littleborough for a couple of weeks to spend some time with me as I live in Lytham. Myself and my uncle have been very impressed by the home always staff on the front desk to welcome you with a smile they look very professional and are always there to
help. The care staff are amazing also the activities ladies are so good. The day me and my granddaughter turned up it was teatime so the care staff made sure he got a meal and welcomed us with a drink. Both activities ladies are lovely and went above and beyond for us. The rooms are amazing my uncle has a patio door in his room leading straight to the garden. We are looking forward to the official opening on Saturday with a musical show and lots of other entertainment.

Anthony

Anthony Hoban

Job Title: Senior Sales Advisor

Joined: 2023

Hello, my name is Anthony. I am the Senior Sales Advisor based at Windmill Lodge, Lytham St. Anne's. My role is to support families from their enquiry stage through to admission of their loved ones whether that is for Respite or a more permanent residency. As part of this role, I also work with Professionals who can help relatives through the process and ensure a smooth and stress-free transition.


The rewarding nature of the role allows me to help relatives and loved ones through the most challenging decision they may take in relation to a loved one, and then see their loved one flourish here.


I have enjoyed the rewarding nature of the care industry during my time supporting adults with Autism and seeing how their own transitions to gaining more independence and new skills are unique and inspiring to me and I’m sure others too. This has led me to make a full career change and become focused on care services and seeing relatives and loved ones who choose to reside here gain more independence and benefit from the sense of community that the home provides.


I decided to make the change over to Athena Healthcare because they have wonderful reviews and read about the amazing experiences that relatives and loved ones have had. I deeply believe in the progress so far and the future of the home going forward and providing the best care services for your loved ones.


During downtime, I spend time with my wife, and long walks and I like to take my camera out for some landscape photography. I also do love Starbucks regularly too.
