My father has been at Ayton House for 2 1/2 months now and was one of the first residents. It was a big change for him and we were nervous how he would settle in but overall we're happy that he's settled in well. The main thing is that he's well looked after and is happy and at Ayton House, he is.

Can't praise Ayton House enough. Facilities, staff, atmosphere, level of care and attention to detail are all exemplary. My mother was not so keen on going into a care home but Ayton House went out of their way to facilitate this difficult move and Mum is now well settled and very happy.

Excellent facility more like a luxury hotel than a care home. Have nothing but praise for the staff, all of whom are friendly, caring and professional. Mum has settled down, made friends and feels safe and sound there. Would highly recommend Ayton House to anyone looking for a care home.

In our search for a care home for my mother, we looked for a place that would provide her with a safe, comfortable and secure environment, where she would be treated with dignity and respect and where the level of care and support was of a high standard. In all these respects, Ayton House easily meets
with our criteria. In addition, the cleanliness of her new home and the quality of food are of a very high standard and many activities are provided to keep all the residents engaged and entertained. Finally, we have found the staff and management to be very understanding and supportive of many of the areas where we needed advice.
To sum up, we are very happy for my mother to be a resident of Ayton House because we believe that she is receiving the best care possible. Well done to all.

I live a long way away from my aunt and wouldn't have felt able to leave her if we hadn't found Ayton House with it's excellent care and lovely environment when she suddenly needed it.
The atmosphere is more like that of a hotel, there are even fabric napkins in the dining room! The facilities are
well thought through and the activities are well planned and varied.
The personal care has been amazing and my aunt is gaining in strength and confidence all the time thanks to the devoted staff.
The communication is excellent. We can see what my aunt has been doing by checking the app and Ayton House calls me with any concerns.

27/02/2025 We have had a fabulous afternoon at Ayton House Care Home this afternoon for their Grand Opening. As always the staff have been amazing and put on a wonderful show. I cannot recommend this home enough. My mother has been here for 2 months and is receiving the best of care. Thank you so much

Dad has been made very welcome by the friendly staff. The facilities are tastefully designed, it's like a 5-star hotel. He likes that he is able to have his meals at times that suit him if he's not feeling hungry at their usual mealtimes.

The first week is overwhelming with questions, questions, questions! Necessary but too many all at once. The wash basin in the shower room is ridiculously small. Security is excellent but feels more like a prison. Overall atmosphere is warm, welcoming and caring. The food is excellent, made to suit
individual tastes and needs.

Mum has become a new woman since moving into Ayton House, happy, smiling, giggling even. She loves it, especially the way the staff include her in daily chores which makes her feel useful. We are very impressed with the number and range of activities Mum gets involved with and with the level of care
and attention paid to her. It is early days as we try to convert 'Respite' into a permanent residency but we could not have found a nicer place for her to go at short notice and we hope she is able to stay for a long time.

We have been nothing short of completely impressed with everything and everyone at Ayton House, it is such a warm and friendly home, with such hospitality and kindness. It is always a hard decision to move a family member into a care home but this transition has been so easy.

Everyone has been very kind and helpful. The overall ambience of Ayton House is warm and welcoming. The decor, facilities and outdoor spaces have been thought through. Mum seems to be settling in well and enjoying the daily activities.

My mother moved to Ayton House as it opened. We chose it for its position, facilities and positive feedback on meeting the staff. We have not been disappointed. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Great food - my mother is not easy to please and she has had a personalised menu. Most importantly
there is a widespread feeling of professionalism with very friendly staff. My Mother has already perked up with the attention she has received and the social/contact events that she has attended and she is obviously already stimulated. A great start to her new home where she feels safe.

Joel Fronda Ignacio

Job Title: Home Manager

I believe it’s a privilege to care for older people, and I’m determined to deliver the very best for them as the Home Manager of Ayton House. I have a unique background – as well as being a Registered General Nurse, I also have degrees in Accounting and Finance.


Being a Home Manager draws on all the skills and training I’ve achieved over my career. You need to have an eye for the financial side while also being committed to delivering first-class care. People management skills are also essential, and a level of creativity is needed too. It’s a demanding job, but I relish every day – especially any time I can spend chatting to residents and learning about their lives and experiences. It’s important that all our team members speak to residents regularly to hear how we can improve the care and service we provide.


I joined Care UK because I wanted to be part of a prestigious organisation focused on delivering outstanding care, and Care UK leads the field in this respect. I worked as the Home Manager of Care UK’s Ancasta Grove, based in Southampton, from 2022, and I’m extremely proud of the work the team does for residents there. I now look forward to the opportunity to continue this great work at Ayton House in the months and years ahead.
