With nearly 30 years of experience in elderly care, Shelley has embarked on a fulfilling career journey. Beginning as a weekend housekeeper, she steadily ascended through various roles, including Training Lead, Head of Dementia Care, Deputy Manager, and Home Manager.

Shelley's commitment to excellence in care delivery is reflected in her consistently high CQC ratings. She holds very high standards and is passionate about creating exceptional living environments for residents. Drawing from her diverse experiences, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a manager, enabling her to lead a talented team and deliver exceptional care.

What motivates Shelley is the opportunity to care for vulnerable individuals and provide them with a safe and enriching home environment. She is dedicated to ensuring that each resident receives a quality daily experience. Understanding their unique preferences and interests is essential to her, and she takes the time to connect with them, chat, and observe their body language to ensure their well-being.

As a people manager, Shelley maintains an upbeat and positive attitude with her team members. She values their input, invites feedback, and addresses their concerns to foster a happy and supportive work environment. When the staff are happy, the home is happy.

As Clinical Lead, Anna is responsible for overseeing the clinical care and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare for residents. Her role involves managing the nursing team, providing clinical guidance, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. She works closely with the care team to assess residents' needs, develop care plans, and monitor their well-being. By leading staff training and promoting best practices, Anna ensures that Colwall Care Home delivers safe, compassionate, and effective care while fostering a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

‘Inspiring Activities’ is one of our four main pillars at Rotherwood Healthcare and this is integral to Terry's role at Colwall Care Home. It can be a very sensitive role, dealing with the resident's emotional, therapeutic and recreational needs, yet fulfilling at the same time.

Will plays a crucial role in ensuring the facility's smooth operation and safety. His responsibilities include performing routine inspections, addressing repair needs, and maintaining equipment and infrastructure.

Will handle minor repairs, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other team members to ensure that the home remains in excellent condition for both staff and residents. His proactive approach and attention to detail help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone at Colwall Care Home.

Maxine plays a key role in supporting the smooth running of the home by managing administrative tasks efficiently. Her responsibilities include scheduling shifts and agency staff, maintaining staff records, and assisting with recruitment processes. She also ensures compliance with HR policies and provides administrative support to the care team. Maxine's organisational skills and attention to detail help ensure that Colwall Care Home operates effectively, allowing the care staff to focus on delivering high-quality care to residents.

As Customer Administrator, Alyssa is the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors. Her role involves handling inquiries, managing admissions, maintaining resident records, and supporting communication between families and the care team. She also assists with paperwork and ensures that all administrative tasks run smoothly. Her excellent organisational and interpersonal skills help create a welcoming environment, ensuring that families feel informed and supported throughout their care experience at Colwall Care Home.

Her role involves ensuring the quality of care across the homes is carried out to the Rotherwood standard of exceptional care and compliant with CQC regulations.
