Joseph Nursing and Care Home is a beautiful brand new nursing and residential care home in the sunny seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea in North Essex.

Just set back from the main esplanade, Joseph Nursing and Care Home is set in a sleepy suburban tree-lined road, away from the hustle and bustle of this lovely town, but only a few minutes walk, if you want to take in some of the seaside fun.

The Home has 16 individual bedrooms, most with walk-in wetrooms/private bathrooms, decorated to the highest standard, and beautiful in design. The Ground Floor is tailored more for specific nursing needs, whilst upstairs can be for nursing needs, but also boasts some beautiful large bay-windowed rooms, for those who enjoy their own company, and are geared towards the elderly residential Residents.

An in-house Chef cooks superb homecooked delicious meals 7 days a week, with produce mostly from local farms and providers in the area, with plenty of choice available every day of the week, including freshly made cakes and biscuits. To beautiful home-cooked roast dinners, to fish and chip Friday - all made fresh each day (no frozen fish or oven chips, they can assure you). And for movie-nights, don't forget the popcorn in abundance! Special dietary needs are also catered for.

Activities include knitting and crocheting, arts and crafts, gardening club, chair aerobics/yoga, beauty days (in the beautiful onsite salon), card games, bingo days, singing mornings, and much more besides. 1-2-1 activities are also provided for those who prefer quieter activities in the privacy of their own room.

The care was, surprise, always very good and everybody was always welcome. Every facilities was available, very good. My partner progressed in very good. Was so sad when he could not go back. He loved it there.

This is a wonderful small and personal home full of caring and kind staff and management. Whilst my mum lived here, she said she loved it. From the food to the cleanliness and especially the events coordinator who always went the extra mile. I can't praise it enough. I highly recommend.

The home is light and airy with new, good quality equipment. All the staff without exception were polite friendly and caring and always had a smile for mum.
At a time of her distress, they comforted her and you cannot ask for more.

Mum has been in Joseph Care Home for 9 weeks and her experience has been excellent. The staff are caring and professional at all times. The building is very clean and tidy and staff continuingly check residents care and cleaner. Activities are provided as individual and in groups, they are always fun
and engaging for all.
Although Mum is nil by mouth, the food always smells and looks good.

My mother came to the home for end-of-life care. From the moment she arrived all the staff made her feel welcome and at home. All the staff have and still are showing nothing but care and understanding, are respectful to Mum's needs and full of compassion. I felt calmer knowing Mum was in good loving
hands as it was so hard to leave her, but every single one of the staff were so supportive, they helped me every day during this very difficult time. I cannot thank them all enough. Always so professional in everything they do.

Since being at Joseph, my husband (who has advanced dementia) has been wonderfully looked after and cared for by all the staff. He is always clean as is his bed and room. Staff help with his feeding. I am always welcomed by staff and made aware of any problems. I am so relieved to know is at Joseph!
